Identity analytics have strengthened security and automated role-based access for our workforce
Omada Identity provides 80% of functionality out of the box with standard features without requiring any special configuration. There are many templates available, so you can get up and running pretty fast. Omada Identity's identity analytics helped reduce the cost of my IGA program. This has affected my organization's security since I am also in the same department as the security team, so we are very focused on that. Especially if someone is having a case with fraud or supposed fraud, we can click the log out feature and then all accounts will be disabled immediately or at least within a few minutes. I am sure that has helped the security level.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Lifecycle management, governance and documentation."
"I would rate the price eight out of 10, with 10 as the best value for money."
"This solution has a very good dashboard and the documentation is also very good, and life cycle management and governance are also good features in this solution."
"We use the product to ensure organizations conform to industry base certifications and best practices and do not contradict their security policies within the base points they specify in the system, which are used to match everything against their governance use cases."
"Omada offers a technical solution that addresses both our needs."
"Omada Identity has helped us consolidate solutions for access management as they provide access request concepts, access reviews, and different types of access reviews that can be used."
"The most valuable aspect of the product is that it is Microsoft-based and it supports all Microsoft technology."
"From my perspective, the IGA features cover everything and are quite broad."
"The key benefit of Omada Identity is maintaining complete control."
"User-friendly solution."
"It has a lot of out-of-the-box features, it is flexible with many possibilities to configure and extend it, and it is user-friendly with an interface that is end-user or business-user friendly."
"The identity governance and administration features are also really good in Omada."

Cons

"The solution is a bit pricey for some regions."
"I think improvements could be made in the self service center, making it easier for the user to understand."
"The solution is also a bit pricey for the Nigeria region."
"Self service center is not always easy to understand."
"I would like to see some additional functionality and improvements in usability."
"Improved traceability would be helpful for administrators. For example, let's say a user's permission is being revoked. We can only see the system that has carried out a particular action but not what triggered it. If an event definition or something has changed in the criteria for the permission being removed or something like that, we don't have immediate access to that information. It takes a little detective work."
"I would like more training. As someone who is new to this world, I don't feel that the courses Omada provides are good enough. They should also improve the documentation. It is difficult to learn how to use the solution by yourself"
"The account management integration isn't bad, but it isn't plug-and-play like Microsoft Azure. You need some deep development knowledge to set up the connectors."
"The backend is pretty good but the self-service request access screen, the GUI, needs improvement. It's an old-fashioned screen. Also, Omada has reports, but I wouldn't dare show them to the business because they look like they're from 1995. I know they are working on these things and that’s good, because they’re really needed."
"Documentation can be improved. I have already filed a few suggestions to make documentation more clear and more representative of reality."
"We are trying to use Omada's standards and to adapt our processes. But we have had some trouble with the bad documentation. This is something that they could improve on. It has not been possible for us to analyze some of the problems so far, based on the documentation. We always need consultants. The documentation should include some implementation hints and some guidelines for implementing the processes."
"The architecture of the entire system should also be less complex. The way they process the data is complex."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I would rate the price eight out of 10, with 10 as the best value for money."
"My client deals directly with the Omada Identity team in terms of licensing. I never look at pricing, so I'm not aware of how much the solution costs, but it's worth the money. Often, when you begin to use Omada Identity and it takes a while to set up, it'll be irreversible, and you'd depend on and focus more on the functionality of the solution, rather than its price tag."
"Omada is too expensive. We are in the automotive industry. The pricing might be high because most of the other customers are in the insurance or banking sectors, but it's steep for an auto supply company."
"It's a fair price for the on-premises system. Compared with what we had before, it's much cheaper and we get all the modules in one. We tried to go with the cloud, but it was far too expensive."
"Omada is expensive."
"They are positioned at a good price point. They are lower than some of their competitors."
"It is licensed per managed user per year."
"The initial total cost of ownership to implement Omada Identity is not small. The TCO for the implementation is as high as any other solution. However, the cost of maintaining the solution is at par or lower than competitors, including adding more features or maintaining the system after the initial deployment or installation to make sure that they are available for users to use or extending the functionalities of those activities. Those maintenance costs are lower than other vendors, but the initial cost of getting the system installed is still high."
"While Omada Identity carries a premium price tag, it proves to be cost-effective."
