It's easy to use and restore. Tech support is also good.
Easy to use and restore. Restoring when there is issue. Backup bigger virtual machines (VMs). Six years. No. Some big servers don't seem to backup well. Good. Straightforward. It's easy to use.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The features that we like the most are the Backup Copy and Active Directory Integration. They have helped us to save a lot of time since we do not have to make the backup copies “by hand”."
"This is a user-friendly solution that has a lot of certifications and documentation for the Microsoft Hyper-V infrastructure."
"The easy management and a good overview are the most important aspects."
"The user interface is good, and it's user-friendly, and I also like its usability with hyper-convergence products like Nutanix and others in the data infrastructure."
"We are able to take backups on a regular interval and restore data/VMs as we choose making the process work as advertised."
"Four times the reduction in the cost of our vSphere backups, which provides the base features required for our environment."
"Nakivo is an easy-to-use, robust and cost-effective backup solution."
"With Nakivo, we found a partner who is very cooperative, has a very interesting price point and is even more than an alternative!"
"Easy to use and restore."

Cons

"We want the backup job to consume fewer resources, as the utilization is very high if we choose the best compression."
"There is a lack of native (web-based) update functionality. To update the Linux appliance, you need to download a script and run commands from SSH. This is unacceptable."
"The process for getting unused diskspace back from the data repository is slow."
"An improvement would be to include a general data backup solution that is not only for virtual machines."
"There could be better integration with other solutions, such as Amazon S3."
"There are many features we have not had the opportunity to try, such as Tape Backups, Office 365 backups, and many other things."
"Some of Nakivo's backup features need improvement. For example, I would like some more options for job scheduling."
"I would like to see support for backing up from other platforms, such as physical machines."
"Some big servers don't seem to backup well."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing, setup costs, and licensing are easy to understand, no matter how you want to implement it."
"Nakivo has a good price-performance ratio."
"The solution's pricing is adequate for its features and quality."
"You have a lot of different options when it comes to pricing and the pricing models are pretty flexible and affordable."
"The product is quite cheap compared to other products on the market, but despite this, it is rich in features both at the level of backup and recovery as well as at the level of additional options."
"Regarding the licensing, I would advise speaking to the Nakivo representatives and you can get the best option for your environment."
"The prices are high."
"The licensing model is crystal clear on the website."
