Find out what your peers are saying about Veeam Software, Zerto, Commvault and others in Backup and Recovery."It has helped us to provide comprehensive data protection with high recovery rates and a malware scanning feature."
"The solution has been very stable."
"I have found all the features useful in the solution."
"The agentless architecture has minimized our software footprint at the client level."
"The initial setup is easy."
"Backups are quick and painless to set up."
"I found value in the instant recovery with DataMove. I found value in the protection group model for applying policies to VMs. And in the overall UI navigation and the way that the application is laid out in the web browser."
"After linking a cloud subscription, like Azure for example (AWS and Google are also supported), you can "spin" a VM onto the cloud from any backup snapshot."
"One of the most valuable features is the restore functionality that they offer."
"The enterprise search and instant restore are pretty valuable. Also, the Helios stuff is pretty good and the SAS engine for ransom malware detection."
"Converged system. It makes much more sense to have the backup server running on the same hardware as the storage for backup and recovery."
"The four independent node cluster architecture is redundant. It maintains data integrity and load balancing."
"They should improve the malware scanning capabilities, extending it to protect cloud application data."
"The management could be a bit better."
"Cohesity DataProtect takes hours to restore a single file, even a small one."
"We have had our share of minor bugs over the past two years and a few bigger ones."
"Physical RDMs on virtual machines could be a bit easier to configure and plan out."
"I would like to see the management of multiple nodes inside a tenant. If you want to manage a Cohesity environment, you either go on a per-node base, and you can hop from one node to the other, or you need to implement their SaaS capability but it always needs an internet connection. We would really like to have some kind of local management entity so that we can see all the Cohesity nodes in a customer environment and manage those nodes centrally. That's something that we would really like, and they are really working on it."
"This solution is only compatible with a limited number of storage arrays, including Pure and Cisco Hyperflex."
"In terms of the product itself, there have been a handful of patches that have had to be applied outside of the GUI via the command line. It's very straightforward and easy and in the same redundant fashion, but not quite as simple as one or two clicks. I'm hoping that will decrease going forward."
"The GUI is in need of improvement."
"We would love to see direct compatibility with HPE Simplivity, which we also leverage."
