Screens sensitive data but it should be a bigger part of an end-user device
The only improvement is that it has to be a bigger part of an end-user device. It should look at how endpoints appear on the EDR rather than creating an API to integrate into the agent app which need additional development effort. We have to integrate the source code into the system endpoint and make it as part of the connected app.

Zero trust access has secured hybrid work and now provides seamless app connectivity
Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) has significantly reduced our attack surface by making our internal apps invisible to the internet. It effectively eliminates lateral movement as users are only connected to the specific application they are authorized to use rather than the entire network segment. Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) is highly stable. The architecture uses a global mesh of service edges with built-in fault tolerance and redundancy, providing an always-on experience that is far more reliable than our old hardware-based VPN concentrator. Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) is elastically scalable because it is a software-defined perimeter and not an appliance-based solution. I can instantly scale to support thousands of additional users without needing to upgrade any physical hardware.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution is very stable and reliable."
"CloudLock is a great solution if you use multiple cloud systems like Google, Salesforce, AWS, and so on, because you can scan all systems with one tool."
"It is a good CASB solution for protection of collaboration of content."
"I like CloudLock because when data gets sent out, I do not want it to get out of the environment. In today's world, a lot of users will remotely use the application. It screens all of the sensitive data. That data will really be as part of the environment that you do not want it to be part of. CloudLock is protection for sensitive data."
"It allows us to know where sensitive data is really stored and offers the ability to quarantine based on data types and sharing criteria."
"I like CloudLock because when data gets sent out, I do not want it to get out of the environment."
"The cloud infrastructure is the solution's most valuable feature."
"It provides security and has a great service user experience."
"The scalability is amazing. Whenever we need to upgrade the users, it increases immediately."
"Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) is the most mature compared to other vendors in terms of features and stability."
"Zscaler Private Access helps by resolving network choke issues, allowing application access from public networks without needing to integrate with internal networks."
"Zscaler has allowed an easy, secure way for us to access our internal resources from outside."
"Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) is much more secure than VPN because users are only allowed to access specific applications rather than the whole network."
"The features I appreciate the most about Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) are that it is very easy to use, and we have Terraform for it, which makes it even easier and very straightforward."
"The best advantage of the product is that it is always on as a VPN, which gives us much more functionality."

Cons

"The only improvement is that it has to be a bigger part of an end-user device. It should look at how endpoints appear on the EDR rather than creating a separate agent. We have to integrate the source code into the system endpoint and make it an agent."
"The solution needs to have better integration capabilities. I have a lot of customers asking about how they can integrate it better."
"The only improvement is that it has to be a bigger part of an end-user device."
"Like all CASB products, this product also needs to expand its capabilities and features in order to increase scope of application."
"As long as this issue exists, CloudLock or any other product is only a band-aid solution."
"The current pain points we sometimes experience relate to the additional security applications we have on the laptops, and sometimes I don't know if I didn't get any notification from the application because it's an agent problem or something security-wise blocking this."
"One area for improvement is setting posture profiles for vendor machines."
"Customer service and support are rated seven or eight out of ten, needing improvement in quality and response time."
"The training costs associated with Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) are very high, and there are few resources available online."
"Zscaler restricts customization to a maximum of 256 customizable rules, which can be a limitation for us."
"I am not happy with the technical support from Zscaler Private Access (ZPA), particularly in India, where reachability is an issue with salespersons."
"There are some bugs in the solution."
"The solution is not scalable; we deploy it in a high-availability environment, but it's not automated."
