"The product's initial setup phase is very easy.""The discovery is excellent. It is agent-based, and it can also operate without one as long as there is an inventory source, such as SCCM. It may take data from the SCCM and normalize it to provide a very clear idea of what the hardware is, what software is running on it, what versions of that software are available, when is the end-of-life, and when they are no longer supported. All of that information is available."

Cons
"The area where we would like to see improvement is in the asset management module.""The solution is cumbersome to use.""Their self-service is not user friendly.""Track-It! works great for a mid-size company, but anything over 700 employees, and trying to use Track-It! for any other areas of the business is difficult.""The product’s current version could be easier and straightforward to work with small IT organizations, similar to the older version.""There are a few items that I would like changed or extra features that could be added to our current version of this software, but those are all going to be addressed in a future software update."

More BMC Track-It! Cons →

"The dashboards provided by the solution have certain shortcomings, making it in areas where improvements are required.""The support is an area that can be improved. As resellers, we are doing the first-level support because we have trained certified engineers, and we provide support. Because we are in India and they do not have a support center in India, the turnaround time for tickets could be improved. We have to rely on Australia for support."

    Overview

    Help Desk Automation

Eliminate the manual triage of issues that leads to stacks of sticky notes and emails, problems falling through the cracks, and overworked IT technicians with no way to track or prioritize work.

    Knowledge Base

Centralize the documentation of known issues and use keyword search to find solutions. Technicians no longer waste time searching the web and troubleshooting issues that have already been solved by others.

    Improved Efficiency

Keep track of how productive the help desk is, identify who needs more training, get feedback on the work technicians perform and justify resource needs to management.
