Delivers lightweight protection while facing challenges with technical aspects
I have been working with Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security for quite a long time, but recently, I do not appreciate their changes, especially on the technical side. They moved some portions to remote GUI-based interfaces. The Command Line Interface (CLI) is not improving. Even experienced personnel are finding it difficult. There is a power user function where you can stop it temporarily for installing applications. Previously, we had the option to click on the power user button and enter the password to allow stopping that particular function. Now, we have to do it via CLI, which even technical personnel struggle to understand. Currently, everything is working fine except for the technical aspects we can control. If they can revert to the old system, that would be much better. When we raise this issue with Bitdefender, they cite security reasons for the change. However, while Cisco is moving away from CLI to GUI, Bitdefender is moving backward. Normal users cannot handle these CLI operations effectively.

Enables faster updates and provides an easy-to-use user interface
I have an advanced license that includes all features. Though we have the license, we cannot use it completely because it is not enabled in the Microsoft tier. It does not make sense. We do not want to buy it separately because the price is different if we buy separate licenses.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"When it comes to the web, according to our customers, this product stands out due to its superior performance compared to others."
"The installation is easy and it takes approximately a few hours. We are deploying it from a Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tool. All you need to do is click on it and the installation is complete."
"It is perfectly stable. We haven't received any complaints from customers regarding stability or performance. It's been smooth sailing so far."
"In terms of threat detection, I would give it a ten out of ten since Bitdefender manages to catch threats that other products miss."
"Since implementing Bitdefender, the traffic to the firewall has significantly reduced, and network congestion has been resolved."
"The cloud console is good and the tool is effective in protection."
"I find Bitdefender to be very light. When we were using the other versions, users would complain that they would make the computers slow. But since we have deployed Bitdefender, we haven't had that."
"The product provides a single dashboard."
"The solution serves as a very stable platform."
"SonicWall Capture Client offers a cost-effective solution that's cheaper compared to other vendors like CrowdStrike."
"SonicWall Capture Client's scalability is nice."
"The threat protection feature of SonicWall Capture Client is most valuable."
"Considering other products, SonicWall Capture Client has two differentiators."
"Overall, what I love the most about SonicWall Capture Client is its management console. SonicWall Capture Client also has the intelligence to tell you which computer is online, what OS it uses, etc. I also found the rollback feature and SentinelOne integration valuable in SonicWall Capture Client. Rollback is a powerful feature of the solution because it's similar to locking your endpoint during an attack, so you won't have to pay the hackers, particularly during ransomware attacks. That feature in SonicWall Capture Client allows you to get back your endpoint or make your endpoint right again after an attack. I also like that it isn't complex to remove the engine error from the endpoint because you only have to provide the security key from SonicWall Capture Client, so the process is simple. It's not complex."
"The most valuable features of SonicWall Capture Client are CSC (Capture Security Center), RTDMI (Real-Time Deep Memory Inspection), and the deep memory inspection feature."
"The product’s interface is easy to use."

Cons

"The price of the bandwidth here is very expensive compared to European countries."
"Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security could improve the RDP, I have problems sometimes."
"We had experienced a crash and had to reinstall it."
"Overall, Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security is quite good. It always has new features which customers can use for free, so I can't say that something is missing in the solution, though one area for improvement is that the cloud version of Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security still can't connect to a central SIEM. The on-premises version has that capability, but the cloud version doesn't."
"Machines with low memory and CPU may experience slow performance."
"The phishing feature report showed zero results, and the patch management component is one of the two main issues that need improvement."
"There is room for improvement in CPU utilization."
"The lack of detecting security threats and high memory usage need to be improved."
"The implementation is not easy."
"The biggest issue with SonicWall Capture Client is network latency."
"An area for improvement in SonicWall Capture Client is TenantCloud support. Suppose you want to implement SonicWall Capture Client. You'll have to register it on MySonicWall. Then once your SonicWall Capture Client license expires and you don't want to renew it, you can't delete it from your MySonicWall account, so that's an area for improvement."
"It takes technical support too long to resolve an issue."
"SonicWall Capture Client could be made a little lighter than it currently is in terms of memory consumption."
"Technical support from SonicWall has room for improvement. While their escalation process is understandable, it can be time-consuming as all logs need to be provided multiple times across different service levels."
"XDR cannot be used unless MDR services are purchased with SonicWall."
"SonicWall Capture Client should use less of our PC's memory, as it tends to slow down the performance."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product's pricing is okay and it is yearly."
"The price is fair."
"The solution is reasonable and is nominally priced in accordance with the features that offer to the market."
"The license is yearly."
"The pricing is reasonable when I compare it to other security solutions, particularly Kaspersky, it stands out. It offers an excellent solution at a more favorable price point."
"Its price has gone up since our last renewal. My renewal fee has gone from $517.99 in 2018 for 3 years to $739.99 when it renews this year in July. I love the product, but a price increase of over 40% is a bit exorbitant."
"The tool's pricing structure is good. We use an annual subscription."
"We pay for an annual license which is affordable."
"Here in Indonesia, SonicWall Capture Client costs five hundred thousand rupiahs for every endpoint. If I'm correct, you only have to pay the licensing fee, and there's no additional fee. To me, the pricing for SonicWall Capture Client is four out of five."
"The product is very expensive."
"You have to pay for the solution, and a lot of customers do not want to pay."
