Has good technical support services and a valuable feature for real-time data streaming
Implementing Confluent's schema registry has significantly enhanced our organization's data quality assurance. It helps us understand the various requirements of multiple customers and validates the information for different versions. We can automate the tasks using Confluent Kafka. Thus, it guarantees us the data quality and maintains the integrity of message contracts.

Integration support simplifies automation and reduces errors without existing frustrations
In Workato, I can see everything that goes behind the process. You can see how everything works, how the tool works in the background. If something goes bad and an error appears, I can see why it happened. The best features Workato offers, in my opinion, are the easy integration with many different types of tools. The Workato interface is so easy to use. Workato has impacted my organization positively by reducing errors, which is one of the most important improvements I can see, and one great thing is that in Workato I can do many things that the main BPA platform we use does not do. Error reduction has helped our team in Workato as we can see more details about the most common errors and what makes everything go bad. With this specific data, we can develop a new and better solution. Workato helped us to do this. We can see more details about the errors and solve them. Workato has improved a lot of my work because there I can develop many flows easier and faster. At this moment, I do not have anything that frustrates me.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"A person with a good IT background and HTML will not have any trouble with Confluent."
"The design of the product is extremely well built and it is highly configurable."
"Confluence's greatest asset is its user-friendly interface, coupled with its remarkable ability to seamlessly integrate with a vast range of other solutions."
"Some of the best features are that it's very quick to set up, very easy to have a centralized area that gives us a history of changes, and the ability to give feedback on any information placed onto the pages."
"I would rate the scalability of the solution at eight out of ten. We have 20 people who use Confluent in our organization now, and we hope to increase usage in the future."
"We mostly use the solution's message queues and event-driven architecture."
"The client APIs are the most valuable feature."
"The monitoring module is impressive."
"Workato allows us to streamline our operations by replacing multiple legacy systems with a single integrated platform."
"It is easier to use than other technical open-source technologies."
"It is very easy to use. It takes complex workloads away, and it provides very smooth integration. It has got a lot of out-of-the-box connectors. It has got a lot of out-of-the-box APIs, which makes it really easy to integrate with applications for different use cases, whether it is in finance, HR, or customer operations. It is by far our favorite integration product."
"It's easy to understand, makes flows and is efficient."
"Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
"It serves as a one-stop shop where you can maximize coverage on both the automation and AI side."
"The best feature of Workato that I especially appreciate is its low-code, no-code platform, enabling us to primarily use these methods even when client's requirements are atypical."
"I absolutely think it is worth the money to have Workato as a tool."

Cons

"Confluence could improve the server version of the solution. However, most companies are going to the cloud."
"there is room for improvement in the visualization."
"The formatting aspect within the page can be improved and more powerful."
"In Confluent, there could be a few more VPN options."
"It would help if the knowledge based documents in the support portal could be available for public use as well."
"There is no local support team in Saudi Arabia."
"Currently, in the early stages, I see a gap on the security side. If you are using the SaaS version, we would like to get a fuller, more secure solution that can be adopted right out of the box. Confluence could do a better job sharing best practices or a reusable pattern that others have used, especially for companies that can not afford to hire professional services from Confluent."
"There is a limitation when it comes to seamlessly importing Microsoft documents into Confluent pages, which can be inconvenient for users who frequently work with Microsoft Office tools and need to transition their content to Confluent."
"There are storage limitations in Workato. The event streams come with a limitation of only 512 KB."
"Integrating on-prem applications is challenging, even though they have an on-prem agent."
"From a technical standpoint, the security features at the data orchestration level could be more organized, and improvements in certificate management are necessary."
"There are areas of Workato that have room for improvement, and they continue to develop their AI capabilities."
"Based on my experience, it would be really beneficial if the unit tests were improved because when you change a recipe significantly, they do not work anymore, and you have to remake them all."
"Workato could be improved by adding a proper debugging feature. Currently, there's no way to set breakpoints to stop the process and debug an error as you can in other tools like webMethods."
"The data flow and debugging processes need improvement, especially for tracing issues. Additionally, Workato struggles with scalability when handling high volumes of data, such as terabytes, requiring chunking for initial data loads."
"Workato's Extract, transform, and load (ETL) and extract, load, and transform (ELT) are not very strong and could be improved for very complex transformations."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Confluent is an expensive solution."
"It comes with a high cost."
"Confluent has a yearly license, which is a bit high because it's on a per-user basis."
"You have to pay additional for one or two features."
"The solution is cheaper than other products."
"Regarding pricing, I think Confluent is a premium product, but it's hard for me to say definitively if it's overly expensive. We're still trying to understand if the features and reduced maintenance complexity justify the cost, especially as we scale our platform use."
"The pricing model of Confluent could improve because if you have a classic use case where you're going to use all the features there is no plan to reduce the features. You should be able to pick and choose basic services at a reduced price. The pricing was high for our needs. We should not have to pay for features we do not use."
"Confluent is an expensive solution as we went for a three contract and it was very costly for us."
"Workato is an expensive solution."
"Speaking about price, I would say that it's market-related. Also, there are costs in addition to the standard license fees since different add-ons depend on what you require."
"On a scale of one to ten, the pricing is around a six. We have a consumption model and the pricing is higher. If you are using any kind of ML-based approach, machine learning, or some advanced analytics, you may have to pay more."
