Cloud security has improved remote access and has reduced costs for smaller client sites
I have used Cloudflare One's Identity-Aware Proxy, and it is quite straightforward from what I have seen so far. The app registration on the Azure side integrates fully into Cloudflare, and I am very satisfied with that part because it is easy to set up. The integration of Cloudflare One's Secure Web Gateway and Zero Trust Network Access works without any issues. That part is pretty automatic, and if you complete the rest of the setup, it comes together by itself with no issues from my side. What makes it nice is that we can actually start replacing on-site firewalls at this stage for the smaller clients because it does not matter if they go to a coffee shop or work from home; they are still secured by the same connection. The hops get shorter and you get better latency. We have done testing to see if it is better. One thing that we did notice with our proof of concept with our current client is that they have people connecting from the UK. When they used their previous VPN solution, uploading CAD drawings and other files to the server took a long time. They mentioned that it is much quicker on Cloudflare One's solution. I definitely believe that is part of the improved performance, and I am satisfied with that as well. What is nice about Cloudflare One is that it makes the setup easier and also easier to train technicians to maintain it. Compared to legacy systems, we do not need to get fancy firewalls in place that are costly. That is definitely also a cost-saver with Cloudflare One.

Ensures seamless real-time alerts and smooth deployment with room for Linux functionality improvement
The licensing issue was eventually resolved by the team, but the Linux client issue persisted. Not all the policies applied to the Linux clients were as effective as those for Mac and Windows. That was somewhat of a downside for us. I cannot speak to whether they have improved this in the past two years. An area for improvement is that when a package is provided, there should be no additional elements required from the user's side. For instance, there is an activation key, and you have to specify the host where you need to redirect and fetch the license. That was disappointing when it comes to mass deployment.

Effortless email encryption has protected sensitive communications and supports compliance
I find the initial setup very easy because of the intuitive and straightforward interface. The system is clear to understand and quick to process. I appreciate that it ensures our private information remains secure and confidential, which supports the company in staying compliant. Virtru Data Protection Gateway protects our sensitive communications and reduces data exposure risk. It provides strong access controls and helps us maintain information security in my organization. Some of the best features that Virtru Data Protection Gateway offers are the intuitive and straightforward interface, security, encryption, and secure sharing. I rely on its easy-to-use features the most in my daily work. I find it simple to implement and navigate. The security ensures protection for sensitive information. I value the secure communication feature, which ensures our client's information is safely shared via email, and the secure sharing capability, which supports our compliance and privacy efforts. Data security provided by Virtru email encryption ensures safe communication and protection against unauthorized access. Virtru Data Protection Gateway has positively impacted my organization as we have seen an increase in our security.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Cloudflare Zero Trust Platform removes the risk of exposing the applications to the public."
"The solution has different options that can be used to differentiate DDoS attacks."
"It's a perfect solution from my perspective; it's easy to understand and easy to configure."
"Cloudflare DDoS mitigates DDoS attacks."
"Cloudflare is by far the most effective solution that I have come across."
"Cloudflare DDoS is better than its competitors for its security, deployment, and scalability."
"The best feature is rate limiting. If I'm expecting 500 visits per hour, Cloudflare will limit the requests if I suddenly get 50,000."
"Using Cloudflare One makes my work quite easy because for DDoS protection, all I need to do is understand the OSI model and click; it makes it easier than trying to write a command line or use a Linux command."
"There are many vendors out there who do protection access of external devices, however, I haven't found any vendors other than Endpoint Protector who let you enable or disable the device without being on WiFi or Internet, just by giving a code, which is a very good option for our workforce in remote locations with extremely weak Internet connections."
"I rate technical support as ten out of ten."
"The versatility regarding the exit point Endpoint Protector supports in making sure that important data doesn't leave our organization is vital for us. In the industry that we're in, data breaches are a significant concern. While our staff is contractually required to maintain confidentiality and they're all very aware that they shouldn't try and transfer company data of different classifications elsewhere to non-company devices, there's a risk."
"In terms of the ease of deployment, the ease of management, and the ease of actually getting the basis of Endpoint Protector to move on, EPP is one of the easiest."
"If you need a good DLP software to protect your data, I recommend that you go for CoSoSys without any second thought."
"I like the data protection feature. Our users were working on a client's CRM application with a lot of client-related EIA information. We did not want the users to be able to send any of this data outside. I also like its ability to protect against data leaks via emails and social media. I like that you can deploy it quickly, and it requires no training."
"When the implementation occurred, we were functional within a month, with no need for follow-up support."
"There are effectively two areas of DLP to look at from a technical perspective. One is how it performs the pickup of information traversing the system and the other is how the policy engine, which analyzes the data, works. On the first aspect, CoSoSys is probably best of breed for macOS because they're reasonably well-integrated into the operating system. They're looking at the file system operations level, not at the execution level."
"I truly value this platform because it provides and safeguards my data, our data, and our client's data, making it an effortless email encryption solution with a seamless Gmail integration tool."
"Since we started using Virtru Data Protection Gateway, we have been able to save manual work and a few steps of daily work of our representatives, save 50 to 60 hours a month, and ensure customer sensitivity information is well encrypted and protected, preventing data breaches and ensuring regulation compliance, which allows us to continue doing business."

