Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Have faced limitations due to integration complexity but have processed documents efficiently and reduced manual effort
Bedrock is basically a framework that can manage multiple large language models. Another useful tool is Amazon Textract which extracts text from documents. It helps with compliance because Amazon Textract itself doesn't store anything. When hundreds of documents are uploaded in an S3 bucket, the S3 bucket will store the documents, but Amazon Textract itself doesn't store anything. It pulls the contents of the documents and then passes them on to the next system, making it compliant. It helps in a great way by reducing the load on LLM and reducing the cost.

Automated document extraction has reduced manual paperwork and improves inspection accuracy
One area of KODAK Info Input Solution that I would like to see improved or enhanced in the future is support, especially sales support. Technical support is adequate. For example, when we were negotiating about the pricing of the solution, the sales support was interested more in us buying the plan, but they were not explaining what the benefits of this solution are or how it is going to help us. The focus was specifically on buying the plan, which I saw was not good. Another thing is about the interface. The interface should be improved. It looks a little bit outdated compared to other modern SaaS platforms. If they can improve on the UI and interface, that would be helpful. To be honest, what we purchased KODAK Info Input Solution for is executing our plan. I don't think I'm not aware about that. Maybe other features should be included, but the features we currently have in KODAK Info Input Solution help execute our plan. If they can improve on analytics, that would be great. The AI summary can tell you what you have, but analytics are not adequate. As I mentioned before, we have to export our data to another third-party tool, Tableau, to analyze our data.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"MetaBots are useful when connecting to websites or to forms with objects that need to be captured."
"We have automated the daily reports and it will trigger automatically once jobs are completed from the backend database which has saved a lot of extra work for our team, saving workforce and time."
"We have improved on IQ Bot collectively with the normal Taskbot that we use. How it got started was that we have a lot of scanned documents to input for our solution. So, I used to get a lot of scanned documents, and extracting or reading the data from those has always been a pain area. We always used to bring a manual person in to do it. Once a manual person did that activity, it was brought into Excel where I could run the bot. With the entry of IQ Bot, it now takes care of my scanned documents, which means IQ Bot does the OCR extraction and gives my data to the Automation Anywhere Taskbot. This means no manual intervention and end-to-end bot processing, along with a happy customer at the end of the day. We provide these services to multiple clients, so we have been doing this for all of our clients."
"What I appreciate most about Automation Anywhere is the high degree of interoperability, and they have both on-premises and cloud versions, which allows us to ensure that we are properly following the protocols and ensuring seamless integration with our native systems."
"The setup is straightforward. Automation Anywhere provides customer success managers to help with the setup."
"What I appreciate most about Automation Anywhere is that it really saves time and reduces a lot of errors, which would have happened if we had to use manual work; so it has that aspect of time saving and reducing errors that are usually made when doing that work manually."
"The ease of use is one of great assets for Automation Anywhere."
"We have seen increased productivity, because what used to take about two days to finish with laymen doing computer work, a bot can finish within a seven to eight hour time frame, meaning we are removing a lot of man-hours."
"Amazon Textract was easy to use."
"With the help of Amazon Textract, we are reducing labor and manpower because with just one API call, we can get all the extracted information with its coordinates."
"The support is actually very good; I've worked with Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, but compared to the others, AWS support is excellent."
"Amazon Textract is superior because it has features that allow you to use analytics or intelligent automation with the OCR; it will automatically identify key and value pairs, so you can use the data easily."
"In a project, I integrated Amazon Textract with Bedrock and passed the extracted document text to the LLM using Bedrock."
"By using KODAK Info Input Solution, we can scan the document, which automatically enters all details, allowing us to avoid mistakes in this way."
"The KODAK Info Input Solution offers fast workflows for extracting information from even the largest documents."
"The KODAK Info Input Solution's customer support is the best."
"What makes KODAK Info Input Solution perfect is that it has comprehensive capabilities, features, and tools including its own printers and scanners that can easily connect and share information."
"The KODAK Info Input Solution collects data automatically, which saves time, unlike when someone has to enter data manually."
"The return on investment with KODAK Info Input Solution is excellent because it has helped us so much and, although we pay $4,800 annually, in return it saves a lot of our time."
"I find the pricing of KODAK Info Input Solution to be friendly and affordable because before implementing the software in our company, our system manager discussed it with us and we found the pricing to be reasonable, which is why we recommended it."
"I rate KODAK Info Input Solution a ten out of ten."

Cons

"Though the courses in the certification's learning hub are great and awesome, there is some more space for adding more explained contents."
"It would be nice to have the IQ Bots integrated with the Enterprise Edition without requiring extra licenses. That would be great."
"The AI centricity is a bit behind compared to the way we see Microsoft and AWS doing it. This is the feedback that I have also given to them. They need to expand themselves to provide more services than just RPA. Only RPA may not be enough for us, and it would not be our preferred choice for an automation tool."
"I would like to have the ability to work on a remote desktop connection, run the recording on it and use all commands."
"What I don't like about Automation Anywhere is that its troubleshooting tools need to be improved because they usually take a long time to solve problems as they come up."
"Most of the time, I find that our internal team finds the solution; the support team isn't able to provide a perfect solution."
"We run these bots in multiple environments from staging to development to production. We find usually in the production environment when we run the bots for them to be stable for a week or two. After a week or two, we see some glitches here and there, though the application doesn't change much. This is one feature which I want Automation Anywhere to work on: Increasing stability."
"We have had some quirkiness happen when integrating the Automation Anywhere with other solutions, such as weird Excel issues or temperamental legacy system issues."
"Sometimes the tabular data does not process properly for complex tabular structures or complex tables."
"They should provide an offline solution because in many areas in India and outside, there are clients facing Internet issues."
"Some easy integration with other systems could be improved."
"The product has not given correct results for me. It was not accurate, especially with handwritten items and documents with pencil marks, which Amazon Textract failed to identify correctly."
"The most significant area for improvement in the KODAK Info Input Solution is its ability to support custom definitions and auto-learn."
"The main challenge concerns the mobile application."
"Integrating KODAK Info Input Solution with other software, such as Laserfiche, presents challenges due to inadequate documentation and an unintuitive web services interface."
"Sometimes there is an accuracy problem with KODAK Info Input Solution. Sometimes while connecting to the database, it shows errors, such as SQL login failed, your port is blocked, or not reachable."
"The only area I think KODAK Info Input Solution could improve on is making their user interface more user-friendly and offering full customer customization of features."
"The KODAK Info Input Solution can improve its connection with scanners. It connects most effectively with Kodak's own scanners, specifically the S S S SMAX Scanners, while connections with other brands, such as Epson or HP, can take more time."
"One area of KODAK Info Input Solution that I would like to see improved or enhanced in the future is support, especially sales support."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Roughly, as of today, it is around $250,000 annually."
"They sell it by license, but if they could charge by case or by interaction, that might be better. Right now, it's expensive when you want to scale or use them for simple processes."
"The licensing fees are approximately $10,000 USD for between five and ten users."
"I feel the cost of licensing is very high for the A2019 version."
"Automation Anywhere is expensive, making it suitable only for enterprise organizations."
"Because it reduced the time duration of our processes, our costs went down."
"The solution is costly and the licensing is very confusing."
"This is a value for the money product."

"The pricing of KODAK Info Input Solution in Mexico is very expensive, and the government's purchasing process requires convincing many stakeholders."
"Although KODAK Info Input Solution's pricing is competitive within the industry's consumption-based model, its approach is overly complex."
