I use Cisco routers and Cisco Nexus. I also use Juniper and OLTP. These are the common machines that I am using, including Cisco switches. 

From JL, it's a PC-based server. I installed MicroTik OS. As I mentioned before, my company is an Internet Service Provider. I provide Internet to end users from the server, using the MicroTik operating system installed on servers to distribute broadband Internet. 

Additionally, I use PC-based servers. It's essentially a clone computer. I collect a processor, like an Intel processor or a motherboard from another company. This customized PC is made into a server, which I use to provide broadband Internet to my end users, in homes or offices, utilizing FTTH technology. 

I use Juniper as my core router, followed by PowerEdge as a secondary router, and then switches and ONT, which stands for Optical Line Terminal. These are used to provide broadband Internet to my end customers through separate layers. Fiber optic lines connect to different buildings and offices, where I install a router device called OLEU to provide Internet to customers.

This process is very good, with a processor that has 32 cores, which is sufficient to meet my qualifications and needs. It's quite a good server, and I've been using it for the last three years. I also use different types of dynamic solutions for network design like AutoCAD and SolarWind.

Currently, I may update to 720 or 730. There are some noises, and this module is quite annoying, with significant heat issues.

I have used the solution for three years.

There are no issues with stability.

I do encounter scalability issues.

Technical support is good.

Previously, I used Cisco. It is quite old, and soon I will change the data to Juniper solutions.

I can rate the initial setup seven out of ten.

The PC is customized into a server for Internet provision to end users in various offices with different billing using FTTH technology. I have used the Dell PowerEdge VRTX for three years as an end user. I would rate my initial setup experience eight out of ten. 

I'd give the overall product rating eight out of ten.

Our company uses the solution for 15 mediums with virtual machines. 

The online UI is very good in comparison to others. 

The nodes should be synced with the server so that the solution can be used from the cloud when any or all nodes are down. 

I have been using the solution for five years. 

Sometimes, the hard disk fails. Other stability is very good so is rated an eight out of ten.

The scalability is rated a nine out of ten. 

The setup is straightforward and plug-and-play so is rated an eight out of ten. 

We used a third party for implementation. Two or three of their staff members took two to three days to implement. 

The solution does not need any ongoing maintenance. 

The solution is less expensive than competitors. 

We are planning to move from the solution to Cisco HyperFlex. 

The solution is good and fits with lower budgets. 

I rate the solution a seven out of ten. 

The solution is deployed on-premises, and we use it for a specialized application because we work in financial services. The company that onboarded this application recommended that we give it a dedicated infrastructure to get the Dell PowerEdge. So we are using it with STRATOS, the STRATOS virtualization on it.

The solution is straightforward and valuable. Dell PowerEdge VRTX is straightforward because you are aware of the number of gigs available and what needs to be done. For VxBlock, you can check your SAN and zone check. Sometimes troubleshooting is challenging on VxBlock, while with Dell PowerEdge VRTX, there are fewer points, and it is easier to troubleshoot and find your way around it.

The storage can be improved, and the ability to use UCS to manage your hosts more than using Azure Arc could be included in the next release.

We have been using this solution for approximately two years.

The solution is stable.

It is difficult to comment on the solution's scalability, but over 1,000 people are using it in our organization.

I rate customer service and support an eight out of ten.

We previously used HP. The game changer for Dell PowerEdge was the VxBlock. The VxBlock, was the idea of the cloud before cloud technology became common. With VxBlock, they introduced us to cloud virtualization before Cloud services like Azure and AWS became very popular.

The initial setup was straightforward because it was done by Dell PowerEdge Engineers that worked with us. They did the installation for all of their products, and we have active support from them.

We implemented through a vendor team, and about two to three people are required for deployment.

Licensing costs are charged yearly.

I rate the solution as six out of ten. The solution is good, but the storage can be improved.

I found myself in charge of a food and beverage company. We needed or had an opportunity for a recovery site. Although we already had a solution from IBM, we offered Dell VRTX as an alternative to compete with IBM. I have previously implemented Dell VRTX for a large company in Egypt known as Egypt Foods.

The main advantage, as I observed, was Dell VMware, which was pre-installed on the device. The VRTX included two device switches, which were connected to work redundantly with Azure. We have redundancy for the disk and networking. It also shortens the time required to manage networking and hardware compatibility.

A disadvantage could be the price.

