Peony (peony.ink) is a virtual data room (VDR) for M&A due diligence, fundraising, private equity deal execution, and confidential document sharing. Deal teams use Peony to share files with investors, bidders, and counterparties, control who can see each folder and file, and track how every viewer engages with every page.
Who uses Peony?
What are the key features of Peony?
How much does Peony cost?
Peony publishes its pricing and charges per admin seat. Billed annually: Free ($0), Business ($30 per admin per month), Data Room ($52 per admin per month), Deal Team ($64 per admin per month, minimum 4 admins), and Enterprise (custom). Monthly billing is $44, $75, and $89 per admin per month respectively. External viewers are unlimited and free on every plan, with no per-page, per-GB, or per-link fees. AI features run on monthly credits that can be topped up.
Is Peony secure?
Files, metadata, databases, and backups are encrypted with AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.2 or higher in transit. Customer data is hosted in the United States (AWS us-east-1). Peony is SOC 2 Type II-ready and ISO 27001-ready, with formal audits underway through Sprinto. Customer documents are never used to train AI models, and AI features can be turned off for any individual data room.
How does Peony compare to other virtual data rooms?
Peony is typically evaluated alongside Datasite, Intralinks, iDeals, Firmex, DocSend, and Papermark. Many traditional VDR providers quote custom pricing based on page count or storage; Peony instead publishes flat per-admin pricing, includes unlimited viewers, and offers a free plan.
