Find out in this report how the two Email Security solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The basic features are okay and I'm satisfied with the Defender."
"I would say that 90% of the spam and phishing attack emails get blocked right off the bat."
"Some of the valuable features on the email side are anti-phishing, anti-malware, and Safe Links."
"The deployment capability is a great feature."
"The email protection is excellent, especially in terms of anti-phishing policies."
"Threat Explorer is one of the features that I very much like because it is a real-time report that allows you to identify, analyze, and trace security attacks."
"At the moment we are satisfied with this product. It's a stable, scalable, and resilient solution for us."
"The most valuable feature is protection against malicious links, fishing, and impersonation. You can train people to be aware of these threats, but they're not always careful. When they're using their phones between meetings, they click on a link, and it's game over."
"It refreshes the dynamic database regularly to ensure IP addresses that no longer misbehave are not blocked by mistake."
"Mail sanitisation features are second to none."
"The policies and port blocking are the most valuable features. We have a significant amount of spam emails passing through our network."
"Check Point offers us flexibility when it comes to customizing the configurations that we want to manage, thus allowing us to meet the specific needs of our company."
"It is a highly cost-effective solution for all kinds of small, marginal, and medium enterprises."
"It's a fairly old solution, however, that has been updated over time to become one of the best manufacturers of security solutions."
"The functionality is better."
"It is certainly very beneficial for a small business and works best in combination with other Check Point blades, such as the Data Protection Blade that protects against data loss via email."

"The granularity of the setup is most valuable. It has all the features we need from global settings to per-user settings. We are pretty happy with it."
"I had server issues but I still needed to be able to look at what emails I would have received if my email server had been working correctly. SpamTitan has a reporting functionality that showed me what emails would have been sent. I could actually see the content of those emails."
"The discovery work to resolve [issues] has gotten so much easier because we can see what's going on right at the edge of our incoming and our outgoing mail. A regular tech support dude can log in... and get a very practical view of what is going on..."
"I like its ease of use. As director of IT, I'm often in contact with our staff to make sure that they're safe and secure in their usage of email, etc. The quarantine features in SpamTitan make it really easy for them to review messages that haven't come in, and the rating of the score helps them determine whether or not they want to look at them at all. So, I see the quarantine feature as one of the best things in SpamTitan."
"The product has a helpful interface."
"What I like the most is the filtering and the granularity with which you can really zoom in on the spam that's coming in and configure it exactly so that what you don't want is blocked."
"It has reduced the risk of getting viruses from emails by almost a hundred percent. We are giving services to hundreds of companies, and it makes our work a lot easier when SpamTitan is filtering threats."
"They also let you customize it to match your organization's feel, so it looks like a product from your organization. I like when companies do that. Our city logo is on it when you log in to this system."
"It would be better if it were more scalable. It depends on the architecture, but we would like to make it more scalable for both data centers."
"In one of the reports I can get the exact place where a vulnerable file resides. But for that, I need to explicitly go into the device and check. If they could include that file part in the report, without my having to go to the device itself, that would help."
"There needs to be an improvement in integrating the product to work across multiple operating systems, and to have better support for non-Microsoft file types."
"You should be able to deploy Defender for every subscription without the need to add servers."
"Microsoft Defender for Office 365 could improve by giving customers information on techniques to prevent threats. For example, information about best practices on how to protect their own devices against hackers and scammers, such as educational information or training. This would help others have a better understanding of cyber security. Additionally, there can be more security features added."
"About eight months ago, we started to measure the quantity of phishing and spam that we have been receiving, and it has been increasing a lot. That means that protection for our email is not as good as we were expecting."
"Microsoft Defender for Office 365 should be more proactive."
"Configuration requires going to a lot of places rather than just accessing one tab."
"Installation time could be improved as it takes too long to install."
"I would like this solution to be more integrated into other applications that Check Point has so that it could be managed quickly and safely from the Infinity Portal."
"One thing which annoys me with the Check Point Anti-Spam and Email Security Software Blade is its customer support portal which still lags in service even after so many developments."
"It does not provide for standalone configuration on the security gateway. Instead, you need to have a management server/smart console for managing it."
"They should upgrade support services and make a more user-friendly database."
"There could be an extension of the trial period to 60 days."
"While we often take advantage of Check Point's cloud part, including Infinity or Harmony, I would like to see products that directly deal with mobile or native environments or other operating systems that we have within the organization."
"The high-end protection of email servers from any advanced foreign agents and malware is not 100% there currently."

"The setup was a little difficult, but they did have people who helped me so I eventually got there. They had a change and my IT people had to do some stuff. There was something about pointers. I don't remember the details where we had a little trouble, but they were changing some things around."
"The only downside is that there is a delay when we're waiting for a report to be generated."
"The interface is a little dated aesthetically. I know that's a small thing, but it could use a little bit of a facelift."
"The user interface of SpamTitan is fair, at best. They're coming out with a new one. The current one is a bit hard to navigate, and that was the biggest part of what made it a steep learning curve. It took three to six months to learn how to find stuff in there."
"I'd like to see something like "My First SpamTitan," by which I mean, "Guide me through the things I need to set, and tell me about the things that you're setting already." That way I would get a good feeling for setting up the product, rather than having to figure it out by myself, which is what I did."
"There was a situation in which I needed to change the cloud server. From SpamTitan, I had to specify which server we were on for the integration into Office 365 and I actually only found that out because there was a problem. It would have been better if they had advised us of that first."
"It would be nice if the reporting feature could be updated. Also, the feel of the web interface is a little dated."
"The interface is a little outdated. The menus are simplistic and visually, it's pretty old."
