Centralized device management has automated onboarding and improves remote security compliance
One thing I feel Microsoft Intune could improve is troubleshooting visibility. In many cases, when a policy or application deployment fails, the error messages are a bit generic. So, admins still spend time checking logs manually or testing on devices one by one. Compared to the simplicity of deployment, troubleshooting sometimes feels less mature. I also think reporting and real-time monitoring could be stronger. The dashboard gives useful information, but in large environments, many teams still depend on additional tools or scripts for deeper reporting and analytics. If I had to focus on one area first, I would probably choose troubleshooting and reporting. Deployment through Microsoft Intune is generally straightforward, but when something fails, identifying the exact root cause can still take more time than expected. Error messages are sometimes too generic, and admins often have to dig through logs, sync status, or multiple portals to understand what actually happened. I think user experience and policy management could also improve further. Microsoft Intune has become much better over the years, but sometimes the admin portal still feels fragmented because certain configurations open in different sections or redirect to older interfaces. For new admins, especially, it can take time to understand where everything is located. Another thing is policy conflict handling. In larger organizations, multiple device policies, compliance rules, and configuration profiles can overlap. When conflicts happen, the visibility is not always very clear, so admins spend time figuring out which policy actually won or caused the issue.

Journey orchestration has improved fraud prevention but still needs shared rules and better usability
The main improvement needed is that with the tool, you have to build rules for each and every application. There is no common place where you can write the rules and use that rule for all your applications, which is missing. This is a big feature that is missing compared to the other products in the market. Additionally, the SDKs, Journey Player, and other components are not business-friendly, so you really have to be technical to get into it and do those things. A non-technical person would find it really hard to implement and learn things inside Transmit Security. Even though it requires less coding, you still have to have some technical people in your team to really write the rules and integrate those rules into your application.

Effective product tracking and monitoring enhances daily operations despite needing documentation improvement
The documentation part of Workspace ONE UEM can be confusing. The documentation is not comprehensive compared to other VMware solutions or Microsoft documentation. Most people struggle to connect the dots when looking at the documentation. Even the training material and PowerPoint slide decks that trainers use are sometimes too confusing or overwhelming, with too much content but not enough clarity. The support side has recently become weaker compared to what it used to be with VMware. This is another area that needs improvement. Since working with Workspace ONE UEM from when it was AirWatch, it has improved significantly over the last five years. However, there are still some gray areas and scope for improvement, especially in documentation and workflow between different aspects of the solution.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It's not working perfectly, but Microsoft's Autopilot offers great visibility into automated deployment solutions."
"There are no complaints about the stability. It works one hundred percent of the time."
"Microsoft Intune policies, remote wipe, and using corporate and private profiles are valuable features, but MFA is the most valuable feature as it ensures that the end user is authentic."
"The most valuable feature of Microsoft Intune is patching-related capabilities."
"The initial setup is easy."
"We have not had any issues with the scalability."
"Microsoft Intune is easy to use, and it is able to enforce policies towards multiple devices. It is able to bring multiple classes of devices into the same security posture. I found that very useful."
"There has been a noticeable increase in productivity for both my organization and clients."
"Transmit Security has played a major role for our organization, especially in the authentication areas."
"Transmit Security has positively impacted my organization by improving the development of workflows in order to help the user experience."
"Transmit Security has impacted my organization positively because it is reassuring to know that we are building on top of a trusted tool, and we do not rely on developers that could make mistakes, and because it is an authentication platform, that could be detrimental."
"Transmit interface is flexible and user-friendly, which is important for our workload. Switching from one authentication code to multiple exposure or two-factor authentication (MFA) is seamless."
"The most valuable feature is the security policies."
"From a pricing perspective the VMware offering looks interesting I have to say."
"VMware is the better solution versus other things that are out there."
"I would recommend this solution because it's simple for end-users."
"Customer Service: Excellent customer service. Technical Support: Excellent technical support."
"The solution is stable."
"The product offers integration capabilities with third-party solutions."
"Workspace ONE adds a lot of value compared to Microsoft because Microsoft is a late entry into the market, and they're still developing their product from an end-user perspective. Workspace ONE has a slight edge because of AirWatch. VMware has developed its product over a longer period of time, so they have better integrations as a whole solution."

Cons

"Intune could be enhanced by automating application upgrades, similar to how it automates operating system upgrades."
"My main pain point for Microsoft Intune is the contact part. Not all Android or iOS applications have access to integration, for example, contacts."
"Microsoft Intune needs to improve the initial login process."
"The way the apps are getting deployed, the checkboxes for deleting previous versions are actually creating more conflicts than fixing problems."
"Microsoft Intune can be improved in terms of reporting, customization, troubleshooting visibility, and policy deployment speed in large environments; some advanced configurations can also be complex during initial setup and management."
"Microsoft Intune is not user-friendly to manage and has room for improvement."
"Microsoft Intune has potential for improvement; I would like to see a lot more customization in the reporting tools."
"A detailed device diagnostic feature is missing. Also, operating system deployment and imaging are missing."
"The scalability of Transmit Security is a little bit tricky. It is not easy to scale and depends on the complexity of my workflows and how many users I am going to support."
"The main improvement needed is that with the tool, you have to build rules for each and every application."
"Pricing is an area where Transmit Security could improve. The pricing needs to be more competitive."
"The customer support varies, but overall, we are satisfied."
"We'd like the customization to be better."
"We have experienced some connectivity issues in that the application in VMware is very slow compared to SecureX."
"One thing VMware needs to improve is compatibility with different operating systems."
"Cost of licensing is quite high."
"We'd like more useful support."
"I'd like to see more integration capabilities in future releases."
"This product makes use of SAML across the board, which has seven known security flaws. It would be good if the company created a way to protect against SAML flaws. One way would be to integrate a firewall server or an endpoint out in the cloud with which you could establish trust. If you knew nothing about SAML and you did some Google searches about what SAML is, what are the flaws, and what are the known vulnerabilities, eventually, you'll find that there are seven flaws. There are two methods that you can use to solve those seven problems. They essentially involve putting a firewall or putting rules, such as access controls, so that anybody in the world can't just come in, authenticate, and either be a good guy or be someone trying to knock on my door and get into my house. If I could eliminate that, it would be awesome."
"They do have a good integration, but there is a long way to go as far as integration is concerned. They need to integrate with the cloud solutions a little bit more. We are looking for Azure integration."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We don't get Intune as a separate module. Most of the time, we use it within an enterprise agreement like E3 or E5. Those licenses are at a good price, but what is annoying is that every single year they go higher."
"I have no comment on pricing of the solution."
"For organizations that are a Microsoft shop, the pricing is compelling."
"There is a license needed to use the solution and we are on an annual license."
"The price for Intune is fair."
"Intune is available as an individual product, but it also comes with Office 365 Premium or an Enterprise license, and the price varies for each version."
"The pricing is competitive, but it is not cheap."
"It is reasonable for the features it has."
Information not available
"VMware Workspace ONE is not cheap; it's quite expensive. However, in the end, they gave us a reasonable price."
"Our organization has stopped using the solution because it was expensive."
"The pricing and licensing are affordable. They are not too high."
"The solution is more expensive than Intune."
"There is a licensing fee for the users, and we pay a low amount for our support costs."
"It's a highly affordable solution"
"For big users, it's around $500."
"We pay approximately thirty to thirty-five euros per device per month for the complete suite, and this is a fixed cost with one, three, or five-year licensing in advance. I would rate the pricing a four out of ten, making it affordable."
