We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It's a pretty robust product.""A helpful feature is the analytics capability within WorkFusion. The analytics dashboards, i.e., their Tableau dashboards, are really helpful for building a business activity monitoring layer. These are very visible to senior management and stakeholders, who can see and know what is happening within processes. They can see what benefits are getting delivered as processes, either ;daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly. It is easy for stakeholders or senior management to understand the value for the money that they are spending.""The solution is stable, we have not had any glitches or problems.""We need to analyze documents in order to understand them. We don't need to dedicate much time to this because WorkFusion's machine learning capabilities are very good. We can easily extract information and classify these documents. The document processing engine is very important to our organization because it is the center for many use cases, as we need to control the information contained in documents.""It takes care of simple tasks so users can focus more on exceptions than on regular use cases. They only focus on orders where they need to handle an exception, some information was not given, or there is an issue that they had to focus on. The rest of it goes straight through without human touch. We want to see our employees as engineers, wherein they think and solve problems, not necessarily have to do repetitive tasks. I think WorkFusion helps with avoiding repetitive tasks.""WorkFusion helps by speeding up processes. The process takes time. It has business costs associated because there are people waiting to take the next steps in the process. The end result of waiting, whether it is an internal or external team, is that they are delayed. Therefore, it helps us in speeding up business processes and improving employee morale, as people don't have to do repetitive work anymore.""We recommend different solutions based on our customers' needs, and WorkFusion is what we offer for those who need a premium solution.""We have seen Workfusion improve on accuracy and compliance... With the Workfusion model, we reduce human error and the need for further QC. We switch more to a QA process where we're testing whether the model is effective."

"On the server-side, multiple developers working on a single project can save their individual works and have them stored in a single repository.""Automation Anywhere has improved my organization by automating many rule-based and nonjudgmental processes in domains like telecommunications, human resources, financial services, and daily or monthly reporting.""During the digital transformation of a company, the number of internal portals and applications increases leading to an increased number of data silos.""IQ Bot is very helpful as it is easy to learn and implement and the data output accuracy is almost 90%. Over time, the BOT learns from the validation which is an added advantage. Whatever I was thinking for version 11.3, it's being implemented in A2019. The incorporation of Python scripts is also implemented which will be easier for validations.""The most valuable features for us are the Image Recognition and Object Cloning. We used this feature to automate our web-based tasks with repetitive actions or complex conditions. These features are very easy to use and do not require you to have deep knowledge in programming to understand since it has a drop and drag feature used to control it.""One of the most valuable features is the error handler, as this command has helped me design bots that can handle multiple errors and exceptions.""I'd say the most impactful and heavily or commonly used ability of v11 and A2019 has been the ability to integrate other code types and operations within the process.""We mostly used the Database commands in order to make the process faster and more secure, rather than using Excel or a CSV for reading the input files."

More Automation Anywhere (AA) Pros →

"It is easy to deploy. To do the automation in NICE, you really need to use your programming expertise. There are no inbuilt features in it, and you have to create all the required features, which can be very interesting for a programmer.""It is a kind of desktop automation. Its licensing model is a little bit different. It tends to be individual automation specific to a role. It excels at that.""Provides good automation features."

Cons
"There could be better version control through their web platform. That is something that could be improved on. Integration from the IDE, e.g., from WorkFusion Studio directly into Control Tower, would be nice to have too.""The most common issue we have is with the OCR, but that also depends on the quality of the documents your scanning. Still, I would say the OCR is comparable to other solutions. I wouldn't say it's better or worse than other OCR engines.""I would like it if they provided a more detailed roadmap in terms of where they are going with the product. As we are trying to make decisions about the things that we are going to do to try to augment our capabilities, we could know whether they are thinking about the same things or not.""There is enhanced functionality I would like to see, things that would further enhance the user experience, deliver greater efficiencies, and further mitigate risk.""We have had some problems in the past with the Inspector tool that looks at the elements on the screen. Replacing it or improving it is needed.""So far, we have developed only one automation using machine learning. The results were less than optimal. Part of this could be because of the use case that was selected. Overall, our experience was suboptimal. WorkFusion was an outstanding partner in terms of providing their experts for free to help us on that particular use case, but we still have a lot of things to figure out in terms of how to use its machine learning capability.""We are having some database issues, but we are addressing them.""We had some issues in the past, but it is fairly stable now. From what I hear, it is more stable in the later versions. With version 10.1.4, there were some issues relating to load distribution. However, it is good now."

