Granular api security has freed team resources and reduced effort but detection accuracy needs work
The feature that stands out to me the most about Cloudbric Managed Rules for AWS WAF is the API protection, as many managed WAF rule sets are originally designed around traditional websites, but Cloudbric integrates a dedicated API protection module aimed at REST APIs, GraphQL endpoints, XML validation, and API-specific attacks. My experience with the API protection module is positive, as I had one implementation for a mobile backend and some FinTech APIs where Cloudbric Managed Rules for AWS WAF really worked wonders for that setup, requiring minimal modifications or tweaking. Another thing I appreciate about Cloudbric Managed Rules for AWS WAF is that it does not force me into a monolithic package, allowing for selective deployments where I can choose specific protections such as only malicious IP, thus providing flexibility to control costs and capacity consumption. Cloudbric Managed Rules for AWS WAF has positively impacted my organization by freeing up human resources that would otherwise be dedicated to creating and managing WAF rules, helping me reduce costs as I can streamline WAF rules for some applications and deploy protection in less than an hour instead of days or weeks.

Pega is a low-code platform that enables organizations to build, automate, and optimize business processes and customer experiences through AI-powered decisioning and workflow automation.
Here are the key areas where Pega Platform could be improved: 1. User Interface (UI) & User Experience (UX) Customization Limitations: The UI layer is tightly coupled with the platform, limiting flexibility for custom front-end development. Constellation Architecture: While it improves consistency, it restricts advanced UI customizations compared to older section-based designs. Learning Curve: Non-technical users find the UI unintuitive despite the low-code promise. 2. Integration & Extensibility Limited Out-of-the-Box Integrations: Users report challenges integrating with non-relational databases and legacy systems. Robotics Integration: Pega RPA (formerly OpenSpan) is not seamlessly integrated with BPM, creating silos in automation. 3. AI & Decisioning AI Capabilities Need Maturity: Users expect more advanced, native AI features without relying on external tools. CDH & Decision Hub: While powerful, these components require deep expertise to configure effectively. 4. Cost & Licensing High Licensing Costs: Pega is often seen as expensive, especially for small and mid-sized enterprises. Lack of Flexible Pricing Models: Calls for subscription-based or usage-based pricing to improve accessibility. 5. Performance & Scalability Scalability Concerns: Some users report performance degradation with large user bases or complex workflows. Upgrade Complexity: Platform upgrades can be time-consuming and disruptive if not planned well. 6. Documentation & Community Support Insufficient Learning Resources: Especially for advanced features, documentation is limited and community support is not as strong as competitors. Talent Availability: Finding skilled Pega professionals remains a challenge in many regions. 7. Low-Code/No-Code Experience Not Fully No-Code: Despite branding, some tasks still require technical intervention, and the drag-and-drop interface can be restrictive 2. Conflict Management: Simultaneous development by multiple users can lead to rule conflicts.

Pros

"Cloudbric Managed Rules for AWS WAF has positively impacted my organization by improving both security and efficiency when deploying these services without having to manage or create those WAF rules myself."
"Cloudbric Managed Rules for AWS WAF has positively impacted my organization by freeing up human resources that would otherwise be dedicated to creating and managing WAF rules, helping me reduce costs as I can streamline WAF rules for some applications and deploy protection in less than an hour instead of days or weeks."
"Pega BPM is definitely one of the topmost BPM packages out there."
"While Pega technical support is okay, it also depends on the issues you need help with and who your contact is with Pega."
"The case management functionality of this solution has been most valuable."
"The most important features of Pega BPM are case management and claims management, and soon they'll also be offering claims processing. I also love Pega BPM in terms of performance. It's also one of the very few user-friendly solutions in the market. It may take some time to learn Pega BPM, but once you get a proper handle on it, tracking and managing processes become very easy anytime, anywhere. Pega BPM also has very good documentation you can use to learn the solution. Pega has a community portal that has complete information and explanations, and if you're facing a challenge, you can post your challenge on the community portal and get a resolution at the same time."
"PegaRules is a very powerful rule engine."
"They're pretty easy to create, and they're pretty easy to deploy."
"Of the business tool available on the market, as of right now, Pega is not the cheapest, but when you choose Pega, it is possible to realize a greater return on investment."
"The tool reduces our costs."

Cons

"I find that the only drawbacks with Cloudbric Managed Rules for AWS WAF are its less market penetration, especially in North America and Europe, resulting in fewer community reviews, published case studies, and a small ecosystem of users, along with less third-party validation and occasional false positives triggered by API payload or JSON bodies."
"I would like to see Pega BPM improve the user experience."
"In the next release of Pega BPM, they should add more ways to do the customer interaction fields in the portals."
"There is room for potential improvement in the performance of PegaRULES, as well as the need to address any existing security concerns. It should be noted that working with an older version of Pega, rather than the latest 8.x versions, may limit certain capabilities and leave room for vulnerabilities that could benefit from increased attention. Furthermore, the user interface (UI) could be a candidate for enhancements. It is worth mentioning that newer versions of Pega may have introduced improvements in these areas."
"The UI needs reworking."
"It should have integration with non-relational databases. A lot of databases are non-relational, and as a company, we are planning to move to NoSQL or open-source databases. It would be good if we are able to install and use Pega on a NoSQL database. They can also try to tailor or organize the company a bit differently and go more towards the microservice concept. I would like Pega to develop machine learning and intelligent AI algorithms. They have a good foundation in terms of the model and the stuff that we are using for some customers, and it will be good to onboard as many machine learning algorithms as possible."
"The product's artificial intelligence capabilities could be improved. More advanced AI features could further optimize process automation and decision-making."
"An area for improvement in Pega BPM is security. It's secure, but it still has a lot of vulnerabilities. Pega BPM is robust, but it still needs some improvement performance-wise."
"The licensing model of Pega BPM is tricky, especially for first-time customers, so it's something that they could improve."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"There are multiple Pega licensing models, including outcome- and revenue-based licensing models"
"Pega BPM is expensive because it's a leading product, but it also delivers a good return on investment (ROI)."
"In terms of the pricing for Pega BPM, other solutions may be cheaper, but it doesn't matter if Pega BPM has a higher price tag because what's important is that it's the best solution, and that is what people look for. If I would rate the pricing for the solution, I'd give it three out of five. You have to pay extra for additional features in Pega BPM."
"Pega is expensive."
"They have both on-premise and cloud licensing. If you are a small to medium company, go for the cloud option because that eliminates a lot of the setting up of your DevTest and performance environments, multiple environments, because you can buy that from Pega with the cloud option. So your setup time really goes down. If you're a large company, then you're better off putting it within your company. You have other skill resources within your company to create environments."
"We mostly have a yearly license."
"It is cost-effective for medium enterprises. It is cheaper than ServiceNow."
"Users have to pay a yearly license cost for Pega BPM, which is expensive."
