Unified data workflows have improved reporting quality and now support better decisions
The best features Pyramid Analytics offers include a broad range of features, which I think is one of the advantages of it. It has a lot of connectors and a lot of different capabilities. I would say end-to-end capabilities is one of the nice features of it. Regarding the end-to-end capabilities and lots of connectors, I found the connectors most valuable. If you are trying to do Snowflake, SQL server, or any of the normal database platforms that you see in the cloud or on-premises, it has those connectors built in. You don't have to worry about writing custom drivers. That is a nice feature to have. Pyramid Analytics has impacted my organization positively in that I use it for my clients' organizations. For my organization, it is great because it gives me a technology platform that clients enjoy using and I am proficient with. For my clients, it is about delivering on their aspirations in terms of what they want to do with their data and where they want to head in their organization. This is definitely a tool that we can use in order to get there. After implementing Pyramid Analytics for my clients, I have seen measurable outcomes and specific improvements, such as having a single platform that gets them from the raw data to the endpoint reporting. I think that streamlining has a positive effect on the quality of the outputs. The quality of the outputs definitely leads to better decision making.

Provides great flexibility in terms of data transformation
I really like the flexibility the solution provides in terms of data transformation. Workday introduced Prism Analytics mainly because many clients wanted to merge data from different systems and then work with it to get some insights out of it. For that, they previously used tools like Power BI. Workday Prism Analytics gives you the power to do all the data transformations within Workday itself without taking out crucial data to a third system. I really like the way Workday has enabled Prism Analytics to be that one solution where you can bring everything. It also provides you the flexibility that things like the security model of Workday are still in place. You don't have to redo your security configuration if you do the data transformation outside Workday.

Pros

"The best features Pyramid Analytics offers that stand out to me include the Present feature, the dynamic reporting capability, Time Intelligence, and data modeling, all of which are excellent."
"Pyramid Analytics has allowed us to be more insightful in our reporting, positively impacting our organization."
"Pyramid Analytics positively impacts my organization by enabling me to communicate effectively with my direct supervisor, who sometimes does not fully understand the scope of my program, by allowing me to demonstrate data that showcases my contribution and proves that I provide good, cost-effective care while maintaining the lowest rates of amputation, re-amputation, and revision rates in the nation, which is value that transcends mere appointment counts."
"It seems quite performant in analyzing multi-dimensional information sets and presenting them."
"It proved to be a very powerful and useful tool due to its breakdown capabilities, easy reporting features, flexibility in building custom calculations, and the ability to integrate them into reports."
"Pyramid Analytics has positively impacted my organization by allowing us to analyze sales data and identify opportunities regarding how to use the budget and where to allocate it to get more sales."
"I think the most valuable Pyramid Analytics feature is the solution's ability to drill down and dice in the loop. I think it is better than InExcel or Power BI."

"The general amount of negative comments that I am hearing from my team makes me very wary."
"I liked that I could write my own query inside Pyramid Analytics and extract the data the way I wanted it, but I did not like that it was too complex to display just a simple report, with so many menus and sub-menus, and the calculations were a bit complex."
"One thing that could be added that could be useful is more rich data cataloging, which Pyramid Analytics doesn't really have at the moment."
"Pyramid Analytics could be improved to be more user-friendly. I thought the most difficult reporting tool was Tableau, but I found Pyramid Analytics to be somewhat more complex."
