Layered email security has protected sensitive research and still flags phishing in real time
The valuable features of Microsoft Exchange Online Protection (EOP) include providing an additional layer of protection, as it builds on the basic Exchange level of security that allows us to get our work done. Another feature I appreciate is the ability to question things, as our Exchange server allows us to identify in real-time if an email is a phishing email or spam email. It really helps us identify risks, especially through our external exchanges via email or through our cloud-based platforms. Our Exchange system blocks any embedded AI from all our applications and products, so we cannot use embedded AI in our daily work from our official laptops because we have secure information. The system is quite locked down.

Ease of application management and feature richness impress
With Sophos Home, it's easy to implement; you just log in and manage the various computers as to what you want to detect. You can set up the type of security you want and reject things such as firearms, drugs, and porn, so I find it's very easy to use, very reasonably priced, and they give you Sophos Home for free when we use some of the other products that they recently changed over on the commercial side. I really don't have much comment on the banking protection or keylogger security feature, but I do realize that Sophos Home is good protection for us, and I'm just about to install a Sophos hardware firewall in our company as well.

Pros

"It is easy to configure, easy to use, easy to add exclusions, easy to track, and easy to add anything else if you want."
"It's all running in the backend, so it doesn't affect the app functionality."
"We can migrate seamlessly without any disruptions to our operations."
"The initial setup is just a standard process."
"Microsoft Exchange Online Protection (EOP) is the best email solution with more features and robust security, making it ideal for corporate use."

"It has a really nice web-based administration console."
"You can use the product to create special accounts."
"The tool's most valuable feature is ransomware protection. Its integration with other Sophos security products is good, and the AI features have made it an efficient product."
"With Sophos Home, it's easy to implement; you just log in and manage the various computers as to what you want to detect."

Cons

"The solution must improve the user experience."
"It wasn't easy or intuitive enough for me to start using it. So, the reason was that the solution changed."
"Microsoft has some training portals, but more could be developed."
"The product's end-of-life cycle could be extended."
"They should specify the difference between Defender for Office 365 and Exchange Online Protection."
"The management interface of Microsoft Exchange Online Protection (EOP) could be intuitive."
"We would like the solution to have more in-built intelligence in the way that it reviews potential security risks, rather than our team constantly having to update the policies."
"If a company wants to put in line back-to-back anti-spam solutions, they need to work on that part because Microsoft recommends either you use EOP as a front line or you don't use it."
"For homeowners, determining ROI is challenging. With personal emails or maybe a few business emails, if you don't get hacked, then you're good."
"I expect an improvement with mobile integration. I want mobile devices to have better security, like Sophos Home's total security. Users often need to connect to a cloud platform to manage or change settings, which can be difficult. To improve this, providing minimal local settings could help users."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price could be lower."
"The product is expensive."
"The tool's pricing is excellent."
"Online Protection is fairly expensive."
"Regarding the price, it's comparable to other service providers. We've also looked at Check Point's offerings, and the pricing doesn't seem to be an issue."
"Microsoft Exchange Online Protection is a good solution at an affordable price. It is a good investment."
"It's a high price."
"The solution's pricing is subscription-based rather than a yearly licensing cost. Pricing is based on the size of the environment and company and can be expensive."
