Promotes clear, logical structures preventing impractical configurations and offers seamless integration
The only thing is regarding the management of multi-cloud environments. That's not really possible. So basically, it's wonderful if you manage Microsoft clearly and if you manage Microsoft Azure, but if you need to consume external services and have a global overview of all your consumption, it's not the case. Google, for instance, has tools that help you manage multiple environments, which makes sense because Google is really the cloud provider. So that's why they need to be compliant with the others. But for sure, Microsoft's approach is different, and it's wonderful when you're one hundred percent on Azure. But if you'd like to have something more of a multi-cloud strategy, that's a bit of a gap where they could improve.

Performance and availability of services need improvement
NTT Cloud needs to analyze feature offerings from AWS and Azure. Additionally, they should do marketing and be more vocal about the services. They should further ensure the availability of the services as well. I rate NTT Cloud a three out of ten. In comparison, AWS and Azure are easier to fit into the environment in terms of reliability.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The product is nice and stable. Its performance is great."
"The storage is most valuable. The gateway and documentation are also quite good."
"It has several valuable features, but the load balancer, auto-scaling, and RDS database are the main ones. It is a complete cloud infrastructure solution."
"The product has a lot of new functionality."
"The initial setup is simple and straightforward."
"The most valuable features of Amazon AWS are the EC2 instance for web applications with CDN Networks."
"Our primary use case is to use the solution for running many relatively small instances for back office applications and various other business important applications."
"Since AWS came a bit later to the market, they are always improving and upgrading their platform."
"Stability is straightforward"
"Microsoft Azure is a very dynamic cloud service that allows you to migrate your workload, applications, and data."
"Good information protection feature."
"Virtual machine services, in SaaS services, M365, and Data Lake are all popular with our clients."
"User interface and portal are great."
"It's a great solution. It's so customizable. Every user can create dashboards to suit their needs. We can create and share them with our teammates easily, too."
"The integration with Databricks is the most valuable aspect of the solution."
"The solution's technical support was very good."
"The initial setup process is more accessible than one of its competitors."
"The pricing and services that surround the solution are great. For example, if we need to find a partner in a country where they do not have a cloud, they will help us find that partner. Solutions such as Amazon and Oracle do not offer this level of service."

Cons

"The features that should be improved are that there should be better clarity on their invoicing. There are so many things they charge for - high line items in the invoice. I think there should be more clarity and more ease of use with their billing. I'd like to see better ease of use of with the billing console and a clear dashboard to understand the usage."
"Amazon still has room for improvement in terms of being more mature on the monitoring side and in terms of the native capabilities. Amazon should get their services portfolio stronger on OEM-based workloads such as Microsoft and Oracle. There are a lot of areas that still do not have offerings, so there is room to grow. I would be happy if they bring more maturity to the monitoring capabilities and SaaS offerings. They are strong on Infrastructure as a Service, but they are not mature on SaaS."
"The solution could offer better integration capabilities."
"In future releases, I would like to see more automation."
"It should be easier to monitor the performance and generate analytic information so that we can determine how to provide better support for our clients."
"One thing that Azure offers that I think is good is Migrate appliance. So, Azure has a migrate appliance that allows you to run against workloads to determine the cost, preparedness, and scalability. I haven't found a similar feature in AWS. That kind of service would be great on AWS too if you could point it to the data center."
"The price could be better."
"I think the price can be improved."
"Potential improvements to the price calculator tool"
"Because it has a lot of features, a person just coming into Microsoft Azure might feel that it is a bit complex."
"There needs to be better data security. There are organizations that do not want their data to be submitted to Microsoft, they should have strong encryption."
"There is room for improvement in the pricing structure, user interface design (UI/UX), clear navigation, and documentation support of Microsoft Azure."
"The third-party data-sharing features must be improved."
"The platform should be available at the same price worldwide."
"There are multiple DevOps solutions and tools available in Microsoft Azure, but most of the time they are either in the build mode, meaning you don't get complete support for them because they are either making changes, or changing the names of the particular services. Sometimes, services vanish from the portal. We are not able to see that. I think they actually change the names of the services."
"Stability can suffer in the context of a large architecture."
"NTT Cloud’s performance could be better."
"The solution could use more advanced monitoring."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price could be better."
"It is decently priced. The competition is also bringing its own cloud offerings, such as from Oracle."
"Amazon AWS is really cost-effective."
"The pricing is fair."
"It could be cheaper, and Amazon could also be more transparent with its pricing. I would first expect any product vendor to give me the utmost transparency on pricing information. There shouldn't be any hidden costs. Their service offerings have a bit of segmentation, and they focus more on SMBs. They brought them onto the cloud and encouraged them to use solutions on the cloud. But strategically, they should probably improve that and offer some credits."
"Monthly licensing fee."
"AWS is cost-effective because it saves time. Faster deployments and testing make it very valuable."
"I find Amazon AWS very expensive compare to Microsoft Azure."
"I rate the tool's pricing a six out of ten."
"Price is good and many free features available"
"The price of this solution is one of the things that attracted us to it."
"Their licensing costs might be a little bit lower, compared to AWS, but I'm not sure. I think we get licenses, especially on long-term projects, on a yearly basis. It could be cheaper."
"The current pricing is on a pay-as-you-go subscription."
"The monthly costs become very reasonable because of the discounts you get on longer reserved instances."
"The solution does require a license."
"The price is good, but it can always be cheaper."
"I rate the product’s pricing a four out of ten."
