An excellent application with a strong use case
It is very intuitive and has improved significantly over the last seven years. Its deployment is very enterprise-focused, and I hope it will eventually become cloud-based for easier connection through AWS or similar services. Faced deployment delays and daily errors but have streamlined access reviews and improved termination processes
The deployment of Omada Identity is complex; the product is not brilliantly documented, and it lacks the same level of documentation that could be found for systems such as SailPoint or Saviynt, making it harder to find material or help online, particularly with Omada Cloud. The system performance of Omada Identity is inconsistent; we've been analyzing this issue together with Omada, but we haven't been able to resolve whether the problem lies on their side or my client's side, which causes long response times and long run times in Omada sometimes. Omada Identity does not help deploy IGA within 12 weeks; the time frame for applying the rapid deployment solution was much longer than expected, and I am unsure if it is built on best practices across all systems. When we receive an error or system message from Omada Identity, it's very hard to decode what it means; we have had serious issues in daily imports that we can't explain, indicating a need for improved stability. The comprehensiveness of out-of-the-box connectors that Omada provides differs; the connectors for Microsoft and Salesforce are good, but for SAP, they are basically non-existent.

Pros

"It allows for self-service which means quicker turnaround for end-user support."
"It is very intuitive and has improved significantly over the last seven years. Its deployment is very enterprise-focused, and I hope it will eventually become cloud-based for easier connection through AWS or similar services. Currently, it's an excellent application with a strong use case."
"The most valuable feature for us is the ability to set up connectors to various IT systems and offer a wide range of supported connectors."
"I'm not using Omada, but the interface is easy to use and gives you a solid overview of your identities."
"The most valuable feature is the automatic provisioning and reconciliation of things like the Active Directory groups and memberships."
"Technically, the product does everything one would expect from an identity and access management platform. The product offers robust handling of Active Directory resources."
"Our customers have benefited from Omada Identity automating the certification process."
"Two valuable features of Omada Identity are the ability to discover accounts and link them to identities, and the automatic disabling of inactive accounts or identities."
"The teams we work with at Omada provide great insights and support. Overall, it has been a pleasure working with them. That's the part we value the most."
"We are able to onboard new user accounts much faster by automating the process and standardizing our operations globally, and we also see a lot of cost savings and benefits because of automation and standardization, which decreases the work for admins while boosting user productivity."

Cons

"Perhaps it is the way my organization has it set up but I would like to add people to more than one group at a time."
"I would like to see EmpowerID move to the cloud to facilitate easier deployment and connectivity through AWS or similar services."
"The Omada Identity SaaS version doesn't provide all the features Omada Identity on-premise provides."
"The comprehensiveness of Omada's out-of-the-box connectors for the applications we use could be better. We are getting a new HR system called Cornerstone for which they do not have an out-of-the-box connector, so we have to take the REST connector and play around with it."
"Omada Identity is definitely not better than both Saviynt or SailPoint, so we are struggling and having issues with everything."
"When the recertification process is launched that makes Omada very slow. There are performance issues in the current version."
"Its flexibility is both a good thing and a bad thing. Because it is very flexible, it also becomes too complex. This is common for most of the products we evaluated. Its scalability should be better. It had a few scalability issues."
"I would like to see them expand the functionality of the tool to continue to be competitive with the monsters out there."
"Its flexibility is both a good thing and a bad thing. Because it is very flexible, it also becomes too complex."
"I am not working with the product, but they have this BI tool for role-based mining, and I think that should be included in the core product rather than an add-on."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"Omada Identity is competitively priced and delivers good value for our money."
"The pricing is too high for SMBs."
"From an on-prem point of view, the cost is quite transparent and reasonable. The direct cost is primarily for licenses and maintenance on licenses."
"The pricing for Omada Identity is fair."
"Omada Identity offers a reasonable price point, but it will increase as we transition to the cloud."
"It's a fair price for the on-premises system. Compared with what we had before, it's much cheaper and we get all the modules in one. We tried to go with the cloud, but it was far too expensive."
"It is not cheap. None of these solutions are cheap, but we have good pricing at least for now from a licensing perspective."
"It is fairly priced for an on-premise environment, but for the cloud environment, I am not that happy with the pricing."
