Interactive dashboards have transformed clinical reporting and now support real time decisions
The best features of SAS Visual Analytics include performing data manipulation. I would characterize this as making data ready, transforming data, and making new variables through code while utilizing low-code and no-code facilities. In my experience, low-code features in SAS Visual Analytics help when I need to create a new variable. For instance, I can extract a date through the data roll step, and with no-code features, I can perform report creation by simply using drag and drop functionality. After implementing SAS Visual Analytics, we have generated a new way to generate revenue by providing live data visuals to our clients and making our team aware of data in real time, which has had a significant positive impact.

Quotes from Members

Pros

"Ingres is the only database solution that has maintained a level of consistency and integrity about the way users interact with it."
"The most valuable features for us are reliability and performance."
"The deployment of our solution across a number of servers using Ingres .NET has meant that we can protect the database server behind a highly secure firewall and deploy the front end solutions on a normal web server."
"I would rate the overall solution a ten out of ten."
"The correlation gives us a better understanding of new data."
"It integrates well with SAS, making it simple and quick for developers."
"It was helpful for creating KPI dashboards to report the status of the operations of the entire company to the management."
"It's quite easy to learn and to progress with SAS from an end-user perspective."
"What I really love about the software is that I have never struggled in implementing it for complex business requirements."
"The variety of graphs and charts make it easy to show the data in a way that's easy to interpret."
"Simplifies report designs and quickly displays tables and graphs."

Cons

"The seamless integration is a bit of an issue."
"The ability to reset the log file without stopping the DBMS would be helpful for us."
"There is room for improvement in anti-money laundering prevention and operation monitoring, as well as operation monitoring surveillance."
"The solution should improve its graphics."
"Regarding performance, they have some issues. They have always had some issues there."
"The charts and tables could use better sorting, primarily using other variables than the ones on the figure. If they could implement views like in the older version (previous to Viya), it would be very nice."
"SAS Visual Analytics was often prone to crashing. Modules with barely 20 to 30 GB datasets took a lot of time to load even after satisfying necessary software specifications (RAM, etc.)."
"A bit more flexibility in the temperatization will be helpful."
"The graphics capabilities of SAS focus on SAS / BASE and SAS / Enterprise Guide and, without considering SAS / Visual Analytics is licensed part, they are pretty fair."
"If there could be 100% feasibility of forecasting feature available then we could be more accurate as it's currently 95%."
