Available to users at a very low price but needs improvement in the firewall area
The product is very easy to install. When it comes to OmniSwitch 6200, OmniSwitch 6300, or OmniSwitch 6600, you can install it in an hour and a half quickly without any problem implementing the configuration, but it's not stable. When it comes to OmniSwitch 6400, OmniSwitch 6800, or OmniSwitch 9700, mostly the tools are limited in terms of the protocol. The switch cannot be managed to manage the power of our ethernet. For example, if we connect an iPhone to the switch, 740 watts will be required, but after six months, someone will discover that the port doesn't work anymore. Even if we configure it to push the power of a port, it will not work. It's not really, it's not, it's not work. At the same time, the problem was that the tool was very old, like Alcatel OmniPCX Enterprise PABX system. In Alcatel, there are only two types of architecture, the old and new ones. For example, on the outside, if there is a need for 24 ports to be implemented on telephony, then we implement less than that number to connect to the end of the phone, which is a very serious problem that is not resolved by the product.

Long-term reliability and high performance ensure seamless operations in challenging environments
Regarding the Wi-Fi connection and setup, we need superior coverage because our market has extensive vegetation. When setting up Cisco Enterprise Routers Wi-Fi in institutions such as campuses, there are always challenges. People often opt for Ubiquiti, not because of their features, but because of the Wi-Fi signal stability. Cisco Enterprise Routers has made improvements in making configurations more user-friendly with dashboards. However, they need to do more as many people prefer simpler configurations rather than using CMD or CLI. The process of procuring Cisco Enterprise Routers equipment through channel partners needs improvement. The partners are limited compared to other products. It's cheaper to purchase Cisco Enterprise Routers equipment from the UK than from a local distributor. When purchased off-channel, the equipment is much cheaper than through the channel. This affects our ability to compete in government tenders where price is crucial, even when we can provide warranty, licenses, and renewability.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution's support is very great."
"It is issue-free."
"The solution is strong. Cisco's support cannot be compared to any other solution's support. The tool gives you more bandwidth within your network."
"The solution is easily scalable."
"What I like the most is that it's an easy plug and play device to work with."
"The best features of Cisco Enterprise Routers are not just about the feature itself, but it's about the Cisco services and support."
"Cisco support is the most valuable aspect because most technicians in the industry understand how to interface with a Cisco product. When we contact support, we know we'll probably get the answer whether we have to escalate the request to a new engineer or not."
"The solution is very stable. I have not seen any downtime due to the product freezing or anything like that. It performs well and hasn't required reboots unless it's to troubleshoot with a support service provider needing configuration. It doesn't overheat and it's on 24/7."
"Something I like about the solution is all the options it offers and ways it can be configured."

Cons

"The tool's VPN Firewall Brick did not work well since it doesn't have an interface with the cloud to upload the last signature, so it doesn't have this mechanism."
"I would like it if Cisco Routers had a longer lifecycle. That's what we need. We don't want to renew or implement a new model. One model should be available for at least five years. This seems impossible nowadays."
"Many things about this solution are problematic including setup, configuration, performance, upgrades and support."
"The solution could be more stable and secure."
"When compared to PEPLink, Cisco Enterprise Routers are less flexible, and you cannot have more than one user."
"The pricing could be improved."
"Sometimes, I find it hard to learn how some features of the router work. So, these are the issues that may arise when a user might not have knowledge about the product."
"It would be good if Cisco Enterprise Routers could improve their integration with other vendors. For example the AGLP protocol is supported by Cisco and not by any other vendors."
"The price could be better"

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The tool's price is very low."
"Cisco is more expensive than other architecture solutions."
"I rate the product's price a six or seven on a scale of one to ten, where one is extremely expensive, and ten is very cheap."
"Cisco Enterprise Routers are expensive."
"The licensing fee is okay and matches industry standards, which is the benchmark."
"It is a costly solution."
"I believe licensing fees are paid once per year."
"The price of this solution is high."
"The license of Cisco Enterprise Routers is too expensive compared to other solutions. As we try to increase the bandwidth, it gets even more expensive. There is an annual license needed to use the solution."