Cons

"The tool should provide on-premise versions. Currently, all versions are cloud-based."
"The onboarding process can be improved a little bit."
"For the topic of improvement, providing some training material is one of my suggestions."
"Our subscription plan for the solution has a limitation of bot signatures."
"There are premium tier live service and lower tier live service, so we opted for the lower tier. But there is no medium tier where we pay a little extra and get a bit more service. So if that can be improved."
"Feedback could be enhanced. While I work efficiently with Clover as a partner in Mexico City, sometimes the information and requests are easier to manage with more concrete solutions."
"Feedback could be enhanced."
"Our customers no longer use Cloudflare because its service is subpar."
"When you want to uninstall and reinstall, there are a lot of issues. You have to do a lot of workarounds to reinstall Endpoint Protector. This is a major issue that we have constantly because we still have old systems with XP. While there are only very few, we need to run them because there are machines attached that only run on XP. When we need to uninstall and reinstall on XP or Windows 10, we have serious issues left in the Registry Editor everywhere. There is a lot of manual interference to get the reinstallation to work. For the uninstallation of Endpoint Protector, they need to work on this so it doesn't leave any leftovers behind."
"It misses Network level DLP and SaaS DLP offerings."
"The reports and analysis could be improved. There could be a little more data, and the logs could be a little more granular, but it's nothing major. It does what it needs to do, and it's fine."
"The policy engine could use a bit of work. It's somewhat lacking in terms of the granularity of the policies that you can create."
"When we need to uninstall and reinstall on XP or Windows 10, we have serious issues left in the Registry Editor everywhere."
"The areas of Netwrix Endpoint Protector that need to be improved include a desire for more graphical interfaces in their systems, as many people today would prefer to see graphical formats for data presentation."
"One of the areas where there is room for improvement is support. It takes time for them to respond. They need to respond on time. Instead of sending an email, I think it would be very helpful to say, 'Let's set up a WebEx to see what's really going on,' instead of the back and forth of email."
"It would be helpful if they offered discounted pricing for long-term contracts to serve customers who are interested in committing for periods of three years, five years, or longer."
"Virtru Data Protection Gateway could be improved by introducing support for all AWS, and an easy one-click integration with CRM tools would be highly appreciated."
"One area that Virtru Data Protection Gateway should improve is that I sometimes experience problems when using a different browser or when I have to switch computers."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing of the solution is cheap. The licensing cost is also very low. I rate the cost and pricing a three out of ten."
"The solution is not that expensive."
"The price tag is no longer $200,000, but rather $300,000 to $400,000. It's twice."
"The solution's pricing lacks transparency."
"Cloudflare Zero Trust Platform's pricing is good."
"The pricing is somewhere in the middle. I would rate the pricing a seven out of ten."
"My company has to make yearly payments towards the licensing costs attached to the solution. There are no hidden charges apart from the licensing costs of the solution."
"The prices are slightly expensive."
"We have a limited budget for our media section. When we purchased it last year, we migrated from a different solution to this solution, and at that time, they told us that the cost will remain the same, but this year, they increased the price by 20% or something like that. I am not sure about the exact price, but let's say from 8,000, it increased to 10,000. It was a huge gap, and we couldn't bear this cost because we have a limited budget. When we spoke to them, they understood our problem and reduced it to the same price that we had last year."
"The product has average pricing."
"The pricing is reasonable for this particular market."
"This solution was not too cheap or too expensive. But for the amount of features that they are offering, it was reasonable."
"We found the pricing pretty attractive. However, volume-based pricing wasn't available."
"From what we've seen, their pricing is a lot lower than the other stuff we've looked at. I actually don't have any concerns with their pricing. They were probably the most reasonable company out there for the features that were offered. It was pretty straightforward in terms of licensing, and you just pay for the license."
"Pricing is quite reasonable. For smaller organizations, it lets them get into the product domain, whereas a lot of vendors won't even talk to them. CoSoSys is just about at that sweet spot of being serious enough that you have to budget for it, but at the same time, affordable enough that the value is well worth it."
"The minimum number of licenses they sell is 50 or 150 users."
