We performed a comparison between Citrix Endpoint Management and Ivanti Endpoint Security for Endpoint Manager based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about Microsoft, VMware, ManageEngine and others in Unified Endpoint Management (UEM)."Its security is most valuable. It gives us a way to secure devices, not only those that are steady. We do have a few tablets and other devices, and it is a way for us to secure these devices and manage them. We know they're out there and what's their status. We can manage their life cycle and verify that they're updated properly."
"I like the group policy management feature, which performs application monitoring and device enrollment."
"Intune can wipe devices. For example, if a disgruntled employee wants to leak the data on their company phone, Intune can terminate their access and wipe the entire device with a click."
"The technical support of Microsoft Intune is good."
"It has a useful device management feature."
"While I don't think you can ever have full visibility and control, Intune certainly allows us to see the applications being used and tells us if things like Windows patches aren't applied to machines. It does a good job. That visibility makes life a little easier."
"Configuration profiles, remediation, scripts, and auto-pilot features are very good."
"While Microsoft Intune boasts a wide range of features, its user-friendliness and bundled licensing cost are key considerations for me."
"The product is capable of acting in many different ways to help secure architecture."
"ShareFile, in particular, is valuable with its ease of sharing, and the best category security that is in the hands of users."
"We have seen improvements in compliance management on the devices."
"The MAM applications of the product are great."
"One key feature is secure application delivery, which enables the secure delivery of mobile and web applications to end-user devices. This ensures data protection and compliance with corporate policies."
"A valuable feature of Citrix Endpoint Management is that it's stable. The stability is not a challenge among the move to the cloud."
"The key differentiator is that it manages mobile devices and laptops in the same console. Windows and Linux are on the same console. This is the only product that does this. It's really the best in the industry."
"The most valuable feature of Ivanti Endpoint Security for Endpoint Manager, which my company mainly uses, is patching. Another valuable feature of Ivanti Endpoint Security for Endpoint Manager is that it allows you to view the inventory list of the different machines."
"Patching and remediation are the strongest features."
"The solution's most valuable features are its patch management functionality and provisioning."
"The most valuable features of the solution are accessing the data through the mobiles and meeting with the compliance for security best practices."
"It provides security features for unified endpoint management."
"The best part about Ivanti and Matrix 42 is that they are low-code solution builders with drag-and-drop capabilities regarding service management."
"Intune has some limitations when it comes to application updates for third-party applications. You can schedule an update, but when it's a package setup, you need to supercede and replace it each time."
"The configuration could be better by consolidating options and making it simpler."
"I would like some integration with the Microsoft reporting platform Power BI."
"It would be helpful if there was proactive remediation."
"The reporting needs to be a bit more interactive."
"There is still a gap between SCCM and Intune, especially in the reporting, inventory, and software deployment areas."
"The pricing can be expensive if you are not combining it with other products."
"The closest Microsoft Intune can be to GPOs, the better. There needs to be more granularity on application deployments. However, they have done better recently with the application deployments."
"Requires integrating with ABM before enabling some of the features."
"The tool’s battery usage was high."
"Support for inventory management of Apple devices should be added."
"Citrix often depends on other services like backend data centers, network security, and application firewalls. Issues in these areas can be misinterpreted as Citrix issues by users."
"Citrix needs to improve the architecture. They also need to strengthen the application integration. They keep referring to some things to be required as security, and they keep selling the next level and on-premise separately. They should give the customer the opportunity to decide whether they want to use the next level on-premise or on-cloud, but they should not charge additional fees if the customer wants to deploy the next level on-premise because the customer is already being charged as the end user. They should allow next level on-premise optimization without any additional charges."
"When you open a new mobile, you automatically come onboard the mobile on the Ivanti platform but it needs some improvements."
"The product's blocking definition needs improvement."
"An area for improvement in Ivanti Endpoint Security for Endpoint Manager is reporting. It's lacking. For example, Ivanti Endpoint Security for Endpoint Manager reports should tell you if the agent is up to date, if the security patch is updated, etc."
"One of the features that Ivanti could improve is patching for non-Windows settings, such as Linux and Ubuntu."
"The solution needs a complete overhaul or makeover. It gets stuck sometimes because they're focusing on the cloud UEM stuff rather than paying as much attention to that particular piece. The ease of use could be improved. It combines many different functionalities that you would need multiple servers like SCCM. If I wanted to train people, I’d move to a higher level from an Apache architect. There are five or six different products. So, training functional staff to use the product can be challenging because it can sometimes be cumbersome. Reporting is challenging. We use Avanti extraction to report off an endpoint. We don't use the reporting because of the need for more functionality, granularity, or customization."
"If I want to integrate the solution with any other solution, pushing the policies from the Ivanti side is a bit tough."
"Ivanti Endpoint Security for Endpoint Manager's support provided to its users by the vendor is one area that needs to improve."
