Cost has remained low while implementation proceeds without complications
To capture the critical traffic to prioritize is not something I work with in advanced QoS features. Regarding VLAN support in bandwidth management, we are not utilizing VLAN for the infrastructure as we have a minimal requirement for VLAN, so we have not yet implemented any of the features relevant to the virtual LANs. It's very hard to answer the question about minor improvements D-Link Ethernet Switches could do with their products because the products I'm dealing with are just plug-and-play, unmanaged switches. It would be more appropriate to comment on features if I had been using Layer 2 or Layer 3 switches for at least a couple of months. I don't think there are any disadvantages I can point out for the product.

"These switches are simple and easy to configure."
"The main selling point for me was the pricing. Moreover, the performance is good. I haven't had any issues so far."
"This product is very affordable, especially compared to Cisco."
"The initial setup is straightforward."
"It is very stable and reliable."
"D-Link DGS-1100 is a very useful gigabit Ethernet switch for small and medium sized businesses which can transfer data at high speeds and offers a lot of useful features."
"D-Link Ethernet Switches have assisted us in numerous ways, particularly with security implementations through firewalls and integrations, and there have been no security breaches or network disturbances for the past one and a half years."
"The most valuable feature of Huawei Ethernet Switches is the power ethernet which allows you to generate hubs to 10 Gbps data on the ethernet cable."
"The technical documentation available is very good. The technical support for the customer is also good - I would give it 8 out of 10."
"It is pretty straightforward to set up."
"The functionality is basically the same as Cisco."
"The initial setup of the solution was easy, it took 20 to 25 minutes."
"What we like the most is that the price is reasonable and it's easy to manage."
"Huawei Ethernet switches have a price advantage over other solutions; you can buy about four Huawei switches for the price of one Cisco switch."
"We use Huawei Ethernet Switches for business networks and connectivity."

Cons

"For high-end switches, the price could be 5% to 10% cheaper. Improvements in the voltage facility, like increasing from 360 watts to 400 or 450 watts, would make them more competitive with other vendors."
"They could be more stable. They were not as resistant as Cisco."
"The solution's web filtering feature could be improved."
"In future releases, I would like to see improved security and an improved CLI (Command-Line Interface)."
"The cost is a little bit higher than other switches."
"Though few, L2 switches are a bit costly to afford."
"The D-Link Ethernet Switches have to be replaced because they are difficult to manage and security is poor. They should add centralized manageability to make the solution better, it will allow administrators to better know what is happening on the network."
"I'd like to see a central management system included as part of their license, not as a separate purchase. Currently, we have to manage switches independently. A central portal for managing all switches and providing visibility would be great."
"The product's stability has certain shortcomings, making it an area where improvements are required."
"Because of this situation, I searched for the products of other vendors. Aruba sent three quotes from its different partners and their quotes were similar, and also they were cheaper than Huawei."
"Dashboard could be improved."
"Huawei Ethernet Switches are scalable but can be improved."
"There could be some improvement in the dashboards and that's something that could be included in the next update."
"I would like to see some improvements in the access layer switch that is available in Aruba."
"The interoperability of the devices, in general, on the Huawei switches is not good and is known to be not good. Maybe they can improve this a bit."
"Huawei Ethernet Switches have not automated its firmware."
