We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"I think it scales really well and as long as you take enough time to learn a little bit about it, it works really well.""Some of the best features are stored procedures, parallelism, and different indexing strategies.""It can be mounted on the cloud, which is a huge plus. If the client, for example, starts small with on-premise deployment and then it rapidly needs to grow, we can transfer this to the cloud easily.""The analytics engine is not bad at forecasting predictions.""Provides good security and reliability.""The standout feature of IBM Db2 Warehouse, which is particularly valuable for large enterprises, is its ability to handle big data."

"The most valuable feature is performance gains.""We have found that it is easy to develop and to do the analytics in the modules of data.""We've had a good experience with technical support in general.""The most valuable feature is the level of processing power, and being able to complete tasks in parallel.""The solution's scalability is very, very good. It's one of the most important aspects for us.""The initial setup was really easy and straightforward.""The features we've found most valuable for data warehouses is extracting data, SSIS packages, and the DBs.""I think the most valuable component is that pipelines are built into it and then the feature that you can mirror a cosmos BB for analytics."

Cons
"The biggest problems we have is when the backup solution is failing or slow and we run out of log space, which has happened probably a couple of times in the last four years.""IBM Db2 Warehouse needs to improve its interface.""The areas of the solution that is needing the most improvement are separating compute from storage, elasticity, which means scaling up and then retracting.""Lacks sufficient documentation and particularly in Spanish.""The biggest challenge anyone could have with Db2 Warehouse is their references or online resources and documentation. They are very, very, very limited on the web.""There should be more material available for training and training should be free.""In terms of improvement, IBM Db2 Warehouse should be more scalable."

More IBM Db2 Warehouse Cons →

"It would be ideal if the solution could be better used intuitively by the staff without having a great deal of training.""Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics's pricing could be reduced.""The initial setup is complex.""Microsoft should develop an interface to make it easier to shift from on-premise to the cloud.""Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics can improve by adding more flexibility to the reports. Having more visible structures based on the area, region and country would be beneficial.""Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics could improve in usability. I have found the same issue with all Microsoft solutions.""An area for improvement in Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics is its user interface. You can use it for analytical purposes, but its platform should be a little bit more user-friendly. Another small point for improvement in Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics is its stability. It's good currently, but it could still be improved. Microsoft is combining different tools and technologies into one solution, so in the future, I'm expecting to see even more improvement in Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics. An additional feature I'd like to see in the next version of Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics is the drag-and-drop feature. If you're doing some integrations where you can write Scala or you have SPARK programming or SQL, or you're combining different programming, the process should be seamless, and you should be able to drag and drop in Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics. When doing reporting in the solution, you should also be able to drag and drop. There should be connectors available and a drag-and-drop feature available in the user interface of Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics, so you won't have to worry about how all processes would work together. You need to be able to drag and drop even from the backend, and having this feature will make the solution more user-friendly.""Indicating what areas need improvement in this solution is a difficult question because the organizations that I am working for are really new in this area. However, an even better more simple interface, or perhaps an extension of a connector app store solution, would be helpful."
