Centralized monitoring has improved secure file transfers and supports proactive operations
Centralized monitoring and alerting make it easier and quicker to identify failed or delayed transfers. Axway AMPLIFY Managed File Transfer has secure protocol support like SFTP, FTPS, and HTTPS, which allow safe data exchange with different partners. These features have positively impacted the organization by improving transfer reliability, strengthening security and compliance, reducing manual effort, and enabling faster issue resolutions. This helps ensure consistent delivery and better partner satisfaction. The automation and scheduling capability is especially valuable as it allows us to standardize recurring transfers, reduce manual interventions, and minimize errors. I also appreciate the retry and recovery mechanism, which helps ensure files are delivered when there are temporary network or partner-side issues. Axway AMPLIFY Managed File Transfer's scalability and centralized management allow us to manage multiple partners and high volume from a single platform while maintaining strong security and visibility. Overall, the feature set helps us keep transfers reliable, secure, and easy to support in a production environment.

There are a number of security options that allow you to use ciphers of your preference, as well as very high key length.
They have built a Dropbox-like interface for secure file sharing to external parties using their CompleteBox client and I'd like to see this feature set expanded and built upon further as having a secure internal-only Dropbox solution is very attractive to us. Also, we would like the ability to whitelist IP addresses/networks so that those IP addresses are always allowed access and aren't put on the ban/abusers list.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I think Axway AMPLIFY API Management is the best option on the market at the moment in the enterprise space."
"It’s very flexible."
"The entire organization is using this product for external and internal file transfers."
"Axway AMPLIFY Managed File Transfer positively impacts my organization because we pride ourselves on security, and using it helps convey that to our employees and clients, which speaks volumes."
"It is an easy-to-use and stable product."
"Axway consolidated all of our communications into one platform, simplifying network and port management. Now, all we have to do is open one port to this application, and we can remove all the firewall rules on that port. It's much more straightforward to manage from a security perspective. We used to rely on an archaic FTP solution, but Axway features SFTP, so it was an improvement security-wise."
"The capability to write for my specific needs, meaning the possibility of easily extending the product features to get what I need, is a very important feature for managing transfers with different environments and is very helpful for troubleshooting."
"The product is simple for encrypting data transfer of all the assets in our system."
"Overall, it's a solid secure file transferring server - SFTP/FTPS/SCP/HTTPS."

Cons

"Axway AMPLIFY Managed File Transfer is a strong platform, but there are a few areas that could improve the experience."
"Their monitoring is not up to the mark and needs improvement."
"Axway AMPLIFY Managed File Transfer could be improved as it is not particularly user-friendly; a better user interface for easy navigation and usability is needed, as it takes time to get familiar with if starting from scratch."
"Sometimes, the application's embedded databases couldn't perform well for a higher volume of data."
"We only hope that they continue to keep updating the solution and improving the offering. They could always do more updates and releases."
"It is complicated to manage multi-operations, particularly in handling file name changes within file transcripts."
"Axway is stable up to a certain point, but when the number of file transfers multiplies, the application sometimes crashes."
"The tool can try to make it a little bit more flexible so that we can easily invoke the APIs, and in such a way, it can be made a little bit better."
"The only hassle that sometimes happens is that some of our international IP addresses get blacklisted sometimes and have to be removed from the blacklist."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Pricing and licensing is related to the protocols you choose to support."
"The platform's price aligns with the market."
"It is quite expensive, and because of that, we get good service from them in return for the price paid."
"AMPLIFY's license is a one-time investment."
