Flexible and granular security options, good filtering, and the pricing model is cost-effective
The vendor does a really poor job of marketing this software because it should be more popular. This is something that I have pointed out to them. It's a super piece of software, but very few people are aware of it. I am an EX-IT director and I've worked in big systems, and I'm amazed this solution isn't more popular. The "native" integration with other products could be improved. The user interface for the systems that you build can use some improvement because as it is now, you may have to use HTML and CSS to make it look more modern or to match a clients existing look. The documentation is amazing, although they don't do videos and their YouTube channel is very poor. They could create some training videos.

Automation has transformed project and inventory workflows and improves revenue forecasting
The best features QuickBase offers include being a no-code software, meaning it is very easy to use even for new users. It also provides life cycle management, workflow management, and dashboards. The dashboards and workflow management help my team significantly, as they have a drag-and-drop interface and prebuilt templates, which play a pivotal role in creating custom applications. Those features also help provide the ability to manage the entire application life cycle with QuickBase easily. Integration has been very seamless with our overall IT stack. The user interface is very user-friendly and intuitive, which makes it very easy to use, together with the no-code aspect. Any kind of personnel can use this tool easily.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The security is the most valuable feature, in particular, the way I can give different access to different areas to different people, so you can really fine-tune access for different users."
"QuickBase has positively impacted my organization, with a huge ROI where our company saved over 3.8 million in one year alone based on developments that year in QuickBase that saved time for many teams."
"I run my own business and the solution allows me to invoice and pay for additional resources. It has helped me in terms of invoicing, quoting, and doing recruitment measures."
"It is low-code. We are able to go in and create apps quickly. It is very helpful for the size of our company. We're a mid-size company, and at this moment, we don't need anything externally. We don't have to go out and consult a consulting firm to build something from the ground up. So, the ease of that and being able to get development quickly up and running has been good for us."
"QuickBase reminds me when a software license or a hardware support contract is near expiration so that I can initiate our company's procurement process in time and not miss a deadline."
"The product is easy to use."
"It has helped streamline and simply track status and collection of data from suppliers and other internal departments."
"QuickBase has positively impacted my organization by improving workflows through automation, and I have noticed time saved, fewer errors, and other improvements as specific outcomes or metrics."
"QuickBase is an excellent product and it is very easy to get support."

Cons

"The user interface for the systems that you build can use some improvement because as it is now, you have to do a lot of HTML and CSS to make it look modern."
"Third-party integration -- they are working on it and I find their brand-new still-in-beta Webhooks very promising."
"It would be beneficial for the QuickBase team to focus on improving the integration of cloud-based storage platforms within their product. In use cases like ours, where QuickBase serves as a centralized source of truth for construction projects, having seamless integration with platforms like Dropbox or OneDrive would greatly enhance the product's capabilities."
"Unfortunately, there is still no new report formatting available natively, and would still require 3rd party developers to help with that. ."
"I would like to see better options for producing paper reports from Quick Base, rather than viewing things exclusively on screen."
"I would like to see the reporting enhanced because some of them are not easy to generate."
"The table size limits are small for really large apps."
"They could enhance the ability to link records between tables directly without the need for additional automation to increase space and time."
"There is room for improvement in terms of user-friendliness."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"This product has really good value, as it doesn't have a per-user cost, there's a flat fee."
"The product is cheap when compared to other products."
"We felt the pricing and licensing for QuickBase were easy enough to understand, fair and competitive."
"You have to negotiate the price because it varies based on the number of users you have, as well as how much cloud storage space you need."
"The pricing for the tier my company used included ten seats and the subcontractor, amounting to approximately $18,000 USD per year."
"It is probably about 300 per license per person. There is just the licensing cost. There are no additional costs."
"Quickbase is probably not the cheapest app out there. That said, it is worth its weight in gold. There is no other app that I know of in the market today that can do what Quickbase does."
"The solution is expensive and geared toward enterprise-level clients."
"The pricing for QuickBase is pretty straightforward, It is based on a per user/per month licensing fee."

What do you like most about QuickBase?
The most valuable feature of QuickBase is its dynamic form capabilities. These forms allow backend automation, making tasks like updating data based on specific conditions much easier.
What is your experience regarding pricing and costs for QuickBase?
I did not have any involvement with pricing, setup cost, or licensing.
What needs improvement with QuickBase?
The table size limits are small for really large apps. While I agree that there needs to be a cap on the size, it would be nice to adjust it up when needed. Also, the cost can be a bit prohibitive,...
