Cost has remained low while implementation proceeds without complications
To capture the critical traffic to prioritize is not something I work with in advanced QoS features. Regarding VLAN support in bandwidth management, we are not utilizing VLAN for the infrastructure as we have a minimal requirement for VLAN, so we have not yet implemented any of the features relevant to the virtual LANs. It's very hard to answer the question about minor improvements D-Link Ethernet Switches could do with their products because the products I'm dealing with are just plug-and-play, unmanaged switches. It would be more appropriate to comment on features if I had been using Layer 2 or Layer 3 switches for at least a couple of months. I don't think there are any disadvantages I can point out for the product.

"The overall solution is best for any low-cost environment because of its cost-effectiveness."
"D-Link DGS-1100 is a very useful gigabit Ethernet switch for small and medium sized businesses which can transfer data at high speeds and offers a lot of useful features."
"This is a product that I would recommend without any reservation."
"D-Link Ethernet Switches are state of the art networking devices that can solve critical networking related issues like VLAN segregation, enhancing security through ACL, configuring trunk ports, RIP, etc."
"I have no complaints about the stability or reliability of D-Link Ethernet Switches."
"The main selling point for me was the pricing. Moreover, the performance is good. I haven't had any issues so far."
"It is very stable and reliable."
"The most valuable feature of Huawei Ethernet Switches is the power ethernet which allows you to generate hubs to 10 Gbps data on the ethernet cable."
"The most valuable feature is the audit systems. I also like that it can synchronize on the alternate configuration of products together at the same time."
"The solution is easy to set up."
"I use it on a daily basis and I find it to be quite stable."
"What I like about Huawei is that it has a very fast response to troubleshooting problems and regulates reports with very great production."
"Scalability is quite good."
"This product is competitive technically with the best products in the class."
"The solution is very inexpensive, the documentation is very good, and technical support is also very good."

Cons

"D-Link Ethernet Switches' switching capacity is low. The solution should improve stability and not support Cisco or Juniper networks."
"The cost is a little bit higher than other switches."
"They could be more stable. They were not as resistant as Cisco. After some time, some of them failed. This could be because we import quite a lot of products from different horizons, so there is no guarantee of quality. In Africa, these products don't always directly come from the manufacturer. We get these products from the Middle East or Asia. Therefore, you cannot be sure that the quality is exactly similar to what you have in Europe or America."
"The solution's web filtering feature could be improved."
"They could be more stable. They were not as resistant as Cisco."
"I'd like to see a central management system included as part of their license, not as a separate purchase. Currently, we have to manage switches independently. A central portal for managing all switches and providing visibility would be great."
"For high-end switches, the price could be 5% to 10% cheaper. Improvements in the voltage facility, like increasing from 360 watts to 400 or 450 watts, would make them more competitive with other vendors."
"We plan to switch from D-Link Ethernet Switch to Cisco products, as we do have issues with its stability."
"The technical support is a bit difficult to work with if you don't speak Mandarin."
"There could be some improvement in the dashboards and that's something that could be included in the next update."
"The pricing could always be improved."
"Integration could be improved. The price could also be lower."
"The solution needs to be more user-friendly."
"The availability and the speed of the firmware updates are the only things wrong with Huawei. There are some vulnerabilities on the hardware."
"We had a few issues with integration."
"Huawei Ethernet Switches are scalable but can be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price of D-Link Ethernet Switches is in the 4,000 to 5,000 rupees or 65 to 100 USD range. The price of the solution is not expensive."
"D-Link Ethernet Switches' price is good."
"There is not a license required for this solution and it is priced well."
"It has a good return on investment. It has indeed saved us resources significantly."

"The price is one of the only issues I have regarding this solution."
"The tool's price is affordable and I would rate it a five out of ten. The prices are fixed with no additional cost involved."