I have used the solution for three years.

We face scalability issues because we have to scale out and scale up when we need to add more enclosures to the device. However, we do not have to buy another device or server.

I have not experienced any disadvantages when it comes to customer service. The after-sales support is remarkable. They are the biggest and the fastest in Egypt. When comparing them with other vendors, they stand out as the best due to their fixed line. When you call, you are not kept waiting or find them busy. They handle the issue in two or three minutes and quickly determine the defective part. Once the defective part is identified, it takes 24 hours for them to send it to you with a technician. You are not required to bring the device to them; they send the technician to you.

We did not face any difficulties in the initial setup. Our technical team installed it, and it is easier compared to purchasing servers and switches separately. With Dell VRTX, there is ease of connecting the network, storage, and servers, which saves time. VRTX was a very good solution.

One to two people are enough for the implementation team.

Customers choose Dell for several reasons, including after-sales support. MorphPoint is one reason based on market demand and share. Price is also a factor, and I often encourage customers due to the excellent after-sales support, which I recall as being significant.

The only concern is the price, which I also mentioned earlier. The cost needs to be reduced.

I have no issues working with any other vendor. I mentioned earlier that I have no problem selling Huawei, HPE, or HD Streaming.

The product rating, in my opinion, is between eight and nine out of ten.

I am highly satisfied with Dell PowerEdge VRTX. The customer support and installation processes are perfect, easy, and fast, providing the best experience. Regarding client usage, the solution is employed in a conversion infrastructure context. Dell PowerEdge VRTX is widely utilized for various processes.

The only aspect that could be enhanced is the pricing. Apart from that, the overall performance and features of the solution are flawless.

I would rate the installment of Dell PowerEdge VRTX around nine out of ten. The deployment guides are excellent, making it easy to set up. The documentation is perfect, and the customer service is also outstanding. The deployment of Dell PowerEdge VRTX took approximately two weeks, and it is primarily deployed on-premises. The documentation and service provided were satisfactory for a smooth implementation process.

Users are content with the performance and reliability of the servers running on the solution. They are not concerned about the underlying technology; their main priority is to keep their services online, running smoothly, and ensuring reliability at all times.

On the scale of pricing, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I would rate it as a three. I am familiar with the overall cost, which involves licenses from Dell and VMware, among others, making it a combination of various license types.

Overall, I would rate it 9 out of 10. 

PowerEdge VRTX is used to install Windows and Linux-based IT solutions. We have 50 users, including four engineers and an IT manager. 

I have used PowerEdge VRTX for six years.

I rate Dell PowerEdge nine out of 10 for stability. It isn't perfect, but it's good. From time to time, the power supply or other hardware fails on all electronics. That's why we purchase support. We contact support to replace those faulty items.

You can scale out or scale up. Scaling up is straightforward, but we don't scale out. Our PowerEdge servers are standalone.

We have contacted Dell support many times. Usually, we contact them about faulty hardware. We are satisfied. They've never violated the terms of the SLA we pay for. We have 8x5 support, so we need to pay extra for help outside of normal business hours. 

We recently deployed Dell VxRail.

You can deploy PowerEdge in under a day. If we are installing the server for a solution we provide, then we will do the deployment in-house. However, system integrators deliver some of our projects. In those scenarios, they primarily provide the software, but they will also deploy the Dell platform upon our request. 

When we buy a Dell PowerEdge server, we pay for the hardware and support. Then we buy Microsoft or Linux licenses 

I rate Dell PowerEdge VRTX nine out of 10. While I cannot say Dell is better than HP or IBM, Dell has a strong presence here in Qatar. We can recommend Dell because of that strategic factor.

We are using Dell PowerEdge VRTX to run client-server applications. It has replaced all of the servers that we had, and everything is now virtualized.

The use of Dell PowerEdge VRTX has kept our system size small saving space.

Dell PowerEdge VRTX supports a lot of memory which has allowed us to keep our system size smaller.

Dell PowerEdge VRTX can improve by providing support for M2 drives. 

By using the M2 drives it would allow the possibility of having more drives because right now the system is using SSD drives which take up considerably a lot more room. You are only allowed 24, but with the same amount of space, you could probably put 96 or 128 M2 drives. Whether that is possible, or not, I do not know, but from a space point of view, that would be something that I would consider a step forward.

I have been using Dell PowerEdge VRTX for approximately six months.

