Enables secure remote access and load balancing with enhanced protection features
I find Citrix Gateway valuable for its capabilities as a reverse proxy, providing security to applications exposed to the Internet. Key features include load balancing, dual-factor authentication, clientless VPN, and Web Application Firewall (WAF). The product effectively helps me protect the organization's network from potential threats, thereby securing our environment from hackers and ransomware attacks.

A stable service with good support and little downtime
The best aspects of GoodAccess include: 1. Support system (available 24/7, quick to respond, and highly knowledgeable). GoodAccess offers a very available professional support service - it can be via chat service, email, or phone. The relevant representative was very professional, and responsive questions were answered in a prompt manner. 2. Stable service. Since we rely daily on a VPN to connect with multiple connections, VPN stability is crucial to us. in that sense, GoodAccess never fails. In the two or more years we have been using this service, there have been only one or two downtimes. each for 20 minutes or less. That's impressive.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It's a stable solution while it's running. We don't have to work on it a lot. There are not many bugs, so it's easy to use if you deploy successfully. You can be sure of an uninterrupted solution for quite a long time. Citrix is a good product."
"Citrix Gateway is stable once I am connected."
"Provides good performance and speed."
"These days, I find Citrix products to be very stable, and there is no need to struggle with them."
"The stability of the solution is perfect."
"The solution is scalable."
"Citrix Gateway improved the security of the access of our applications outside the network."
"What I find most valuable about this solution, is that it runs seamlessly."
"The task of managing security and auditing for unauthorized entries has been substantially diminished."
"GoodAccess has significantly improved security in our organization."
"GoodAccess was the only hosted VPN solution we found for a reasonable cost that allowed us to establish a site-to-site VPN network for hundreds of locations across the country."
"The most valuable aspects of the solution are the static IP and speed."
"The speed of the connections is excellent. We have two gateways set up, one for the East Coast US and one for West Coast. Both have excellent speed and the GoodAccess team allowed us to test several gateways to determine which worked best for us prior to locking in the gateways."
"This simple, stable, affordable VPN solution scaled with us over the first year of use, allowing for an expansion of remote/hybrid workers to remotely access key systems otherwise restricted to our internal office network."
"Their user interface is intuitive as it is easy to navigate."
"We love the simple interface and speed and reliability of the system."

Cons

"I'd like to see support for reverse proxy and more security features."
"There could be a faster connection, increased user-friendliness, and more comprehensive dashboards for the platform."
"The solution has unnecessary limitations."
"The initial setup could be made easier."
"We have experienced issues relating to multi-factor authentication"
"When it comes to the VDA environment, making it additionally stable is important."
"As Citrix Gateway is a third party solution, we wish to have one which is more integrated and involves less administration."
"The solution can be a bit pricey."
"The latest upgrade to the Windows version of the app (unconfirmed on the Mac client) adds some unnecessary stylized animation to the GUI."
"Adding one user at a time to the package as compared to blocks of five would be helpful. Currently, we end up with empty seats on our plans."
"We are having a problem with accessing Microsoft Copilot while connected. GoodAccess is working on the issue, but fixing this will be a help to us. There is nothing else at the moment that we need to have improved for our usage."
"The product could improve by extending its chat support beyond 8-5 CET, Monday to Friday, to a 24/7 service for better accessibility and immediate assistance."
"Their recent revision in pricing was a jolt. Though any business understands the need for periodic pricing evaluations, a clearer communication strategy and more gradual changes might have been more palatable for long-term clients like us."
"Currently, the pricing structure is functional yet could benefit from more refined scalability calculations."
"This past year, I did not like having to purchase an upgrade to a plan with a minimum number of seats to get the features we needed. We do not use all of the seats."
"The price tier is not suited for small teams."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I consider Citrix Gateway to be an expensive solution, generally ranging from $5,000 to $15,000 yearly, depending on the model."
"There is a license to use Citrix Gateway and it is less expensive to use when compared to other solutions."
"The solution has a yearly licensing fee."
"There are two or three different models, but you can actually have a CapEx where you purchase the unit outright and then there's a yearly maintenance cost on top for years two and three, and four, or you can actually do a subscription purchase through Citrix cloud and you pay on a monthly basis, or you can have a three-year subscription contract as well. I give the solution a six out of ten for its cost."
"It is expensive and requires proper planning with strategy."
"There is a need to make yearly payments for licensing purposes. Also, it is not an expensive one."
"Citrix is quite expensive."
"Usually with Citrix the issue is the pricing, especially for the African region. We believe it's really expensive."
