Bridging capabilities ensure network continuity and reliability in large-scale deployments
The most valuable feature of Cisco Wireless is the bridging capability. If one network fails, there is a link between different access points, which ensures network continuity. Additionally, Cisco offers significant discounts for large projects. The reliability and robust solution are also key aspects, as there have been no errors or failures. The implementation is straightforward, and the user interface connection is easy.

Well-suited for mobile and portable device usage but issues with stability
The problem is that when the number of users increases, TP-Link automatically drops the speed, and in terms of coverage, it falls short. We are not using any industrial-level equipment or accuracy. We are looking for something at the industrial level, advanced Access Points, not the basic ones from TP-Link. Omada Access Points could be improved in terms of connectivity and speed. That is the main thing. The other thing is security. Currently, most people are sharing their passwords, allowing unauthorized users to access Wi-Fi networks. So, the main areas for improvement are security, accessibility, and speed.

Managing installations through one interface enhances efficiency but AI features improvement
Ubiquiti Wireless LAN is reliable and offers a good quality product. It provides one interface to manage all installations, allowing me to monitor all customers through the same web interface. The web interface in the controller allows for quick configuration of devices with just one click, which is a significant advantage.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The initial setup is straightforward."
"The most valuable features are mobility and security."
"Cisco is one of the leading brands, particularly in the commercial sector. Other brands such as Extreme, cater to different categories at lower levels. Cisco maintains a comprehensive product range across all levels and excels in comparison to other networking sites. They also boast a team of highly qualified professionals, a feature that sets them apart from competitors like Netgear, which lacks such expertise."
"The support offered by Cisco is excellent. They are very responsive and knowledgeable."
"The most important thing for me is that all the access points are in one group and use one access code. So, when you move from one area to another, you don't disconnect and reconnect again. The device is also very easy to install and control."
"I like many of the features that Cisco Wireless has to offer."
"The most valuable features are that it is easy to install and the range is good."
"It always runs, and it's very reliable in terms of performance."
"Omada Access Points are very good in terms of wired technologies and wired connectivity."
"When this solution is set up, it is solid. It offers fast deployment."
"The initial setup is not complicated."
"The most valuable feature of the solution stems from the fact that it is easy to deploy and reliable."
"This product is easy to use."
"Omada is a good solution that I would recommend, and it is less expensive while providing good results."
"The most valuable feature of TP-Link Auranet EAP is its high performance."
"Omada is easy to manage, has cloud management features, and is easy to set up."
"Ubiquiti Wireless LAN is reliable and offers a good quality product."
"The management features are valuable."
"The pricing is very competitive and the feature sets are very good. It compares well against more expensive options."
"Ubiquiti WLAN is stable."
"The web interface in the controller allows for quick configuration of devices with just one click, which is a significant advantage."
"It is similar to the switches, where it is one of those things where it just works. They are very reliable."
"I find the features of Ubiquiti WLAN most valuable."
"Ubiquiti WLAN's best feature is the free controller system software."

Cons

"If they could offer better coverage, we'd be much happier."
"It was expensive. Considering the challenges faced in third-world countries like Pakistan or India, cheaper solutions are preferred."
"It's very scalable, but when you shift gears sometimes, you have to do more work than people anticipate."
"For pricing, Cisco has to make an effort, or Cisco has to improve the distribution channel."
"We've recently had hardware issues which have caused us some problems."
"The solution should introduce natural language troubleshooting processes. It will identify possible problems or errors due to the symptoms."
"The internet speed is high within environments. As you move further away from the access point, there is a decline in speed. Omada or Ruckus don’t have the speed degradation as you move away from the access point."
"They are a pretty expensive option."
"Omada could add some API integrations that would help with our automated solution. We're trying to integrate, and we're having some issues because some of the calls are not there. The API still needs some development."
"Omada's ordering platform could be improved, though. Some of their distributors are a pain to work with."
"It is less affordable for smaller businesses."
"Upgrading the hardware capabilities to newer versions like Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 7 would be a helpful improvement."
"It's better for smaller organizations. This would not work for enterprises. It is not very scalable."
"There is room for wider improvements and additional features to enhance managing capabilities."
"Omada needs improvement in the distance it can cover."
"We have some issues with stability. It is not so fast. That is the main problem."
"The logs are not detailed enough. You can't clearly see what is being blocked in Ubiquiti WLAN, making the troubleshooting process a little bit harder."
"Ubiquiti WLAN would be improved with the addition of individual AP configuration, which would allow for fine-tuning of individual access points and logins."
"There is room for improvement in providing the flexibility to change the default management VLAN from VLAN one to another for enhanced security."
"The coverage could be increased."
"The product must provide better warranties."
"Its scalability, UI, and security features could be better."
"When I started to upgrade, the controller for Unbuntu was really struggling to start up, however, that has since been solved."
"When they release new products, you should know if there backward compatibility, or do you have to replace the entire forklift, It is useful to understand their strategy and where they are headed."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Cisco is not a cheap solution. Their licensing cost is higher than that for others."
"The license is a one-time purchase."
"The price of this solution is a little more than competitors."
"It's expensive because a lot of the controls come with licenses."
"It is an expensive product. I would rate the pricing a nine out of ten, with ten being expensive."
"The price of this product is reasonable."
"I rate the tool's pricing a nine out of ten."
"Because the Cisco architecture is quite complex, you may end up having to add more components and licenses. So, the cost could go up."
"We don't have to pay for the license because the solution has no subscription cost."
"TP-Link provides solutions that are more cost-effective than other well-known brands."
"On a scale of one to ten for pricing, with one being cheap and ten being expensive, I would rate Omada Access Points at a one for its cost-effectiveness."
"The cost of Omada is much better than Aruba and Cisco, and it does what we need it to do in most cases. Around 10 percent of our clients need a more carrier-grade solution for mobile platforms."
"Its benefit is that it is cost effective."
"The price of the solution is not a lot for five people to use it."
"The cost is about 500 Brazilian real per access point, with no additional recurring costs."
"There is no need to pay for the licensing costs since my company is in South Africa. Omada Access Points can be termed as a medium-priced product."
"I rate the pricing an eight on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive."
"On a scale of one to ten, where one is expensive, and ten is cheap, I rate Ubiquiti WLAN's pricing a five to six out of ten."
"It’s an expensive product but has all the essential qualities and functionality."
"The software to control it is free. The license is when we buy the Cloud Key."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a seven out of ten."
"It is a stand-alone price."
"Its cost is reasonable."
"This product is more cost-effective than some others on the market."