Dell PowerEdge VRTX is scalable. I have room for four blades in our system and I am only using two, it allows for growth expansion if needed in the future.

We have approximately 45 people using the solution in my organization.

The technical support is very good. They answered any question I had and gave me information if I needed it. I was pleased with their overall support.

I switched from my previous solution because I wanted to virtualize, and Dell PowerEdge VRTX allowed me to do that quite easily. It provided me with very fast access to the system because we used to use standalone servers, and now because it is virtualized everything is very quick.

The setup was fairly straightforward.

I used the support from Dell to do the implementation.

The solution price of Dell PowerEdge VRTX could be reduced. However, when comparing the price of Dell PowerEdge VRTX to other solutions, such as HP and Lenovo, it was the best price for what they offer.

I have evaluated solutions from HP and Lenovo.

I rate Dell PowerEdge VRTX a nine out of ten.

From a hardware perspective, it's interesting. The selling point of VRTX is that everything is built-in. For a small company that doesn't have a server room or the capabilities of hosting several servers, VRTX has four blades. The equivalent in regular server models would be four servers, which is a minimum of 4U, but it could easily be 8U, and then it would have storage. The storage is included inside the enclosure, and it would require a storage unit. It would also require connectivity, which would be ethernet or another protocol switch. 

From a software perspective, it's a little bit more integrated. You have an integrated way of managing the whole thing, including storage and networking. It has an internal network that can also be useful. I know for a fact that Dell is almost fazing out the product, and it is not that available anymore because it will just cannibalize their sales. They want to sell the more expensive stuff.

VRTX is a bit simplified to the extent that it is a mainstream type of solution for small businesses. If a company needs a more complex solution or something that is a time saver or has more power or scalability, it is probably not the best solution. However, when a company grows and its needs grow, this type of environment can be definitely migrated towards a lab environment or pre-prod testing, not necessarily production. It can still have a second life for the other types of use.

I have been using this solution for six months.

So far, so good. It has been pretty stable. It is a Dell solution, and Dell is solid. It hits a good sweet spot between reliability and price. Obviously, there are more expensive solutions out there, but this is a nice solution for a cost-conscious company.

If a company needs more scalability, it is probably not the best solution.

Fully configured, it costs about $50,000 or $55,000. I did purchase a used one or refurbished one. I have been very happy with it so far. Even if it is an older unit, it doesn't look like its age, and I would say it has been a great choice so far for me. Obviously, I would have thought twice if I had to pay for a brand new one because it is still an older technology with the risk of being discontinued. I talked to Dell, and they're still selling it, but they're not promoting it. They're promoting another line of products right now for hyper-converged, which are much more expensive.

VRTX is pretty much an enclosure with power, storage, and other central features. The blades evolve over time because this is a model that was available almost for the last ten years. Initially, the blades were older processors, and they have evolved but not a lot. Just the components have been updated as time passed on. It is a very good solution for a small business because it is cost-effective. It is small, and it can be configured as a tower, so you don't even need a rack, although it's not the best way to use it. It is a 4U unit, so it's not that big, and it can pack a pretty good punch for that size.

For customers who want to have the best computing power available for the least cost, I would recommend it, even today. I would recommend obviously dealing as much as possible with Dell. You can also look at the secondary market, refurbished or used market, but obviously, some companies will never go there just because it is not their policy to do it. They don't want to accept the risk. It is a good, proven solution from what I've read. I'm happy with it. It is way less expensive than other alternatives out there, but it has to be the right fit for the company. The company has to make sure that they're going to be happy with it.

This was a bit of a special project for me. It was for a company that's very cost-conscious. It is a startup. Obviously, this year has been a crazy year for everybody, so they didn't want to be too courageous. It was an opportunity to buy a unit at a very good price. The risk was minimal, and we were quite surprised at the quality and what we could do with it, given the price. It was a very interesting purchase.

I would rate Dell PowerEdge VRTX a nine out of ten.

We need to mount the app on the installation machine, which is currently located on a server in Buenos Aires, about a thousand kilometers away from Argentina. We're in the process of migrating the server and have already purchased a new server for the upgrade. Once everything is set up and ready, we'll shut down the Buenos Aires server.

Dell PowerEdge VRTX's most valuable feature is its reliability. It offers a good experience for my IT teams.

The solution's deployment is not complex. 

The tool's pricing is fine.
