Ensures data protection and supports SAP consistency while reducing costs
Veeam Backup for Google Cloud provides significant cost reduction with NETIO Cloud's offering. It serves as a reliable solution for backup and reporting capabilities about the health of the backups. Even though I am not utilizing all tools and options, it meets my comprehensive requirements and allows backup of emails as well, making it a versatile tool.

Backup has protected our office data and now restores individual emails while admins configure settings
Although Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 is a Backup as a Service, it should give slight leverage to the admins to do more of their own configurations. When it comes to Software as a Service, we do need to agree on certain things, as we do not have much control over the software. If Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 can improve, it would be better. It could be slightly better, but it is acceptable. As long as support is provided in a timely manner, it is good. I cannot tell it is fully bad or fully good. If I were to give a rating of one to five, I might give 3.5 to four. Rather than giving a help database, which is an ocean of information to search through ourselves, we should be able to open a ticket and have them guide us on how to do it. As an end-user, different levels of admins exist—a fresh admin and a more experienced admin. They need to encourage us to open a ticket quickly, and from there they should guide us straightforwardly with the steps to follow to achieve the desired outcome.

Pros

"I recommend it to other companies due to its reliable solutions, significant cost reductions, and comprehensive functionality."
"Veeam Backup for Google Cloud provides significant cost reduction with NETIO Cloud's offering."
"I find Veeam to be a good tool for backing up Office 365 and virtual machine environments."
"Dealing with cloud solutions is simple and removes many headaches from troubleshooting and implementing the solution."
"Veeam Backup for Google Cloud’s most valuable feature is data backup and replication."
"The application backup is excellent, and using Veeam for backing up Kubernetes environments is a valuable tool."
"The most valuable features of Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 are its intuitive interface, ease of use, and unlimited capacity for backup and restore."
"The most valuable feature is the built-in integration with Office 365, which helps us protect email accounts and servers. We use it on virtual servers on the cloud with Azure, or we can use an agent on physical servers."
"The solution helps reduce our workload."
"The solution is also easy to manage and work with."
"The product is easy-to-use."
"I want an additional copy of my data in the Office cloud and it works."
"We have seen an ROI, we have been saved from incidents by this solution many times, we've avoided corruption of data, and we are not losing time thinking about how data could be protected."
"The scalability of Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 is very good."

Cons

"I do not have notes for improvements."
"The licensing could be improved, particularly by providing a 'pay-as-you-go' option through Azure, AWS, or GCP portal itself."
"Some of the prerequisites for Veeam are challenging."
"There could be a feature to take a snapshot for version backup."
"The licensing could be improved, particularly by providing a 'pay-as-you-go' option through Azure, AWS, or GCP portal itself."
"It's hard to predict the usage on the storage. I need to make some estimates for customers in terms of how much storage will be needed on the cloud, and this is always tricky."
"The product cannot back up Active Directory objects while its competitors can. Self-service power enables us to deal with service providers. We provide services for our clients, so having a multi-tenant service portal would be good."
"The pricing model is unnecessarily confusing and could be simplified."
"We use a yearly subscription. However, I believe the price could be lower."
"The initial setup is a bit complex."
"Support is quite bad. They advise too late. When we call for support, it really does take far too long for a response."
"Veeam's performance is inconsistent."
"You can't really edit. For example, if you have created a backup for a user, you can't drill down on a granular level during the backup."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The solution is affordable."
"Its price is a little bit high, but it is a fantastic solution. It is more expensive than NetApp."
"From our perspective in South Africa, our biggest challenge is the exchange rate from the South African currency to the US dollar. This makes it a bit pricey for us. However, compared to other backup solutions available, I would rate the pricing at a nine out of ten. For the servers, features, and functionality you get, it's worth the money. Of course, we'd always prefer things to be cheaper, but we also understand that you have to pay for proper functionality. So overall, it's not badly priced at all."
"Veaam Backup is licensed per mailbox, which customers like because it's per user and so they don't have to pay for shared mailboxes."
"I'm not sure about the price, but I think it could be lower."
"The cost of Veeam Backup is $28 per user for one year."
"The solution is not expensive."
"It is not the cheapest solution in the market."
"Its cost is pretty high. I would rate it a three out of five in terms of pricing."
