Has helped me create clean and structured process maps with a simple setup experience
I have not explored ways Bizagi can be improved beyond creating maps. If I explore automation and integration with other processes, then I may be able to identify potential areas for improvement. I would appreciate additional features for the free version. Currently, the elements in a process map are limited to activities, decisions, flows, and start/end points. The decision map could be improved to allow more than three options at a decision point.

The product has good process mining capabilities, but it is very expensive
We are one of the three organizations across Europe and Africa that are certified implementers of FortressIQ. People who would like to use the solution must choose the right partner to implement. Some tweaking still needs to happen around the commercial model and the pricing structures. Even though the product is good, it's very difficult for customers to pay for it. It defeats the purpose if we have a good product but no one can afford to pay for it. Overall, I rate the tool a seven out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I like all of the features. I like that you can simulate the processes and add the time standard."
"Bizagi is a valuable tool for us to model and automate business processes."
"The free online Help and E-Learning is very strong."
"The natural notation is the best feature of Bizagi because it makes it compatible with other products."
"I would recommend this product to anyone who is interested in mapping and doesn't have too much of a budget."
"Bizagi is really great for beginners because it's user-friendly and you can learn in it quickly, whereas other similar software are harder."
"My primary use case of this solution is process optimization."
"I am a BPM consultant, and I have found that Bizagi's platform enables me to please my clients expectations."
"The process mining capability of the solution is valuable."
"The support is responsive and reliable."

Cons

"Its price can be improved. The price is high for the application as well as for maintaining and developing applications. When you develop, for example, a BPM, you need to pay a lot for Bizagi."
"The solution needs to make it easier to use RPA products on it. They may need an RPA specific interface. It would be better than having to make an RPA tool to use for viewing. Most of our work is about making RPA tools with the Bizagi, not using Bizagi itself."
"The technical support is not fast enough and should be improved."
"Customer Service: It needs improvement to the speed with which they respond. Technical Support: It needs improvement to the speed with which they respond."
"Bizagi doesn't have integrations with other solutions, such as ERP systems. In the industry and your company, you have a lot of systems with which you need to integrate, but Bizagi doesn't have such integrations, which makes it very difficult. Its scalability can also be improved. It is good for a startup, but when you need something more complex, it is not good."
"With Bizagi, initial loading is extremely slow."
"Its performance needs to be improved. The main thing is that it is limited, especially in terms of the response times. When the processes become a bit large, it is very awkward to work with the Bizagi modeler. When you have already modeled but start to rearrange, it is quite a bit of an effort to change the stuff. When you rearrange lanes or have new structures, it goes rather squiggly up and down and so on, which could be improved. The visual outputs of the DIREPs of the process models are pixelated and have a bad image quality. It is a PNG or JPEG, and you cannot export it as a PDF. When you have rather large processes, you should be able to arrange them hierarchically. Currently, it is not supported. If you use sub-processes and inflate a process, suddenly the arrangement is totally different, and although you know the process, you have to look where is it now. You need a good understanding of the levels of your processes before you start in Bizagi. It can have automatic support for optimal presentation. In BPM, you should have it from the top left to the bottom right. However, in most cases, people don't know how they should arrange it. Therefore, it would be nice to have a suggestion system for different arrangements to be able to better present the process."
"I think that they could improve their update process. Some of the process mining techniques could be added to Bizagi. I think that they can improve their simulation abilities to include more elements of the BPMN."
"The way the commercial model of the product is structured must be improved."
"Another aspect that needs improvement is the domain definition."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We didn't use the licensed versions where you could exactly go into automatization. However, we looked at the pricing in the beginning, and the only thing that I remember is that it was too expensive for the things we were using because our clients would also have to license the product. One client said that it was too expensive for the benefit they get out of it."
"If they can freeze the pricing in a contract, I advise them to do so."
"The modeling part of the software is free. Most of the time, it is used for this purpose."
"It has a very high price. Many clients complain about the price for maintaining the application on Bizagi."
"The pricing model is good; I believe it's free for up to 20 users, and then they start charging. I hear the solution can get quite expensive, however."
"This is a free solution."
"This solution would be expensive for a company that has a lot of users."
"The modeler itself is free. For the whole BPM suite, there are other options that may be better."
"The pricing is reasonable."
"The solution is very expensive."
