Seamless integration supports small teams with existing skills
The most valuable feature we've found with Veritas CloudPoint so far is the lack of a learning curve because the team was already familiar with all of the consoles and how to build policies. As they started to use it in Azure, they were able to continue doing things as they were used to doing them rather than having to learn a new tool. The efficiency gain we've experienced is that we were able to start deploying backup policies to Azure without having to learn a new tool, even though there are arguments about overhead and granularity if one uses native Azure backup tools compared to Veritas CloudPoint.

Pros

"The disaster recovery feature."
"The product is a good anti-ransomware solution."
"The solution has helped us maintain the backups, compliance, and integrity of the data residing on the servers and endpoints."
"The most valuable features are the automated backup, and that you are able to manage all of your devices centrally."
"The user interface is the most valuable feature for me because I can manage backups and teams in one console."
"We like the backup functionality."
"It has one console for many loads and one backup for many recovery options, and converting backups as a virtual machine offers an edge as a low-cost Disaster Recovery solution."
"I have found many of the backup options valuable such as logging the event backup and the ability to run an analysis of the backup before you start for problems."
"The most valuable features are the indexing, the file-level restore, and the replications between regions."
"The most valuable features are the indexing, the file-level restore, and the replications between regions."
"The initial setup is very easy and quite straightforward."
"I would rate Veritas CloudPoint a ten because it's done everything it says it'll do, and we've really not had many problems with it."
"The product is good for volume-level backups."

Cons

"User interface improvements: I think this needs to be done in the navigation path into the UIs, mainly for the reseller interfaces."
"They could support Linux OS primarily for servers."
"Acronis may claim it's due to security reasons, but I believe there should be an option to delete specific files from old backups stored on the Acronis Cloud. Currently, there is no such feature, and I strongly feel the need for a deletion option for erroneous backups."
"The reporting could be improved. I would like to see some enhancements in that regard."
"The shortcomings in the solution can be overcome if the product improves in the area of completion time so that the restoration process does not take much time."
"On the client-side, the antivirus engine was slowing down their finance server terribly."
"I have found that the solution is not as stable as it could be. When there are some errors it is difficult to know what took place to resolve them."
"I would like them to improve the command line feature. The command line is not working smoothly, and there is some problem with it."
"The product needs to improve its file-level or granular-level backups."
"They are niche with the work that they do, but they should have more integration with NetBackup and the reporting is something they should be working towards improving."

"The product needs to improve its file-level or granular-level backups."
"I don't care for the pricing or capacity license model from Veritas CloudPoint because there are cases where we back up the same data multiple times, yet we still owe from a capacity standpoint based on how much data is managed in our backups."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product’s pricing is expensive."
"It is good value for money."
"The solution is a bit expensive for medium-sized companies."
"When we tested the scenario for over 20 employees, the cost was much lower than the other solutions in the market."
"Acronis offers a 30-day free trial of the product."
"Acronis is cost effective and I would rate it two out of ten."
"The solution is moderately priced, where it is neither cheap nor expensive."
"The product is not that expensive, making it a product that can be considered for purchase. I rate the product's price a four on a scale of one to ten, where one is expensive and ten is cheap."
"When comparing to other solutions, the price is at par."
