Reliable documentation and support streamline deployment and troubleshooting
The best features with Amazon Linux include the integration with AWS and other services. It is an operating system that AWS manages, and I feel I can trust it regarding the updates without interfering with or interrupting services. The performance of Amazon Linux with AWS services is perfectly fine. I use it and change the instance type to give it more resources at times, and for the sandbox, I give it less, and it satisfies what we want. Amazon Linux reduces the time it would take for setup or deployment because I rely on the documentation for AWS since it's streamlined, and the commands I need to run are easily accessible whenever I need to look up anything. We've used the application load balancers with Amazon Linux, and that's the main one I can think of regarding advanced networking capabilities. That feature has definitely helped us enhance the scalability and reliability of our cloud applications by easing administration, as the application load balancer is managed by AWS and ties in with Amazon Certificate Manager, ensuring I do not have to concern myself with scalability and any updates. The main positive impact of Amazon Linux on my company has been no interruptions of services. The public website is up and running, which allows us to monetize with virtually no staff hours for downtime or service interruptions.

We use our laptops with Windows only. We use it for everything. For the last 20 years, my entire career, I've been using Windows only. Office 365 will be extensively used, along with other tools from Office 365 Everything is good. It's easy to use. It supports AI initiatives. Like we use…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Whenever I deploy solutions on Amazon Linux, I almost never have to worry about the operating system."
"The search bar and graphic user interface (GUI) are my most valuable features."
"The tool is very stable and I don't recall a time the screen went blue which was common for Windows 7. The product's installation is fast. If I have any issue that prevents me from booting Windows 11, it will automatically run into auto-repair mode and fix those issues. Windows 10 had this functionality but it wasn't good."
"The tool's most valuable feature is its stability. When we planned the migration, about 70 percent of it was done remotely. We encountered some incidents, which were resolved quickly."
"Windows 11 is easy to install. If you have any unclear issues, you can search Google for them. If you can't find any solutions, you can refer the issue to the IT support team."
"Windows 11 is very user-friendly and has improved user interactivity compared to Windows 10."
"The ability to divide the screen into two or three sections is useful."
"The tool's integrated antivirus program, Microsoft Defender, is enough for my purpose."
"We are migrating from Windows 10 to Windows 11 due to end-of-life, security concerns, and end-of-support. The tool's configuration is good and we are satisfied with it since it's a Microsoft product. We didn't face any hurdles in using the tool. We didn't feel much difference with both Windows products. The solution is good because in IT we want to secure our data. Nowadays, data is the most valuable thing. If your data is secured, then you are secured. I think that everyone has to move to Windows 11 since Windows 10 is facing end-of-life and end-of-sales, probably by 2024."

Cons

"I have honestly never had any problems with Amazon Linux, aside from disk space issues."
"I didn't find any reliable reviews for applications in the Microsoft Store."
"I have noticed a difference in audio option."
"Accessing the network settings takes more time and can be cumbersome."
"Major updates cause problems in small business environments because the end customers have to upgrade their workstations."
"The interface should be enhanced and more user-friendly."
"The product's price, performance, and implementation accessibility need improvement."
"The driver updates for the solution could be better."
"The solution’s pricing could be improved."

"My company purchases licenses in bulk for 2000 users."
"I'm not directly involved in the financial aspects, but based on feedback from colleagues, Microsoft is flexible with pricing and addressing other licensing needs."
"I use the free home version."
"The licensing is expensive, but it's value for money. Many people need it for deployment in Windows environments. It's very much required at this time."
