Centralized analytics has transformed mainframe monitoring and now improves capacity planning
The best features BMC AMI Cloud offers that I find most valuable are the centralized analytics dashboard, historical trend analysis, performance visualization, and reporting capabilities. Having operational data consolidated into one place makes it much easier to monitor system health and identify the performance bottlenecks. The centralized analytics dashboard of BMC AMI Cloud has made my workflow much more efficient because it brings the key performance metrics, system health information, and historical trends into a single view. Before, I often had to collect data from multiple reports or monitoring tools to understand what was happening. Now I can quickly access the information I need without switching between different systems. It especially helps during troubleshooting. When an issue is reported, I can immediately review the performance trends, resource utilization, and any unusual activity from the same dashboard. This allows me to narrow down the possible causes much faster and decide where to focus my investigation. The dashboard has reduced the amount of manual data gathering, improved visibility into the environment, and helped my team make quicker and more informed decisions when monitoring system performance or responding to an incident. BMC AMI Cloud analytics has impacted my organization positively by giving my team better visibility into the mainframe environment and making the performance monitoring more efficient. Instead of spending much time gathering data from multiple sources, I can access centralized analytics and historical trends in one place, which helps me identify the issue more quickly and make informed decisions. It has also improved my troubleshooting process as I am able to spot the performance anomalies early and investigate them before they become large problems. The reporting and analytics capabilities have made the capacity planning and performance reviews much easier while reducing the manual effort involved in collecting and analyzing the operational data. It helps me work more proactively, improves operational efficiency, and enables faster response times when performance issues arise.

Automation has reduced manual job monitoring and troubleshooting time in daily operations
I can't say how BMC AMI Ops can be improved because my role is very limited, and I have not explored the entire tool in my organization yet, so I can't comment on that. Regarding needed improvements, by default, when we open a viewpoint, we don't see the jobs in a linear way. If all jobs could be displayed in the correct flow by default, it would be better. For example, Job 1 should run first, then Job 2, and so on. Sometimes, I find Job 1 somewhere down, Job 3 somewhere up, and Job 4 somewhere else. The jobs should be arranged sequentially by default; this could be improved.
