It provides a very rich feature set in the application.""I like the way that you can use the context variables, and how you can work those context variables to give you values and settings for every development environment, such as PROD, TEST, and DEV.""We can develop our own code if we do not see the functionality we need.""The most valuable feature is the data loading and scripting language""The most valuable feature is integration.""The most valuable features of the Talend Data Management Platform are the components.""Talend Studio has the ability to connect to almost anything to integrate data from files, databases, web services, etc.""I think Talend is one of the easiest tools for faster implementation compared to other tools."

"The most valuable feature of Zapier is it saves me time doing repetitive tasks.""The connection between Facebook lead forms and MailChimp integrations is the most valuable feature.""The product's initial setup phase was very easy.""Zapier is a really good tool for connecting multiple different platforms and data sources. For example, with Quickbase, I can easily integrate data from other sources like AWS or task-tracking platforms such as ClickUp or Asana.""Zapier's interface, for me, is the solution's greatest value proposition. It is designed and developed for people who don't have a clue about what they're trying to do. It has a very user-friendly interface.""What's most valuable in Zapier is its simplicity, seamlessness, and smooth plug-in, so you won't need to build code for every action. I'm not a developer, but I can use Zapier.""The product's most valuable feature is automation.""We can connect Zapier with Zoho CRM for lead generation. I like the tool's drag and drop feature."

Cons
"They lack in memory capacity.""I've had some issues with bugs causing crashes, especially when making changes to the system or with the monthly upgrades to Studio they've introduced.""We'd like to see more connectors it the future.""The stability is good, but the performance is slower when I work on a huge amount of data.""The sales and market department could improve the Talend Data Management Platform.""The solution's memory sometimes bottlenecks and that can be challenging.""I think they should drive toward AI and machine learning. They could include a machine-learning algorithm for the deduplication.""Including either XML or JSON in the next release would definitely be a good transformation. I'm not sure if Talend has that feature, but it's one of those requirements that we are working around and have to do some parsing of XML so this could make it easier."

More Talend Data Management Platform Cons →

"The pricing of the solution is quite expensive.""It is not worth the money if you have a little bit of a technical mind...Zapier is not able to set up different modules. When automation doesn't work, it's not that easy to find why it didn't work.""Some recent changes to the solution have made it bulky and not as intuitive to use as it previously was.""It could support various languages along with Python.""Zapier needs more YouTube or video tutorials or more training for people. That would help a lot. In particular, Zapier should have documentation for every connector. Its documentation needs to be more detailed and visual.""I think that this solution should have more apps connected to it.""With Zapier, improvements are required in the areas of concerns like bugs, ease of use, and documentation.""The user interface for Zapier could be improved. It also takes some time to sync the data between different environments."

Pricing and Cost Advice

  • "The solution's pricing is very reasonable and half the cost of Informatica."
  • "The licensing cost is about 40,000 Euros a year."
  • "The price of the Talend Data Management Platform is reasonable. The other competing solutions are priced high. Gartner Magic Quadrant identified other solutions, such as Informatica, that are far more expensive."

  • "There is a free plan that is, of course, limited. However, it allows you to understand and check true scenarios for a while."
  • "Think your Zaps through to make sure you don't use more Zaps than you need."
  • "It's very straightforward licensing. There's only one cost you have to pay, and if you want a relevant pricing plan, I think you have two or three different models or packages which include the number of notifications or Zaps, as they call it, that you can program."
  • "The price of Zapier is approximately $75 monthly."
  • "Zapier is a paid service. Its license renews monthly, and Zapier will downgrade your subscription to the free version when your credit card doesn't have funds. That significantly impacts your service because everything halts completely. Zapier doesn't have any hidden costs."
  • "Per task, there is a monthly plan involving 15 euros...Also, in different forms, they just give you the ability to use different features. They charge 18.58 euros for the first standard plan, which includes 750 tasks. So, it is about 25 cents per task."
  • "It's very affordable."
  • "The least expensive plan is $24 a month, and you can go all the way to $800 a month if you're a huge company using many tasks."

    Overview
Talend offers robust data integration in an open and scalable architecture to maximize its value to your business. Simple, graphical tools and wizards get you up and running quickly with native code generation that streamlines development.

Zapier is a tool for primarily non-technical users to connect together web apps.

An integration between two apps is called a Zap. A Zap is made up of a Trigger and one or more Actions or Searches.

Whenever the trigger happens in one app, Zapier will automatically perform the actions or searches in another app in order.

Zaps are very lightweight and easy to set up. Zaps do not import or export old data (they only operate on new items created after the Zap is enabled). Zaps are also not kept in sync ("two way syncing") after the Zap is triggered.

Zaps are deceivingly simple if you're used to dealing with complex and difficult integrations. Their simplicity is what enables anyone to create them.
