Makes it easy to build cross-platform with cloud-based, one-click app build system
I was searching for a reliable tool to develop a native mobile app for both Android and iOS. I found Axway Appcelerator packed with awesome features, that it was easy to learn and easy to build cross-platform Using the same web technology to develop cross-platform native apps. Cloud-based…

Integration processes improve but scripting requires effort
The updates, pricing part, and upgrades to the products are some of the most valuable features with the Salesforce Platform. With the Salesforce Platform, I have minimal experience of approximately one and a half years. I get minimal exposure, once every three or two months, especially during holidays. The Salesforce Platform is connected to the cloud, which is beneficial. When it is integrated with different tools such as Microsoft BI Analytics, it helps us analyze much better. Currently, the integration itself is tricky as we have to use extensive scripting. It should be more of a plug-in and use solution. That is the only issue I see, but otherwise, I appreciate it.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Enables me to use the same web technology to develop cross-platform native apps. The cloud-based one-click app build system is a valuable feature as well."
"What functions we don't get out of Salesforce, we typically receive from third-party applications that extend the capabilities. We integrate a lot of different products with Salesforce."
"The presentation is clear and easy to comprehend."
"Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten...I rate Salesforce Platform's technical support a ten out of ten."
"A very flexible solution."
"Salesforce provides customization that aligns with our organization's lifecycle management of opportunities. It integrates with our call records, meeting notes, and the Outlook calendar, which helps in mapping roles and managing opportunities effectively."
"We also use Salesforce to find trends to make informed decisions in terms of events and marketing campaigns."
"The stability has been great."
"The lead conversion process in Salesforce Sales Cloud is extremely valuable."

Cons

"Scalability is not so good if you have a complex UX."
"It would be awesome if they would work on improving the speed of the app building process."
"When it switched to lightning, it threw me for a loop. When they changed the look and feel, I had a hard time finding things and doing what I used to do."
"It is quite expensive. It has gotten to that point where it is a lot more pricey. It has kind of got its own proprietary language for development. It is probably never going to change, but if it had a more market language for development, it would be easier to find developers. They come at a premium cost, so it is expensive."
"It's all set up for us in a way that establishes our account. We need to tag ourselves to opportunities. You have to tag yourself to the opportunity manually; you need to find it yourself and tag it."
"The solution is a bit expensive."
"I do not like the number of clicks required to get information. The UI is not very intuitive or innovative."
"Salesforce Platform has a cumbersome interface when creating reports, dashboards, and those types of things. They could be a little bit more simple. The administration has to be an aficionado to do any sort of administration and maintenance, for example, setting up the way you want to modify the lead tracks or functions. These systems tend to be quite cumbersome."
"Salesforce's mobile app could be better. Also, it could integrate more seamlessly with Gmail."
"There is always room for improvement. It can be hard to learn, but when you have somebody who is experienced in this, it is like anything else. It is like Excel, you'll never know everything about Excel, but there's somebody who would possibly know. I'm sure I don't know all of the ins and outs of Salesforce."

"It is an expensive program."
"For the number of people that are using Salesforce Platform in my organization, I feel the price is reasonable."
