Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

A testing platform with a good API for apps, but pricing is complicated
I like that the AI Testbot is a near-zero code application for testing. For this use case, the function is good. The services are robust. Game testing and the API for apps are also good. From the perspective of pricing, licensing, ease of use, integration with other applications, impact complexity, and integration with other tools, we're pretty much very satisfied.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Compared to other RPA solutions on the market I have worked with, AA surpasses its competitors by far."
"The most valuable feature is the back-end process automation."
"The technical support is good, and we have not had any issues."
"We have been able to take resources that have been doing manual work and putting them into more productive work."
"In human resources, we created several core SAP systems so that the basic users in human resources can reduce redundancies by 10 times with very little cost."
"Automation Anywhere greatly improved our processing time since robots can execute process steps faster than human resources do."
"Training videos are very good and include detailed examples, which is really helpful for beginners."
"After using AA for some of the flows, we identified that the execution time was reduced by 70% when compared to the other automation tool that we have been using for 8 years."
"Game testing and the API for apps are good."
"The overall product is awesome for device fragmentation, but not for automation."
"From the perspective of pricing, licensing, ease of use, integration with other applications, impact complexity, and integration with other tools, we're pretty much very satisfied."
"Ability to use different frameworks."
"The feature that I like the most is that you can use different frameworks, whether it's APM or something else, and you don't need to worry about the framework."

Cons

"When working with Excel, unlike other tools such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere does not have the standard variables for .Net data types."
"It has been challenging integrating Automation Anywhere with other solutions, due to all of the controls, as we are a bank."
"It is difficult to learn all the possibilities that the product and automation itself offer."
"When it comes to reading email, this solution is unstable and improvements need to be made."
"It is nice being able to develop and manage/schedule scripts from the same web browser interface, but there are times I wish that the bot developer screen was made more user friendly."
"The process discovery side needs improvement."
"Regarding the UI, once you're in some of the screens there are fixed dialogues. They are a set size, so there's a lot of horizontal scrolls and vertical scrolls."
"I would like to see a bot button."
"Lacking capability options that can be directly integrated."
"Some stages of its automation is not working correctly and I need to make changes in the code created by Testdroid."
"Improvement of the product could be made by running the dashboard part, it gets stuck sometimes."
"Their pricing structure is complicated and can be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product’s pricing is reasonable."
"The cost can be reduced a little for users."
"When I started working on it, it was difficult to obtain a trial version (barrier to entry). Now, they have a Community Edition, which may make it easy to get started."
"It's somewhat pricier than some of the other tools that we've used, and the breakout between the different applications is also somewhat costly. If they can make it a little more cost-effective or bundle packages a little bit more, that would be beneficial."
"It is affordable for us."
"There may be room for the product to be more competitively priced to excel in the market."
"Based on what I've heard, it's costly, but I don't know much about its pricing."
"We brought onshore a lot of what we were doing offshore, saving our company close to $20 million."
"The pricing is complicated. It's in the middle."
