Mulesoft Anypoint API Manager vs Apigee vs alternative products

Hello, community,

I'm currently working on a deck to cover the following points:

  • Why would you choose Mulesoft?
  • Is Mulesoft a good fit as a middleware for the Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) domain?
  • Mulesoft Anypoint API Manager vs Apigee
  • A comparative study: Mulesoft vs alternative products

Please assist me with your professional experience. Any inputs and/or documents are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi @Jothilakshmi C S,

It totally depends on whether you are looking for Integration Platform which can also work as API Management or you are looking for purely an all round API Management Platform.

Products like Mulesoft have their origin in Integration. However, platforms like Apigee, Layer 7, etc. are primarily API Management products.

So if you can explain more about the requirements, then I can help you sort it out.

Of those three: MuleSoft Anypoint. But, cost-friendly is another term, I would choose a different solution. We are happy with Gravitee.

Both Google Apigee and IBM API Connect offer versatile and robust API management capabilities. If managing APIs for a SaaS stack and integrating with 3rd party applications is your primary objective Apigee might prove to be a better fit, while if you are looking at enabling digital capabilities for a complex set of applications, mainframes, and other traditional components is your motive, then API Connect might have a few tricks up its sleeve.
