Streamlined with good backup processes and secure automation capabilities
AWS Backup is secure and comes with a vault that ensures data is never deleted, offering great security. The pay-as-you-go model is beneficial for scalability, as cost scales with the amount of data backed up. Additionally, it offers automation capabilities, allowing backups to be configured based on custom plans and frequency. It also has built-in monitoring to notify of failures, achieving operational excellence and ease of use.

A scalable solution for backup and restore that has an easy setup
The solution's updates and rollouts of the patches cause a lot of problems. There's no other way around it. Recently, we have also faced RDS and print server issues. One of our clients experienced some remote desktop service issues. These things keep happening with Microsoft. They have a patch, and then they have some other rollout that fixes it. The solution should be more consistent with its patching updates.

Cons

"AWS Backup could benefit from including more services. Currently, it only includes around ten services, while AWS offers over three hundred plus services."
"AWS Backup could improve because you cannot use Glacier or anything but EFS."
"It requires a lot of time to connect the snapshot, identify the files, and restore a single file manually."
"The service disconnects a lot."
"If AWS Backup were a hybrid solution that also supported on-premises backups then it would be very helpful, especially if you are doing a migration to the cloud."

"The user experience needs a little refreshing touch."

"The solution's updates and rollouts of the patches cause a lot of problems."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Regarding CloudArchiver, you purchase per terabyte."
"The solution’s pricing is expensive."
"The solution could also be cheaper."