More WorkFusion Cons →

"As a business user, I would like to have a feature wherein the bot is run on demand, whenever an email with a specific keyword or whenever a specific pers sends an email to the bot's email address.""It should be easier to use.""Especially while using v11, I often experience freezes with OCR extraction from PDF files.""As of now IQ Bot only takes/fetches the record of the places that we have marked. e.g. Invoices fields that are dynamic in nature are very difficult to fetch the data from the scan copy. If this feature gets added, it will save a lot of time for developers.""The product should improve on Voice Recognition and IoT pretty soon, as this is the next big thing in and I would like to see this upgraded in the next release.""If we are getting input from a CSV file, we have to add one more layer of automation that first saves the data to an Excel file.""AA sometimes poses compatibility problems with new web browser versions like Chrome.""While using IQ Bot we found that data extraction accuracy is a bit weaker in semi-structured documents compared with structured documents. We would like to see improvement in the data extraction part of Automation Anywhere IQ Bot."

More Automation Anywhere (AA) Cons →

"We haven't found it to be as powerful as some of the other platforms. From a true RPA perspective, it is pretty far behind some of the other solutions. It has emerged as a more desktop automation kind of tool, but it lacks a lot of enterprise features. It is not really a true RPA because of its licensing, which is kind of user-initiated. It would be nice it can be deployed at a more enterprise licensing model versus a user-based model. It didn't have autonomous automation so far, and they have just released this feature. They have kind of hodgepodged a bunch of products together to get there, but it is not as seamless as other solutions.""The solution is not as intuitive as it could be and integrating took a lot of time.""Its connectivity with other applications should be improved. In the version that I was using, it would just stop interacting with the other application. Its graphical interface should also be improved. It should have a user-friendly interface. Sometimes, people find it very difficult to understand. One of the obstacles that I faced while programming was that if I needed any kind of help, there wasn't much content on the internet. It can be very difficult to find a solution for a particular issue."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "It is not the most expensive solution, but it is also not the cheapest."
  • "I can't speak to pricing. It's a contract signed by upper management."
  • "We are on an annual contract to use the solution."
  • "My client is using RPA Express, which is available for them to use free of charge."
  • "One upgrade took a year to do, from the first server being built to the last bot being migrated. This was because we had to migrate all our existing bots. This is the same process and time frame that we are expecting towards the upcoming upgrade. I will end up spending half a million dollars to do an upgrade."
  • "The solution was not the cheapest, but it was also not the most expensive. Workfusion was very open to negotiating pricing and to working within the objectives of our firm."
  • "As a first-time customer who wants to engage with WorkFusion, not working for my company, then I would want to do a PoC. The cost is prohibitive because they will ask me to get infrastructure with six or seven servers. Then, you must buy a WorkFusion license to do a PoC, which is expensive. I would then have to set up a team to build the PoC and see the benefits. That is very prohibitive."
  • "We have a good deal from WorkFusion. We have an unlimited global licensing deal with WorkFusion. For us, it is a no-worry solution. We can go ahead and use it as much as possible anywhere we need it. If WorkFusion has a different kind of a deal for licensing with others, then their business decisions need to be evaluated based on that."
  • More WorkFusion Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "My only suggestion in terms of pricing is very generic and that is to consider that as much as RPA saves cost and does automation, please get a realistic estimation done on whether you are really achieving any ROI over your investment with RPA."
  • "It is one of the most affordable RPA solutions, and as for licensing, they offer a community edition that greatly helps anyone who aspires to learn about the product before buying the enterprise solution."
  • "The price of this product is good."
  • "I don't deal have cost specifics but I can say it is a tool that provides value for the money."
  • "Pricing is affordable and I would recommend beginning with the Starter Package."
  • "The pricing and licensing are definitely moderate to costly but easily recoverable by achieving ROI quickly."
  • "Automation Anywhere is flexible in terms of costing and licensing."
  • "From my experience, I can say that the initial setup cost is easily recovered over a period of time once the bots start running in production."

  • "As per my understanding, UiPath has a much lesser cost than NICE, but I am not sure."
