Stable, but malware needs improvement and customer support is poor
They need to improve the malware in the product. I am not satisfied with Clearswift because of the lack of customer support. The support is poor, the supplier takes a lot of time and it's expensive. We have some issues here when I contact the supplier, it takes a lot of time for them to get back to us but there's no solution. I am now looking at Symantec as a possible alternative.

Layered email security has protected sensitive research and still flags phishing in real time
The valuable features of Microsoft Exchange Online Protection (EOP) include providing an additional layer of protection, as it builds on the basic Exchange level of security that allows us to get our work done. Another feature I appreciate is the ability to question things, as our Exchange server allows us to identify in real-time if an email is a phishing email or spam email. It really helps us identify risks, especially through our external exchanges via email or through our cloud-based platforms. Our Exchange system blocks any embedded AI from all our applications and products, so we cannot use embedded AI in our daily work from our official laptops because we have secure information. The system is quite locked down.

Pros

"Go for it! I think it's an excellent product with great technical support."

"A stable solution."
"Ability to create your own content-filtering policies with relative ease."
"It is an easy solution."
"The security features provided by Microsoft are robust."
"What I like most about Microsoft Exchange Online Protection is its integration with Windows, so we have one central view for all alerts and incidents."
"We like the holding facility that is available for potentially suspicious URLs, which allows a real-time review to be performed before the email reaches a user's inbox."
"We use the solution to receive emails. We do not use the calendar function as our clients are slow adaptors to the latest features."
"The initial setup was easy. The configuration process is very straightforward."
"You can use the product to create special accounts."
"It's definitely scalable."

Cons

"Malware needs improvement."
"I am not satisfied with Clearswift because of the lack of customer support."
"FTP server and TRUST Manager functionality."
"The product needs more granularity. Some features, like encryption, are not available."
"It kind of has a heavy footprint in terms of an implementation footprint."
"The licensing can be on the expensive side, especially in the cloud space."
"I think the implementation could be more streamlined."
"Some of the searchability when looking for specifics in Exchange logs is tedious."
"Our Exchange system is very locked down and secure, yet we still got hacked."
"Besides price, the main room for improvement includes the sandbox or something similar; the usability that solutions are focused on."
"I am somewhat happy with technical support from Microsoft. Sometimes it takes a while to get through to the right person or team."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"Apart from the license fee for the solution, there are no additional costs."
"Regarding the price, it's comparable to other service providers. We've also looked at Check Point's offerings, and the pricing doesn't seem to be an issue."
"The tool's pricing is excellent."
"Microsoft Exchange Online Protection's pricing is a little bit more because its price has recently increased."
"The product's pricing is competitive for the US market."
"The pricing for the solution depends on what you are trying to achieve with the use of the product, but I know that it is not a cheaply priced product. Yearly payments have to be made towards the licensing fees of the solution."
"The solution's pricing is subscription-based rather than a yearly licensing cost. Pricing is based on the size of the environment and company and can be expensive."
"The product is bundled with Microsoft 365."
