What is our primary use case?
We have built one of the largest laboratories in Europe within five months at Malibu Park. We do real-time vehicle tracking. We use Dell OptiPlex Desktop Computers for this purpose. We marry the real and virtual world, enabling us to see vehicles in real-time and virtually on screens.
How has it helped my organization?
We have run AI. We marry the real and virtual world. You can look at the screen in the control tower, and you look out the window and see the cars going down the circuit. You can then see the virtual cars on the screen to save that. Dell has enabled us to marry the real and virtual world through this system. We would not have been able to do it without that.
We can quickly reach our market due to their support and the right equipment. Dell has taken a personal interest in us, offering excellent support and access to upgrades. When there is an upgrade, we always have access to that straight away.
Dell is going through a transformation at the moment. We are a relatively small business, and I did not think that Dell would lean into us in the way that they have. It has been amazing.
We are building something that has not been done before, but the beauty of it was that as soon as they saw what we needed, they were in, helping us and guiding us through. We were able to see its benefits almost immediately.
What is most valuable?
The product is fantastic for our needs, and the Dell support has also been amazing. We have been very lucky with Dell recommending and supporting the right kit and allowing us, as clients, to access their top team. The CTO of EMEA Dell helped set up everything for us. We have gotten much quicker around the curve of what we needed to do. Ours is a business that is driven by intellectual property, so we have to get to the market quickly. Otherwise, no one is going to take our idea. With Dell supporting and recommending the right kit, it has been fantastic for us. It has made such a difference. Everything they have recommended has been absolutely superb.
What needs improvement?
The only improvement would be a quicker heads-up regarding developments and future improvements from Dell. They are improving all the time. I would be super interested in a quicker heads-up regarding future developments. It would help us get more out of the product if they communicated what the next-generation features would be. We appreciate their collaborative approach but would welcome even better communication on future enhancements.
For how long have I used the solution?
We started using Dell in April of this year and are still using it today.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
There have been no stability issues, such as lagging or crashing.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
It is very scalable, and that is the beauty of using Dell.
How are customer service and support?
The Dell support has been amazing. We have been supported fully, and Dell provides us access to upgrades and supports us through transformation.
I would rate them a ten out of ten. They have been great.

How was the initial setup?
Because it was a prototype, you always do things and learn as you go. There were difficult bits, but Dell helped us all the way through. We did it all from start to finish in five months.
It does not require any maintenance from our end as an end-user.
What about the implementation team?
We had multiple people involved in the deployment.
The rollout was managed by the Chief Technology Officer of EMEA, who took all the pain away from us. We did not have to worry about anything.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The pricing is very good. I firmly believe that you get what you pay for, and we have been very happy with it.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
We did look at other solutions, but we use the NVIDIA kit within the Dell solution, which was a big selling point for us.
What other advice do I have?
To new users, I would advise ensuring that they have the right Dell team working with them and that they actively engage with the Dell team.
You can go cheap, but you will get what you pay for. We have been fully supported by Dell. When you are with Dell, they will support you in anything. You are not going to go wrong. You have got the backup of a big business.
I would rate Dell a nine out of ten overall for what they provided.
