Room For Improvement

Automox users desire improved multi-organization management with profile sync, detailed reporting, enhanced automation, and reduced bandwidth for updates.
Bitdefender GravityZone needs better usability, pricing, integration, and performance, with improvements in reporting, monitoring costs, and mobile features.
Normal users cannot handle these CLI operations effectively.
Operating from the primary site, we face challenges with the on-premises version when working from the DR site, which is why we want to move to the cloud for continuous protection during site failovers.
The initial file I download to deploy on end-user devices is about six hundred to seven hundred megabytes, and it should be scaled down to an agent size of maybe less than one hundred megabytes, max.

Setup Cost

Automox offers competitive, cost-effective pricing with a $2 per-endpoint fee and a free trial for evaluation.
Bitdefender GravityZone offers flexible, mid-range pricing and modular licensing, with costs from $0.70 to $4.00 per device.
Regarding pricing, setup cost, and licensing, it is affordable.
Maintaining Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security has been smooth.

Valuable Features

Automox is a cloud-based platform offering cross-platform patching, task automation, intuitive interface, and scalable remote management.
Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security excels in threat detection, ransomware protection, and resource management, enhancing network visibility and user satisfaction.
In terms of threat detection, I would give it a ten out of ten since Bitdefender manages to catch threats that other products miss.
It operates in real-time, and we've enabled it to detect malicious activities in our network and at the endpoint level, performing quite effectively.
From my reseller perspective, the best features of Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security that stand out are the sandboxing and reporting capabilities.

Easy to use and deploy agents but needs more stability
We just need to deploy the agent to the endpoints. We don't need to set up anything. For a single agent, it takes one or two minutes. However, we deployed globally, and you need to take into consideration the time it will take to deploy across each endpoint. It's very simple to deploy. We had three or four engineers take care of the implementation.

Delivers lightweight protection while facing challenges with technical aspects
I have been working with Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security for quite a long time, but recently, I do not appreciate their changes, especially on the technical side. They moved some portions to remote GUI-based interfaces. The Command Line Interface (CLI) is not improving. Even experienced personnel are finding it difficult. There is a power user function where you can stop it temporarily for installing applications. Previously, we had the option to click on the power user button and enter the password to allow stopping that particular function. Now, we have to do it via CLI, which even technical personnel struggle to understand. Currently, everything is working fine except for the technical aspects we can control. If they can revert to the old system, that would be much better. When we raise this issue with Bitdefender, they cite security reasons for the change. However, while Cisco is moving away from CLI to GUI, Bitdefender is moving backward. Normal users cannot handle these CLI operations effectively.
