Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Automated invoice conciliation has reduced manual checks and now delivers accurate OCR data
The best features Nanonets offers are OCR and integrations. These features have reduced manual efforts significantly. Currently, manual checking of data between the database and invoices is no longer necessary, as AI is now performing that work. Nanonets is an AI OCR model that I trained to deliver purposeful output. As an AI model, I can briefly describe and extract data from documents. Nanonets is primarily focused on documents, allowing me to extract data, compare it, and it is also useful for handwritten documents. It delivers output that is 99% accurate for handwritten documents as well. I consider Nanonets a good tool that I have worked with, and I have worked on its integration using Python.

Robust document capture boosts efficiency and integration options
The best features include multiple channel capabilities such as fax, different file transfers, and paper scans. It can be integrated with multiple channels and can capture images, even from mobile devices integrating into OpenText Capture. Currently, it has introduced AI for data extraction and document processing. OpenText Capture's impact on automating document-intensive tasks such as accounts payables or loan processing is significant. It has the capability to capture table structures or multiple line items from images, including line items and final amounts for invoice processing. The main benefits of OpenText Capture are particularly valuable when capturing content and extracting structured or unstructured data. This product can be integrated into any point-of-sale system, Salesforce, SAP, or other environments, reducing manual data entry and related tasks. This feature has helped organizations handle large volumes of data with precision, especially regarding resource consumption. The automation reduces human effort that would otherwise be required for classification and extraction tasks.

"The integration is helpful. We have quite a few use cases where we've integrated with Microsoft tools and local record systems, such as SAP and Vertex AI."
"Automation Anywhere consistently ranks at the top, matching our vision and strategy for implementing transformative solutions."
"The bot creation process is simple and useful. Whatever you need to do, it is there. If there is something else, there are the MetaBot functions."
"AA RPA has drastically reduced speed of execution and thus turn around time of processes, ensuring all service level agreements are met and our customers get a great experience."
"The most valuable feature is IQ Bot, as it allowed us to train it to extract important logistical information from customer PDF documents, irrespective of the format."
"The product has improved our organization cost-wise and bank savings in transactions. Everything has been changed for the better."
"Nanonets has positively impacted my organization by providing a solution that works for us as developers."
"The accuracy percentage of Nanonets was around 92-93%, which has had a high impact because it has reduced approximately 9.2 FTEs in manual efforts."
"The best features Nanonets offers include their workflow and OCR detection capabilities, which have positively impacted my organization by helping detect edge cases in OCR that require some post-processing or pre-processing and have improved efficiency and reduced errors."
"The enterprise and capturing feature of OpenText is its valuable feature. As we have integrated CRM with OpenText."
"The main benefits of OpenText Capture are particularly valuable when capturing content and extracting structured or unstructured data, and this feature has helped organizations handle large volumes of data with precision, especially regarding resource consumption."
"It allows you to image capture, scan documents and use machine learning to automatically index and tie them."
"OpenText Intelligent Capture is pretty good."
"Being able to have accurate extraction is most valuable. It has machine learning and other tools to make the extraction more accurate."
"It is a mature product and a leader in the industry."
"The solution is very powerful because it allows for custom scripting."

Cons

"Automation Anywhere is unable to connect to the database directly."
"Unfortunately, this process was not used for a long time due to latency issues and a functionality gap."
"I would like to see them continue building out documentation with more video-aides."
"They should consider being more multi-platform."
"Overall, I am pretty satisfied with Automation Anywhere. The UI is pretty straightforward. However, the customer service could be improved."
"From an IT perspective, we had too many issues and headaches."
"We do not have a precise area that needs improvement, but sometimes while running bots that traverse through different websites, the screen hangs or takes time to fully load."
"We would like to see the scalability improve from a local perspective."
"I have observed that while training Nanonets, we must provide a larger number of examples or documents."
"I think Nanonets can be improved as the pricing seems to be a bit high, which is one of the things they should improve."
"Nanonets can be improved with a larger number of samples and test scenarios."
"Knowledge of .NET is required to effectively use the solution or it can be complicated."
"The area for improvement primarily centers around licensing concerns rather than technical issues. Captiva, intended for larger clients, poses challenges for medium and small businesses due to licensing costs. The current licensing model is based on volume, such as purchasing a volume for one million dollars per year for scanning. This pricing structure may be prohibitive for companies with constrained budgets. Another aspect requiring attention is the mobile capture feature, which, although experiencing recent enhancements in intelligent document processing through AI, could benefit from further improvements. Specifically, there is room for enhancement in enabling users to efficiently capture documents using their smartphones."
"The setup is medium complexity."
"If something is handwritten and attached to an email, it doesn't capture the information correctly."
"I would say what most of the document management solutions are lacking is smartness to detect the duplicate storage of the documents."
"It can be more user-friendly, and it should also have more reporting capabilities. There are also a few other things that need improvement."
"Its functionality is good, but it has to be made more accurate. If it is not customized and handheld properly, the recognition and captures won't be accurate."
"We are using it to improve the image and the documentation for the cases. And sometimes, some cases have more than fifteen different types. We use some tools as fixed standard analysis and provide information to support the different types to take some decisions and help in an automated process. We choose the case type and subtype DNS scanning documents from the data entry up."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is reasonable, but it can always be a little bit cheaper."
"Automation Anywhere is competitive... Pega is somewhat comparable, but Pega also requires a lot more infrastructure and a lot more experience to get up and running."
"Considering the cost, it is a bit high, but worth the price because the output accuracy is high."
"Automation Anywhere's pricing is significantly higher than other RPA solutions."
"The cost is affordable, which makes an easy barrier to entry for the RPA market."
"Their licensing processes are in par with most industry standards."
"If I compare it with Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere is cheaper. Blue Prism is very costly. Automation Anywhere's pricing follows the market, not less and not more."
"The licensing fees are approximately $10,000 USD for between five and ten users."

"OpenText is an expensive solution."
"Some customers say the solution can get costly because it requires licenses or enterprise packages."
