We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Azure DNS is a user-friendly and very easy-to-manage solution.""It is a very stable solution.""Data protection is paramount across cloud platforms""The most valuable feature is the ease of installation.""The speed of the queries is valuable.""The DNS resolution is the most valuable feature.""Azure DNS provides value beyond its user-friendly interface and easy learning curve.""One of the key benefits of Azure DNS is its integration with other Azure services. As it is a solution developed by Microsoft, it is easy to integrate with other Azure offerings. Azure DNS also includes Defender for DNS, a feature that protects against anomalies and threats on the DNS. This added security is provided directly by Microsoft. The integration and security features of Azure DNS make it a valuable option for users of the Azure cloud platform."

"The most valuable feature of Cloudflare DNS is its global reach and it is always evolving.""Even when there is a high load on our servers, Cloudflare is able to cache the data and serve it to users, ensuring they can still access the website.""The solution automatically detects and responds to certain types of traffic based on geolocation.""I get a lot of value from Cloudflare's API because it enables you to build a separate environment inside the solution. You can create a domain for performing test requests before you move to the production environment and connect various domains.""Its most significant benefit to date is the speed with which it refreshes DNS records on the internet once you change it. If you are changing a website or registering a new record, it is very quick.""The solution is stable, and the DNS servers are simple to use.""It is a stable solution. I rate the stability a ten out of ten...I rate the scalability a ten out of ten.""Its ease of integration with Office 365 and the fact that it's a good product compared to what I had before"

Cons
"There are issues with the cloud systems.""The product must be integrated with additional security features.""Domain registration is one of the problems. We need to go to application services or web apps to purchase the domain instead. If that were to be equivalent to AWS's Route 53 that would be good. But, it is not as flexible as that.""The solution lacks scalability.""I would like to see more integration with other platforms, improved stability, enhanced security, and better pricing because there is always room for improvement.""The pricing can be more competitive.""I would like to see more security features and protection.""What needs improvement in Azure DNS is visibility in terms of troubleshooting. It's similar to the area for improvement in Azure Network Watcher, where I can see how the source is going out if I'm troubleshooting a source destination. I can also see the destination. As for seeing how the packet travels, that's what should be improved. It's still lacking in visibility. Suppose I'm looking into backend machines, and if I'm hitting another NPM machine or any machine on the other side, there should be visibility. The tool should tell you that a specific machine is passing through a VPN gateway or route table, routing to a third-party firewall, and then dropping. Azure DNS should show an accurate answer to help the customers, which is its area for improvement."

More Azure DNS Cons →

"Cloudflare doesn't have a reverse lookup. We can only do a DNS lookup to get the IP address from the hostname. It doesn't work if you want to look up the hostname from an IPA address.""The documentation could improve for Cloudflare DNS.""The solution could be more user-friendly.""We have noticed multiple instances where Cloudflare falsely indicates that our servers are down, even when there is no actual load on them. This makes it challenging for us to identify the exact issue.""Areas like how assessment, discovery, and payload are dealt with and how it all comes into your organization can be considered when trying to make suggestions to Cloudflare for improvements.""I believe they currently have this feature, but there will most likely be integration with APIs so we can control some features through API.""The tool needs to improve caching of servers. The product needs to include PFX certificate as well.""The analytics, basically the dashboard, doesn't have much to it."
