Patch management and integration capabilities drive effective endpoint response management
We work with Kaspersky and two modalities: the Censi final and Censi license. Most of our clients work in financial areas and industry. Our regular enterprise business relies on these solutions Kaspersky is viable with ADR; the Endpoint Detection response feature and the BitLocker management…

The solution has an easy setup but needs to mature on cloud environment security
The maturity of the Kubernetes security is absent in Carbon Black CB Defense. The solution has to mature on container security and a lot of cloud environment security. Security is available only for Windows, while security for Linux and Mac is not very strong. The deadlock issue causes me to put more effort into installing an upgrade. The numerous issues with the environment of the product solution should be addressed. Work orders are taking more than two months to get resolved. There's been one issue open for two months, and the solution they gave is being implemented step by step. Still, it is not meeting the requirements and breaking the system. Hence, our business is completely disturbed.

Quotes from Members

"Has some great features not available elsewhere."
"The pricing is decent."
"This solution is quite responsive and the tech support engineers are kind and good."
"It helps improve security in our organization."
"Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response is an effective protection solution."
"We have a central console and from there you can monitor all workstations via an agent."
"The detection engine running on endpoints works very well and provides a good protection level."
"Provides visibility into the chain of attack and threats that use valid operating system processes to execute attacks."
"This product has the capability of uploading scripts to the tool and this is a very comprehensive feature."
"The initial setup was fairly easy."
"The product enables device controls, helping us protect the devices and prevent data leakages."
"Technical support is excellent."
"I like its protection very much. It protects and allows us to lock the environment pretty tightly. Nothing that is not approved through Carbon Black can run in the environment. There is no default. Everything goes through Carbon Black Protect, and everything has to be first approved. Every software is considered to be guilty before prove innocent."
"It is a scalable solution...The initial setup was straightforward."
"Carbon Black Defense has a higher detection ratio because it's cloud-based and it also does a lookup to virus total."

Cons

"Kaspersky EDR currently has limited OS support. They only focus on Windows Server and Windows. Kaspersky recently released a Linux version, but it's rudimentary. It does not have any advanced features available on Windows platforms. They should increase their footprint on the Linux side and support other operating systems on the market, like MacOS."
"The Kaspersky console could be easier to navigate and generate reports from."
"If it covered more products, it would improve the XDR."
"The license prices for this solution are quite high."
"There is a problem with the solution, it came from Russia and we are looking for a replacement."
"I would like to integrate Kaspersky with my Log Collector SIEM. Right now that's not possible."
"I would like better integration with other products."
"The solution lacks DLP."
"Sensor deployment requires extensive fine-tuning, and creating deployment packages is time-consuming."
"The feature set for the firewall needs improvement."
"It would be nice to have additional forensic tools that you can build into the back end."
"The tech support communicates, but it's just not with movement."
"Its compatibility can be improved. It did crash a server during deployment, which is not something that I want to happen. Its deployment should also be easier. The whole deployment cycle needs to be simplified. It is an enterprise solution, and to set it up right now, you have to be an expert."
"Carbon Black needs to do a better job of proving their platform in the industry, and providing a bit more access to do industry testing with real world examples to help prove their platform."
"This solution could have greater granular control on how certain applications work."
"The UI interface needs improvement. The management needs further work in future versions."
