ROI

Sentiment score
6.5
Cynet users report security benefits and operational efficiencies, appreciating automation despite challenges in quantifying exact ROI figures.
Sentiment score
3.2
In-house teams claim McAfee offers high ROI, but executives struggle to see it without C-level focused reports.
The return on investment with Cynet is pretty good, as it doesn't require a dedicated resource to manage, being highly automated.

Customer Service

Sentiment score
7.4
Cynet's customer service is praised for knowledgeable, 24/7 support, though some note room for improvement in speed and availability.
Sentiment score
4.3
Trellix ESM customer service is generally satisfactory, but technical support varies with noted delays and skill gaps.
Their SOC side support, when a threat is detected, is excellent.
My experience with the technical support of Cynet is excellent; they are just one click away.
Their technical support can be improved in terms of speed when opening a ticket.
I would rate support for Trellix ESM 10 out of 10 because if we connect with the support in the UK, we get excellent support.
It's rare for me to need them unless it's an issue with licensing, and they are the best in that regard.

Scalability Issues

Sentiment score
7.7
Cynet efficiently scales across organizations, managing 100,000+ endpoints with excellent performance, supporting diverse systems, and quick deployments.
Sentiment score
8.6
Trellix ESM is highly scalable and adaptable, excelling in enterprise environments but may have limitations for medium enterprises.
We can deploy Cynet for 50,000 users, and we have deployed it at that scale, with the capability to scale higher to 100,000 users without any challenges.
The solution is highly scalable.
Cynet is very scalable.
Scalability is quite easier with Trellix ESM, because all we need to do is add more receivers to it, so it can go to any point.

Stability Issues

Sentiment score
8.3
Cynet is praised for stability and reliability, with high ratings, easy integration, and effective updates addressing minor issues.
Sentiment score
8.3
Trellix ESM is generally stable with effective support, though some users experience bugs and interruptions affecting reliability.
Within six years of usage, we have not had any issues such as outages or downtime.

Room For Improvement

Cynet needs better Android support, improved integrations, enhanced automation, and a more user-friendly dashboard and administration console.
Trellix ESM requires stability, HTML5 migration, and upgrades in customization, integration, support, usability, and AI for improved functionality.
There should be more options than deploying solely through group policy, as the assumption that GPO is working isn’t always the case.
Having a DLP feature would also add value.
Cynet offers enough visibility into our infrastructure, showing all endpoints and other agentless devices.
If there is any device which is not covered, there should not be any additional charges for writing the custom parsers on that.

Setup Cost

Cynet provides flexible, cost-effective licensing with comprehensive features, often considered a better value than competitors like CrowdStrike.
Trellix ESM offers flexible, slightly costly licensing, valued for its SOC features, with straightforward setup and deployment.
I think the pricing of Cynet is fair and one of the better options in the market.
The price of Cynet is reasonable considering its features and support.

Valuable Features

Cynet offers user-friendly, advanced protection with real-time monitoring, easy deployment, competitive pricing, and comprehensive threat detection.
Trellix ESM excels in real-time threat detection, user-friendly interface, quick deployment, and strong integration with other technologies.
The valuable aspects of Cynet are its EDR and XDR components, which are available at a reasonable price point.
One of the important items is the reporting functionality.
The vendor manages our infrastructure's cybersecurity through a Security Operations Center (SOC).
The weakest point is it doesn't cover almost all the devices, so the customer has to be more dependent on the parsers to be written by the Professional Services team.

Helps to monitor and detect cyberattacks
The tool's effectiveness depends on how you define your log sources. To build visibility of incoming and outgoing traffic, you need logs from perimeter defense, firewalls, web application firewalls, and endpoint protection. With good traffic visibility, incident response time is really quick. Trellix ESM provides situation awareness. On the dashboard, I can see outbound and inbound communications to known threat hosts, IPS/IDS activity, and threat intelligence of the perimeter defense in the firewall. This information helps preempt attacks.
