Flexible modeling capabilities have optimized resource allocation and collaboration tools aid communication
Some of the best features with the Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud perform better than OneStream. The flexible modeling capabilities of the Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud have helped with optimizing resource allocation. The built-in collaboration tools with the Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud have aided communication among me and my clients as well as the clients and stakeholders. The advanced analytics within the Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud helps with the performance insights on some of these clients.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It has given us the ability to not only deliver key reports and metrics, but also to make them available on a self service basis."
"This is a perfect, secure, safe and fast product."
"You can get the data directly from the database with Excel formulas."
"Budgeting and consolidation are the most valuable features in Infor dEPM, and the budgeting process and consolidation features prove very valuable when businesses work with the system."
"All our customers have experienced a return on investment, as they have been included on the list of calls."
"I do not need to have my own tools; I only need to customize many elements."
"It was useful for consolidating data from subsidiaries and having global reports."
"The robustness of the Infocubes, and the possibility of integrating both strong data analysis characteristics with pleasant aesthetic features."
"They provide tools certified to work on-site, in the cloud, or in a hybrid scenario, and this flexibility is valuable for various business sizes."
"We're were amazed at the ease Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud was to implement and how good the design was."
"We have labor queues and workforce planning as well as our complete budget and focus for different business areas in the company, and it is adding so much value."
"Planning is the most stable and solid tool available in the market."
"The most valuable features are the Planning forums, the ability to do all sorts of translation, and the ability to move data about with relative ease if the coding isn't too difficult."
"The solution automates the planning processes and does it in real-time."
"We previously used Oracle EDS, and when comparing it to this solution, this solution has a much better interface. There are lots of advantages of the new solutions. Having it on the cloud, we are able to forget about keeping them updated or taking care of the database. We have minimal maintenance."
"The most valuable feature is the data integration in Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud."

Cons

"The bigger the database with accelerators the more unstable it is, but without accelerators the model would not run."
"However, I found it buggy, clunky, and very stiff."
"The latest version has been cloud-enabled, but it requires a deeper understanding of programming skills compared to the previous versions, which were more user-friendly."
"A web-based version would provide greater usability and I believe is still in the development pipeline."
"The initial setup from a user perspective can be cumbersome and has room for improvement."
"Flexibility to modify an existing Infocube, and better integration with other ETL tools on the market."
"From my perspective, I think Infor dEPM is a good solution for clients who want to deep dive into data analysis in finance, but it may be complicated."
"The mobile offering and dashboards need work, however this has been improved upon in more recent versions of Infor BI."
"One potential improvement would be a more visual workflow, as the current method using a tax list is not as effective."
"The business rules behind the forms need improvement, and the total processing time should be enhanced with the help of proper commands, specifically regarding the execution time of existing rules."
"The FR recording studio that is used to build reports is clunky and awful to use. This could be improved a lot. The solution does have problems and limitations."
"The tool has its flaws but most of time (99%), it is the implementer's fault that you have a bad or slow model."
"There are some issues with block creation in the memory. Sometimes, when we run a calculation and a new intersection is hit during the calculation, the memory block doesn't get created, which doesn't give the correct result."
"For HR, the workforce planning out of the box is complicated. For most users, it's not easy, and it requires a learning curve. It's not very user-friendly. It can be improved."
"The support at Oracle is just terrible."
"But there are some limitations. For example, the Attributes feature doesn't do cross-tab reporting based on KPI."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"While the licensing cost of Infor dEPM may be costly, it is still more affordable than SAP BusinessObjects EPM, for example."
"The pricing is competitive."
"It's a very expensive product, and I would rate it at nine out of ten, with ten being the most expensive. There are yearly licensing costs."
"The solution is free."
"There is an annual subscription for this solution and it is priced high."
"The price of Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud is expensive. However, it solves a lot of issues at the company. Having a better price could make us think about using more cloud products for Oracle and increase usage."
"It is expensive."
