Easy to use, reliable, and simple to expand
We have used the same version for two years, however, now there's a new version, which solves a lot of problems. The solution we use that's from two years ago, has the ARIS Connect Server, the web application, and the ARIS client application. Some things you have to do in the clients, and you can't do them in the web environment. In the new version, though it's not installed by us, it's changed. You can do this. You can do almost everything in the web client. The difficulty that you have with switching between the two environments is solved in the new version. However, I haven't tested it yet. That said, that was one of the issues we had. It's a bit annoying that you have to use two environments in the older version.

Facilitates process integration across departments but requires better pricing and broader feature adoption
The most valuable features I find in Oracle BPM include a unified process management platform, human workflow management, and process simulation and optimization. I see that it is integrated with other ERPs. If you integrate it with human HRMS workflow management, then it will provide integration with HRMS for Oracle E-Business Suite and for process analytics and business.

"It is easy to use in a business processing suite."
"We have more than 800 distinct applications in our IT landscape. We had enough scalability and okay development cycles, and it has been enough to cover our backup operations and order management systems."
"What I found most valuable in Oracle BPM is that it has a lot of out-of-the-box integrations. The solution also provides a lot of adapters which is very helpful."
"The support is good."
"The solution provides extensive functionalities."
"The most valuable features I find in Oracle BPM include a unified process management platform, human workflow management, and process simulation and optimization."
"Our company is based around Oracle processes. It provides a lot of flexibility in its processes."
"The most valuable features I find in Oracle BPM include a unified process management platform, human workflow management, and process simulation and optimization."

Cons

"The solution uses a coding language for process design that is specific only to this product. We would like to see this changed to something more universal."
"It's a bit annoying that you have to use two environments in the older version."
"There is a lot of complexity around licensing."
"I recognize the product has areas for potential improvement similar to every tool."
"Regarding the Process Analytics feature, which features are you referring to?"
"From my knowledge of this solution, I don't see that the Oracle BPM includes features such as the growth of discovery and process mining."
"It would be good if they could provide some additional connectors or an application developer environment for microservices."
"Oracle BPM could probably be improved with respect to the cost. When you are using this product, it'll be a bit costlier for the ROA. I think they should do some discounts on these products, especially for the licenses."
"The overall pricing of the product is around $1,000 per user, or the licensing of Oracle BPM will cost around $50,000 plus."
"There are delays in offering the latest technology, so there is a need to be more responsive to technological changes."
"Existing APIs in the product need to be fine-tuned, made more robust and flexible for adoption."
"Their Case Management set of features is severely lacking and should be a target for immediate improvement dealing with unpredictable processes inside of organizations."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"The pricing is very expensive."
"I don't have information on the exact cost of Oracle BPM because a different team handles that, but it's pretty high. Oracle products are very costly. I would rate pricing for Oracle BPM three out of five. Though the pricing is high, the solution has a lot of features."
"The pricing is significantly high, particularly for Brazil where fluctuations in the exchange rate between the dollar and the real can further increase the cost of Oracle licenses."
"The licensing model is good."
"We received the product packaged into the Oracle database solution."
"This solution is very expensive. You are charged per license and an additional 20% for support."
"As with all Oracle products, the licensing over VMware is an issue."
"Oracle is good, but they're still expensive compared to other vendors."
