Has supported secure data storage with incremental backups and centralized monitoring
Azure Backup supports all the features that we need, so additional features are not an immediate need for me. The documentation for Azure Backup seems okay for me; it is good overall, but it should be more descriptive for each item. It should elaborate more on how backup and restore are fulfilled in different scenarios. One of the reviews indicates that Azure Backup needs improvements for specific backup options beyond just full VM snapshots. I believe it should be improved actually. Regarding specific backup options, I say there should be improvements compared to how they provided them in older days.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Microsoft technical support is okay; I never had any problem with it, and compared to Amazon Web Services, I think I like Microsoft's support because I just have to call them to obtain all the support that I need, and they are very proactive, helping you build solutions since they know that your business will grow and mature after helping you design the solution, provide you with tools, and free licenses."
"The setup of Azure Backup is very easy."
"I like that it's a stable solution and their support is good. I think Microsoft's commercial force is superior."
"I like that it's a simple system."
"The most valuable feature of Azure Backup is the file recovery and file vault."
"The product is cost-effective compared to other vendors."
"It is a stable solution...It is a highly scalable solution."
"Azure is easy and simple to configure; it's easy to use."
"The most valuable feature for our customers is the restore functionality."
"The reliable backup and restoring of the Salesforce data is the most valuable feature."

Cons

"We would like to see some kind of notification given to the user that a file was not synchronized well or what may have happened."
"The user interface is a little bit confusing and it could be better."
"There is a limitation of 99 files restores per day which means that we can't complete a huge file restore. We would like Azure to increase the number of the possible file restorations."
"Azure Backup's licensing model is very challenging because it doesn't give a clear picture."
"The compression ratio of the backup data should be improved."
"The length of time it takes to restore is our main source of frustration. It would be beneficial to shorten the time it takes."
"The product must improve on a database level."
"In terms of tech support, I'm disappointed with support."
"There is need to do the same for the other SaaS applications."
"The anonymization feature can be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product is not expensive."
"The product's pricing is a three or four out of ten, where one is inexpensive, and ten is costly."
"Overall, its cost is better because the VMs are already there, and whatever you back up, there is only the additional cost of that storage, whereas if I have to use Avamar in Azure, a separate cost is there for the Avamar server, and in addition, whatever I take as a backup, there is a separate license with Avamar for that. So, there is a double cost if we have to use Avamar in the cloud."
"The price is pretty good, maybe $30 for a machine, I can't complain."
"Licensing fees are paid on a monthly basis."
"Considering the fact that our company's enterprise-sized customers use the solution, the product's price is fine and is not on the higher side of the spectrum."
"It is incredibly cost-effective and offers fixed pricing, with no additional fees for the licensing."
"There is a cost per terabyte for using this solution."
