Centralized control effectively manages devices while updates require powered-on systems
I use Bitdefender GravityZone EDR for the grooming industry. It is primarily utilized for the office environment The features I find most effective for threat detection include centralized control policy distribution and the control of independent devices, such as printers, laptops, and desktops…

Effective threat predictions, simple to deploy, and light on resources
Malwarebytes's initial setup is simple. It is easy to deploy and configure the policies and the configuration. I deployed Malwarebytes for one customer and I did it in under two days. They had approximately 50 users, it took approximately an hour. The steps I took for the implementation were downloading the Malwarebytes management console from the site, installing it, then running the discovery tool, scanning my network, and checking all of the PCs on my network. It's already pre-configured, you don't need to configure anything. The only configuration that I did on the administration console was some of the exclusion from the scan. This is the only rule that I have created. I rate the initial setup of Malwarebytes a ten out of ten.

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The features that are most useful are the simplicity of deploying the package and the cryptosystem for managing all the situations on the computer."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is that it is easy to use and simple, meaning it's not much complicated."
"Bitdefender GravityZone EDR's installation is straightforward."
"I like GravityZone's short implementation time. It takes only a day, at most."
"If you detect a virus, you can isolate the PC from the network and prevent access to the internet, network and routers. Once fixed, you can give access back to the client. We have not had this functionality using other solutions."
"Go for Bitdefender GravityZone EDR without any second thought."
"Bitdefender GravityZone EDR needs to be more stable."
"The most valuable features are the anti-malware and firewall policies. The runtime scans and execution have been beneficial to our business."
"It's very versatile and thorough."
"The protection is really good with Malwarebytes. It's also user friendly and quite easy to set up."
"The technical support services are good."
"Provides successful ransomware shut down operations."
"We don't have to spend any time remediating bad things happening: Not viruses nor ransomware."
"Being able to carry out a full scan on your system."
"Ten times a day, improved signatures will be downloaded, so it is very up-to-date in terms of malware experience."
"I was very satisfied with Malwarebytes in terms of its antivirus abilities."

Cons

"The product fails to provide guides to its users...I want the tool to offer some guides and hands-on training that can guide users who want to learn more about the product without the vendor's help."
"They need to improve the dashboard by adding a dedicated executive view. This view should provide executives with a clear overview of what's happening."
"When patching devices for updates, if a device is not switched on, it does not provide information dynamically."
"The product can be improved by identifying errors."
"While the solution is secure, it could have better integration."
"The main area for improvement is the dashboard of the cloud console, where we manage security policies and groupings. It needs to be more flexible and informative."
"Using this product requires quite a bit of training, which is hard to get."
"Other solutions are cheaper than GravityZone."
"The online reporting needs to be improved. Currently, we have to look at it online, and if we want to download a report, it just downloads as an Excel file. It's just raw information. There needs to be some way to better display it when it's downloaded."
"Malwarebytes should improve its mobile compatibility."
"The product has major problems in almost every facet of setup and use including setup, configuration, lack of functionality, lack of stability, false positives, questionable reporting, inability to protect from randsomeware and poor technical support and development."
"We had a little performance problem with the solution, but that's been resolved. Since then, it's been running well."
"The EPP solution lacks the sophisticated artificial intelligence required for automating reports and letting you know about things in real-time. It stops a suspicious activity in real-time, but it doesn't let you know in real-time. You have to look at a report, and then you find out that something is wrong. You have to manually kick off a scan. With the Advanced EDR solutions, Malwarebytes has the ability to alert you in real-time, but they still don't do automatic remediation or quarantining of devices. That is something that you still have to do manually. So, the endpoint protection piece, which is just like their basic endpoint protection, lacks AI. For the advanced detection and response piece, there is an add-on that comes with it, but it still doesn't go far enough in terms of automatic remediation of viruses. It won't separate that virus from your network if something happens. You have to manually go there and do it."
"I would like to see integration with other vendors going forward."
"The product is a little bit more expensive than the other brands."
"Malwarebytes can improve its network database. Malwarebytes can scan the files and registry. It can scan the system with a light agent. It will not impact the performance of your PC. You can do the full scan and database scan using the EDR, and the RAM and CPU consumption will not increase."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Bitdefender GravityZone EDR is cheaper than Kaspersky. There are no additional costs apart from licensing ones."
"The pricing is competitive."
"There is a fully functional trial that we used and we didn't have any issues."
"The solution is affordable."
"I have very good pricing for the solution, which is one of the reasons why I am not switching to other products. I rate the tool's pricing a two out of ten."
"I rate the product's price a four on a scale of one to ten, where one is low, and ten is high."
"Licensing is done on a yearly basis and it's workstation-based."
"When I first started using this solution I was paying $80 annually. I did not pay any additional fees. There are other solutions that are cheaper on the market."
"Its cost is around $60 a machine. The cost of the total solution for 250 people is about $8,500 a year. If we add EDR to it, it will bring that cost up to about $15,000. The cost for Carbon Black is about $25,000, which is $10,000 more, but you get all AI functions with it."
"I would say that it's affordable. It costs much less than Sentinel One, CrowdStrike, or anything of that nature. But, at the same time, you are getting what you pay for. So I would say it's one of the best when you're comparing traditional NextGen AVs like Webroot that aren't the best in the bunch."
"Its licensing is annual. There are no additional costs beyond the standard licensing fee."
"I believe the retail price is between $40 and $50 per copy."
"Yearly, it is around $50 per client."
"The licensing is per seat, with clients being a little less expensive than servers. If we need more licenses, we can accomplish that within a day. As Malwarebytes adds new features to their product, such as DNS filtering and a patching module, they want to charge us more even though we're a premium user, which isn't ideal."
"It is really expensive. We've got between 30 and 40 licenses every year, and for the number of licenses that we have, we're finding that Malwarebytes on average costs between $900 and $1,000 more per year than comparable options. We're paying about $3,300 per year for these licenses. There are no additional costs beyond the standard licensing fee."
"The platform pricing is competitive with other antivirus products."
