Enables a data-driven approach to process analysis and helps generate cost savings
This tool allows me to discover value before discussing technology. It's the first solution that combines business competence and capabilities with technological capabilities. With Celonis, I discuss processes and root causes, analyzing the bottleneck resource process. There is an app centered around a data-driven approach. I can create the model and, in a data-driven way, map processes using technology that supports people in investigative activities by finding root causes where processes falter. Celonis emphasizes that these goals aim to generate cost optimization.

Great reporting and customizations with good reliability
A lot of the improvement is not so much the product as it is how it's deployed; it's about mapping against what you need to improve your processes, whether it's the Kofax kind of shows in the IDP. You've got process orchestration, extraction and robotic process automation, process orchestration, and then mobile. Tracking what you need out of those, either all five together or one of those separated out, is usually what's more critical. They do add capabilities to the tool. However, from our perspective as a consulting organization, the real key is whether you are getting the data you need to improve your process or if your reporting is not providing you with the desired information you need to improve your processes. If there's any negative, it's just the different names, the branding names that the product's gone through. It's confusing.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The product helps clients visualize potential savings by minimizing human errors and reducing manual work."
"In my Celonis experience, it is easy to use and has higher AI capabilities."
"I have found the automatic mapping of the processes themselves to be a valuable feature."
"Technical support is really good. For me, the sales support matters more. When I'm in a sales cycle, the Celonis sales teams are very helpful. They reach out to me from day zero."
"From a features perspective, the discovery and analytics parts of Celonis have been valuable, especially the analytics and all of the out-of-the-box process connectors."
"Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a nine out of ten. Celonis is a wonderful tool, so you cannot find any drawbacks at the right moment."
"The analyst role within this solution is very good; it provides a transaction dashboard, and KPI module, that are completely customizable."
"The most valuable features of Celonis are its graphical interpretation and pre-built connectors with industry platforms like SAP or Oracle."
"It provides the ability to design applications directly."
"The initial setup is straightforward."
"You can easily customize reporting to pull the fields that interest you."

Cons

"Celonis is good, but it is not comfortable for the India market. I am from India, and the Celonis CPM is not compatible with our country's cybersecurity policy."
"The tool must have better process graphs."
"The one thing that could be improved is the guides are not getting updated to cover new features and upgrades, which means we can't use them at their full potential."
"It could be less expensive."
"For example, we would like to see improvement of the simulation capabilities to include a BPMN-compliant modeler. That is, we would like to be able to connect the simulation to the BPMN modeler. I think it's one of the features that is missing in Celonis."
"The price could be better, but complexity is the biggest problem. Celonis is quite easy to operate once the customizations are done. You need a large amount of skill and knowledge to work with the tool. You need to understand it and know more than the basics."
"Celonis needs to improve the feature channel."
"Essentially, the solution should allow for more plug and play instead of requiring a person to be adept at a certain level in coding and developing."
"If there's any negative, it's just the different names, the branding names that the product's gone through. It's confusing."
"The initial setup is complex and would be difficult to carry out without any training."
"It would be ideal if there were some standard forms that could be customized."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Celonis is expensive. It's not for mid or low-sized enterprises because the license price is high. Overall, it's quite pricey compared to anything else that I have heard about. But the good thing is that they don't charge per user. They charge for the data model."
"Celonis offers free learning possibilities. I am using the free version of Celonis."
"It is an expensive solution."
"The solution requires an annual license. There is room for improvement because it is priced for organizations and not for individuals. For an individual, it would be too expensive for them to use it."
"Though Celonis is a bit pricey, it is worth it."
"It is only affordable for large or public companies."
"I rate Celonis' pricing a ten out of ten because it is expensive."
"The cost of the software for us or the client is on the higher end."
